nice place for a quick lunch. my family and i stopped in here for a quick lunch on a day trip to the beach. the server was very friendly and checked on us regularly without hovering too much. it's a very laidback atmosphere and very kid friendly. the food wasgoodand portions were large. i can't honestly say there was anything spectacularlygoodabout the food but it was good. we will go back when in fb again.

best shrimp in charleston handsdown!!!. i was born and raised in charleston so i've been to many seafood spots and the crab shack is still my favorite by far. the wait staff are very friendly and will take care of you withgoodservice. if you love shrimp (and crab) this is you're destination. see you there tonight. wayne

we just love thegoodservice on s dock right on the water. our crabs & shrimp were fresh and yummy!

verygoodatmosphere and food. reallygoodwaite staff and the food come out very quick, would highly recommend. will definitely be coming back.

it was good, not great. everyone at the table ordered seafood and wasn't overly impressed with it considering it's on the coast. i got the bbq pork sandwich and wasn't impressed with it at all. i know that's what i get for going to a seafood place and not ordering seafood but for someone that doesn't like seafood, i was disappointed with my options. also felt like the restaurant could use agoodcleaning and update.

we sat outside and it was open for a nice breeze and fans running. wife ordered mahi-mahi grilled sandwich and i had mahi-mahi fried tacos. both were cooked well. nothing spectacular but worth the money. service was friendly just took a long tome for the food and did not seem overly busy. i tried the key lime pie. it was good. a traditional type. thick and heavier with that key lime tang. over prettygoodbut not awesome.

great service.goodatmosphere.. nice live music out on deck! food was delish ! my husband got the shrimp and crab casserole and is still raving about how wonderful it was ! overall a great spot in folly ! we will return for sure !!!

excellent food, reasonably priced, great service. the place was packed, had a wait to get in, and it was obvious why. we had the best crab cake we've ever had. also had the crab stuffed flounder which was also excellent.gooddrink selection as well, with a couple house specialty drinks that were great.

while visiting some family over thanksgiving i was told you must visit this place. i agree it's a neat place and a fun place for the family. i was not impressed with the peel to eat shrimp
although it's verygoodbut very small and the crawdads i figured i would try since i have never tried them we're so small and expensive i wish a place like that would give you what you're paying for. but it is a great attraction.

this is the place to go if you are interested ingoodfood for a reasonable price. what it lacks in amenities it makes up for in atmosphere. from the grave cans under the table to the baby gator farm where you can feed the alligators while you wait for your table, the crab shack provides a unique experience. get the special, you won't be disappointed.

terrible service, sub-par food. my flounder sandwich was about 2 inches of bread, and .05 inches of fish. definitely a tourist trap. if you enjoy actualgoodfood, you should avoid this spot.

go for the experience, not necessarily for the food. decided to give this spot a thumbs up because it is an unusual restaurant. there are plenty of things to see and do before and after dinning. this spot is not for seafood lovers as the seafood is way overcooked and not the highest quality. that said, the platters of food are plentiful and not all that expensive. this place is not for the festidious as the cleaning standards are more than a bit lax. tables, menus etc are rather greasy (the bathrooms could use agoodcleaning). and that grease is not butter, a great big no no in my books. the crab shack is very busy so it's quite popular. i'm glad we went, will not be back, but it was a nice experience. the seafood lover and clean freak in me make a return most unlikely.
