horrible service.. this review is a little late, this experience happened back in apri.. however, thought it was important to note.
i went in with a friend for brunch on a saturday around 11:30am. the restaurant wasn't very busy and we were seated right away. no waitress showed up at our table for 20 minutes, despite other tables being sat around us after we sat and getting glasses of water and receiving acknowledgment from the server. we had to stop a waitress to inquire if we could get a waitress. instead of taking our order, or grabbing a drink order, she ran off saying she would find our waitress. 5 minutes later she showed up. took only our drink order and ran away beforf we could say we could give our entire order. took another 10 minutes to get drink of tea, coffee and waters and to take our orders. food arrived quickly, however i asked for an additional item which never showed up. our waitress never bothered to ask how we were doing halfway through our meal so i couldn't even bring it to her attention. unacceptable service from a restaurant that is supposed to be "high end". i'm a waitress myself, and so i know what good service is, and bauer was exceptionally bad.
would have asked to speak to a manager, however, i didnt have time as i was on my way to work, so i sent them an email letting them know of the terrible service we received. got a reply from the manager, julie, offering me a gift card to make up for the lack of service and to provide my address. replied to her with my contact information and i have yet to receive any acknowledgment of my email or the gift card that was promised to me. if you're going to offer a solution to a serious lack of service i received, you should honestly follow through. never been so disappointed in the service in a restaurant before and i am a foodie who eats out 2-3 times a week. haven't ben back since and will never set foot in the bauer kitchen.
