i always make an effort to come out to fyshwick every now and then to visit flute and try a new sweet treat from their cake cabinet. our family regularly visit when we can to try a new cake or dessert from here since they have never failed to impress us. all of thecakeswe have tried are always full of flavour and textures, and most importantly, aren't so sickeningly sweet that you dont enjoy it after the third spoon. most of their smallcakesand tarts are $7.50 which is great value for what you get, and a lot cheaper than other patisseries or cafes.
my three favourites (difficultly narrowed down) would be the pistachio cake as it is full of differently flavoured and textured layers topped with a macaron, their cafe nicosette which is a triangular shaped dessert (photo attached) with macadamias and hazelnuts adding a wonderful crunch, and the strawberry cake which similarly to the pistachio cake, consists of multiple layers of different textures and tastes but the strawberry doesn't taste artificial, adding a touch of tartness.
