don't know how they stay in business. overpriced, limited hours, answering machine instead of picking up the phone.
they gave us the wrong birthdaycakes($75 worth) last friday. by the time we got home they were closed. i went in to speak with them about it and the owner was rude and didn’t care. very amateurish operation even by fyshwick standards.

don't waste your money here. rude attitude and management..cakesare overpriced and the managemt and staff are extremely rude. definitely not a "family friendly" or "child friendly" place. there are plenty of other quality bakeries around town that hands down have better food and service.
if you want to be treated rudely then flute is the place to go! don't waste your money here.

the flute seems extremely out of place in the industrial locale of fyshwick, it's a sophisticated and refined bakery that tempts you from the moment you enter through its front-doors. the selection ofcakesat the flute is fantastic and each piece is presented perfectly. definitely worth a visit, my recommendation is the strawberry tart, the fruit is perfect, the filling is rich and creamy and the base pastry is buttery, fresh and flavourful.

i always make an effort to come out to fyshwick every now and then to visit flute and try a new sweet treat from their cake cabinet. our family regularly visit when we can to try a new cake or dessert from here since they have never failed to impress us. all of thecakeswe have tried are always full of flavour and textures, and most importantly, aren't so sickeningly sweet that you dont enjoy it after the third spoon. most of their smallcakesand tarts are $7.50 which is great value for what you get, and a lot cheaper than other patisseries or cafes.

my three favourites (difficultly narrowed down) would be the pistachio cake as it is full of differently flavoured and textured layers topped with a macaron, their cafe nicosette which is a triangular shaped dessert (photo attached) with macadamias and hazelnuts adding a wonderful crunch, and the strawberry cake which similarly to the pistachio cake, consists of multiple layers of different textures and tastes but the strawberry doesn't taste artificial, adding a touch of tartness.

hidden away in fyshwick is this little bakery that sellscakesthat make you smile. the decor is simple and fresh and a bit french. i love the choices of freshly made bread that looks fantastic. unfortunately i'm only one person so i chose to do two desserts.. a cake called mr smith and a apple and raisin struesel. the cake was so soft and creamy and just plain delicious. not only did it taste great it was very appealing to look at.. in fact so much so i ended up buying it. the struesel was so flaky and had a beautiful subtle taste that only good pastries. there was a bit of line when i got there but it powers through quickly. the customer service is ok but maybe they're just worn out with the amount of work they had to do. parking is a bit of challenge but worth every bite of their delicious food.

i go here everyday to get coffees for the office and the coffee is very hit or miss. they have a vast selection of pastries andcakeswhich are all delicious. there are also pies and quiches which have the best flaky buttery crusts! great place to grab a cuppa and sit in the sun on the patio.

beautiful selection ofcakesand pastries. just a pity that it doesn't open on weekends, making it quite hard for a working person from the north side to get there during the week.

i absolutely love flute bakery, every time i have some time off from work, i’ll make a point of ensuring that i get down to fyshwick and hoard as manycakesfrom flute bakery as possible. i love thecakesthey make, they’re always super delicious, tasty and somehow also keep pretty well too. i mean i like adriano zumbo as much as the next person but flute bakery is just always so consistent, every cake you get is so damn good.

the flute is a quaint, french provincial style patisserie. they’re only open from 8am – 3pm on weekdays, which makes it incredibly difficult to get to unless you take some time off from work. thecakesand pies taste amazing and are very reasonably priced.

flute bakery is sadly only open monday to friday (approx 7-3pm). it offers beautifulcakesand pastries, well priced tea $2.50 per pot for one, coffee $3.50 and great bread. an assiette, a selection of four different treats is available for $8, making it a great way to share and savour a range of smaller portions. the decor is fine, but more ‘bakery’ like than cafe. a great spot for a coffee if weekday shopping in fyshwick.

beautiful food, crap location. parking is a nightmare and eating in is eating out in the open, sans cutlery, so quite rough really. fortunately the food is refined and lovely. great pastry for the yummy pies in savoury land, but thecakesare complex, beautiful and delicious. had to use my coffee spoon to eat mine, but i guess that could have been worse!
