not having eftpos facilities is a joke.. i would be interested to know why eftpos is not available at flute.

just because you have agoodproduct, doesn't mean you have to be rude.. i can't stress enough how disgraceful the behaviour of the service staff is. they made me feel like they were doing me a favour by allowing me to buy their product. where does this attitude come from? management? they've done their dash with me.

having a great product only gets you half-way there to having agoodreputation around town. customer service is vital. please change, flute.

we came here based on friend's recommendation. there have agoodvariety of dessert/ cakes to choose from. we bought three different type of cakes and there were quite good. service was average.

pies were okay. nothing amazing. coffee wasgoodfor what i've come to expect from this area, but i've definitely had better in other states. that sounds snobby, but i'm being as objective as anyone could be.

perhaps i didn't try the right dishes, or come on agoodday, but quite sure why this place is rating so highly currently.

consistentlygoodcake every time! if you are in need for a birthday cake or something sweet for a tea party, you can't go wrong with any choice from the flute.

just divine. a culinary heaven one must experience in person. each cake is a work of art almost toogoodto eat; a layered decadence worth every calorie!

hidden away in fyshwick is this little bakery that sells cakes that make you smile. the decor is simple and fresh and a bit french. i love the choices of freshly made bread that looks fantastic. unfortunately i'm only one person so i chose to do two desserts.. a cake called mr smith and a apple and raisin struesel. the cake was so soft and creamy and just plain delicious. not only did it taste great it was very appealing to look at.. in fact so much so i ended up buying it. the struesel was so flaky and had a beautiful subtle taste that onlygoodpastries. there was a bit of line when i got there but it powers through quickly. the customer service is ok but maybe they're just worn out with the amount of work they had to do. parking is a bit of challenge but worth every bite of their delicious food.

pretty birthday cake. ordered wild strawberry cake for my girlfriend's birthday celebration. it was very pretty but very sweet. would be much better if they reduce the sugar to add more tanginess to the cake. but overall it was agoodvalue cake.

...dedicated a lot of time to bringing people on board with the flute love, from bringing cakes to work to telling everyone who’ll listen about it. it’s now two years since i last wrote about it, so it’s agoodopportunity to check whether anything’s changed (hint: no – it’s just asgoodas it’s always been).

why you needgoodstaff with knowledge and patience. . .. the flute bakery: where i've been known to bundle a half dozen cakes and pastries into a sturdy box for a flight home to melbourne. i 'found' the flute when i was working at adfa and visiting the toyworld across the road looking for christmas presents. having lunch there (probably a rare beef and semi-sundried tomato half-baguette, coffee and a treat) turned out to be the best present, and i make a point of going back even on the briefest of visits. staff are always helpful, as i seem to want a description of just about every cake, pastry and delight they have; sometimes relaying this information over the phone so i can stock up before i travel. for me, the flute is one of those places where it doesn't matter what i've tried, i've enjoyed them all; although apple or pear (shaped!) tarts (or galettes?), passionfruit or lemon tarts, apple and (black-) berry crumble, strawberry tarts, baked new york cheesecakes, pear and almond tarts, and multi-layered chocolate cakes come to mind as some of my favourites! (did i mention the lunchtime beef, lamb or chicken pies... if you can find the room?)
the hours are short and cash-only may be an inconvenience to some; i'm prepared to work around those issues. i did threaten to hijack their brand new delivery truck when it backed up to the hellenic club in phillip on a friday afternoon - so there's a tip if you want to find flute treats at other times because the flute also supplies restaurants around the act .

barista. decided to go to flute because i have had reasonablygoodservice and food.
ordered "hot"coffee as some establishments serve warm coffee, the coffee arrived warm not hot so i alerted a staff member who took it away, when it came back was over heated either micro of steam wand. it was not drinkable.
i asked for the money back and the woman behind the counter threw the money onto the counter and the fellow standing behind the counter said why don't you open a coffee shop next door! and then asked me to leave?
my understanding is that a little criticism is welcome so as to improve operations.
this is a message to be given to my ten best friends.
hospitality does not equal rudeness.

horrible costumer service. the cakes taste great if someone else buys it for you and you don't need to go inside the shop. the staff just don't care about the costumer. very carefree and rude. i went there to ask about their birthday cakes and tried one of the cakes there. it wasgoodbut i will not order the birthday cake as i don't want to go to this shop again.

very rude service. the customer service of the owner left a lasting impression. very rude, inconsiderate and dismissive. also the water glasses were not clean. cash only business as well, which is not convenient. silo, mawson patisseries, dream cuisine patisserie are all equally asgoodfood with much better ambiance and customer service.

this post is an amalgamation of the times i've visited the flute bakery and their tasty treats. i'd heard of flute bakery from several people, but as they're opening times are monday to friday 9am-3pm, it's almost impossible to visit. earlier this year, on a day off, i decided to check this place out for afternoon tea and agoodbook. in an odd location in the industrial area of fyshwick, you can’t miss it, as there are tables, chairs and outdoor umbrellas on the little front patio. there are a wide variety of little cakes, pastries and macarons. i couldn’t help but get excited at all the colours and types of cakes. no photos of the display cabinet are allowed, but they are happy for you to take photos of the food after you’ve purchased it. photos from the last few times i've visited: chocolate mousse cake salted caramel cake the 10 textured milk chocolate and white chocolate cake - what can i say but wow! absolutely loved this and could’ve kept eating 10 textured milk chocolate and wh

good but not always open. everything here is delicious, particularly the brioche and macarons. luckily working in fyshwick, we often get their cakes for work birthdays which is a treat! however, they aren't always open when you would expect which can be a bit annoying, particularly because they are not open on weekends! (mon-fri 9-3) overall agoodexperience though.

hidden treasure in fyshwick. this little gem of a patisserie, masked by trees and nestled between giant industrial foundries is quite like a lovely little petunia in an onion patch. as the smoggy haze lifts whilst driving along barrier street, one will notice a glut of activity that is unexpected in such unspectacular surrounds. curious, and hungry, i decide to stop and sample the delicacies that lie within. the delicious aromas strike you first, and while the menu is simple, the pies and desserts look excellent. i had a fresh baguette with a verygoodcoffee, and a macaroon forgoodmeasure, also very good
