the arrogant butcher

if you want a trendy place with so so food.. we tried this place on two separate occasions and both times we left disappointed. the food is not worth the money.. and they are extremely frugal with their wine pour and drinks.. we wont be back.

excellent. a friend and i went here before a dbacks game, after going into another neighborhood restaurant and leaving after seeing a dirty rag on one of the dining tables. when i brought it to the attn of a server and asked that he remove it he replied "why"? i would say the name of the restaurant but since we did not dine there i can not comment on the food. again this was not arrogant butcher. so glad we didnt stay there and came to arrogant b. started with the zuchinni fritters..hot fresh and the aioli was a perfect dip. the turkey pastrami on pretzel bread will be in my head until i return for another fix. the pastrami was perfectly salty and lean and the cole slaw on top was crisp, fresh and a perfect topping. the service was excellent and the manager came over to make sure all was going well. i am not a big fox restaurant concepts fan generally speaking, but this place is great. loved the decor also..masculine with plaid touches, hip, open and it felt like i was downtown, which i was.

this is my kind of restaurant. wonderful wine and spirits, mixed precisely. the best appetizers in town. tremendous.

great restaurant near many entertainment venues!

in town for a team meeting, we were in a room set up for larger groups. great cocktails - the blood orange paloma and the pink drink got high ratings. the appetizers were fabulous! i enjoyed the pretzels and provolone fondue, the smoked carnitas nachos, and crispy shrimp - so much so that the only "dinner" that i had was the wonderful steakhouse chopped salad which was fresh and yummy! my colleagues had the grilled salmon, beef short rib stew, diver scallops, and the crispy chicken breast - and all got rave reviews! a great dinner place to feed many palates!!

kinda overpriced and generally way too packed for a restaurant. food is good though and they have an interesting set up might try again next time i'm at a game.

the food is absolutely amazing!  this has been somewhere that i have been wanting to try for a while. finally had the chance with a group of friends but a bit pricey for what it is.  i would go again and try something new.

great atmosphere this is classy but casual. you can wear jeans or dress up if a special occasion. the food is fantastic. they specialize in seafood and steak. i am a sucker for filet tenderloins so that is what i ordered. asked for medium rare but it was served closer to medium with just a little pink. it was seasoned perfectly and came with a side of crispy potatoes which are small potatoes that are flash fried and removed. they had a crispy skin but the inside was like baked potato with moist and flavorful center. wine selection was above average but not over the top. many wines were only available in full bottles which doesn't help if you are not sharing a bottle. selection of by-the-glass wines were quality and not regular supermarket selection. i would come back next time in phoenix.

place was amazing! the scallops were part of the one of the best meals i’ve ever had. the service was great, the drinks were good, the atmosphere was fun, and it is right downtown. in walking distance of most of the hotels, and totally worth the trip. i will come back anytime i am in phoenix.

tried to go here last night, but the wait was long. made reservations tonight. pretty delicious. started with a butcher platter--assortment of meats and cheese, other varied appetizers (including deviled eggs!). tried the short rib green chili stew. it was excellent, with a little spice, and a fried egg on top. had to order the salted caramel pudding. was way overfull, but it was worth it.

we are looking for a place to eat downtown and chose this place. the food was very good,but a tad on the expensive side considering we are in downtown phoenix though it may be right for the rent and location. my steak was good really tasty and the smashed potatoes were as well. we enjoyed a bottle of zinfandel while we waited for the x-ambassadors to make their appearance. the server was very good and saw to all our needs as they are supposed to.

house soft pretzels & provolone fondue. da bomb!

unmet expectations. we heard this was the place to go several years ago. this trip we were finally able to work it in. we researched the menus online, including drink and happy hour. we sat at the bar. dirty glasses remained until i removed them. despite four fellows working behind the bar, it took quite some time before we were acknowledged. we did not get the menus we had seen online. we ordered an appetizer. the manager explained that it had erred regarding the menus. while the shrimp appetizer was fine, the experience was not what we anticipated. we returned to the sheraton where we were warmly welcomed, sat at a clean table, and had excellent food (braised short ribs) and service.

great food and service!. it was the first time for my family and i at the arrogant butcher. what a great time! the food was great. it came to us as we were told it would, just perfect. our server wesley was the greatest person to talk to. he went over all the specials and answered all our questions about the menu. we never had to look for him for anything we wanted, he was always there asking us if we needed anything. with great food and service like we got from wesley, we will be returning to the arrogant butcher again and again!

went for happy hour. we ordered the mussels,toasts,and hummus. are three were fantastic. i will be coming back for dinner definitely.

a good dinner option. great location near us airways center. the pretzel appetizer was a good starter and the sweet potato tortellini were fantastic.
