we usually go to rita's, but we wanted to try something new. we visited thecrabshack, our waitress was fabulous! there were three guests in my party and three out of three entrees were not done, our steamed oysters were not steamed at all, actually they were as raw as our raw ones! great atmosphere, great service but the food did leave somethingto be ddesired. sorry guys just not up to standard!

lunch stop. theircrabsoup and shrimp burgers are the best i've ever eaten. well worth the stop of you are in the neighborhood.

will return again for crabs and shrimp

nice for a quick meal. we stopped at folly beachcrabshack after a day visiting magnolia plantation and driving around the area. the seafood was good, family friendly atmosphere and reasonably priced. my husband ordered the captain's platter and i had the fried shrimp. the food was nicely crisp, fresh and the fries were not soggy. the waitress was very polite and was very attentive. overall, not a bad place to stop after a day's outing for a decent seafood meal.

so much food!. my husband and i enjoyed the seafood platter for two, which included an array of alaskancrablegs (my fave), jonahcrabclaws, shrimp, crawfish, mussels, corn, sausage and potatoes. if you have a party of three, this is definitely enough food for three. we were stuffed!

i've come here throughout the years and always enjoy the mix of delicious seafood.

best shrimp in charleston handsdown!!!. i was born and raised in charleston so i've been to many seafood spots and thecrabshack is still my favorite by far. the wait staff are very friendly and will take care of you with good service. if you love shrimp (and crab) this is you're destination. see you there tonight. wayne

tybee island is the easternmost point of the u.s. state of georgia, and is one of the barrier islands off the east coast of the u.s. thecrabshack therefore is the easternmost restaurant in the state of georgia, 18 miles from downtown savannah, and worth the drive. built from the ground up by an enterprising returnee couple, from the remnants of a local marina and bait shop, the restaurant, bar, and gift shop features a menu that offers  fresh seafood, local and otherwise, as well as georgia style barbecue.

great service. good atmosphere.. nice live music out on deck! food was delish ! my husband got the shrimp andcrabcasserole and is still raving about how wonderful it was ! overall a great spot in folly ! we will return for sure !!!

great atmosphere and even better food. been here more than a handful of times and have never left disappointed or hungry. you are missing out if you don't get thecrablegs!!! and the corn has to be some of the sweetest on the planet.

amazing. love theircrablegs, with butter sauce. also i love their gumbo. family friendly. lots of cats. little shop for souvenirs. and you can even feed alligators. love this restaurant!!

decided to eat some seafood while at folly beach. hit thecrabshack and got their "marsh madness" special - a bucket of shrimp, mussels, and clams served with potatoes and corn. my son got a similar bucket with crab. my wife decided on the coconut shrimp. overall the buckets were pretty good. a bit spendy - especially the crab. the coconut shrimp was just ok. shrimp were good, but sides were not very good. buckets were tasty, but the corn was waaaaaay over cooked. the service was a bit slow. although we enjoyed our meals, i would try a different spot next time.

came on presidents' day service was slow friendly but slow food came out after a very long wait would not recommend to anyone
the restaurant was not crowded was somewhat busy all we order appetizers house puppies andcrabstuffed mushrooms and a house salad it took 25 to 30 minutes just to get them out i consider that a very long wait for appetizers

below is what is what happened in august 2016 and this is what happened nov.1, 2016. the food as always-----amazing. fresh, simple and so affordable! the freshest crab, flounder and shrimp my family has ever had. after my disquieting experience with the bar maid the owner reached out to me personally! he gave me his # and promised to make it it right.....and he did!  he addressed our concerns, spoke to us when we returned to thecrabshack and made sure our meal was to die for. the service? amazing and impeccable . katherine was just top notch. there aren't enough people like ron around anymore. a down to earth person who really cares about his customers! viva lacrabshack. btw.....thecrabballs and fiery shrimp were top shelf! thank you! 

 the food is really fresh and really tasty! i was so impressed! we were in town for weekend and grabbed "to go" on the way home. the food was ready when i arrived, but i was taken aback by a very  presumptuous bartender/server. she gave me the total and i paid her in cash. she just assumed i was giving her a 20% tip for handing me the bag and kept the change! she turned her back on me said thank you and walked away! a few people sitting at the bar got a chuckle at my expense

excellent food, reasonably priced, great service. the place was packed, had a wait to get in, and it was obvious why. we had the bestcrabcake we've ever had. also had thecrabstuffed flounder which was also excellent. good drink selection as well, with a couple house specialty drinks that were great.
