great restaurant near many entertainment venues!

in town for a team meeting, we were in a room set up for larger groups.greatcocktails - the blood orange paloma and the pink drink got high ratings. the appetizers were fabulous! i enjoyed the pretzels and provolone fondue, the smoked carnitas nachos, and crispy shrimp - so much so that the only "dinner" that i had was the wonderful steakhouse chopped salad which was fresh and yummy! my colleagues had the grilled salmon, beef short rib stew, diver scallops, and the crispy chicken breast - and all got rave reviews! agreatdinner place to feed many palates!!

great food and service!. it was the first time for my family and i at the arrogant butcher. what agreattime! the food was great. it came to us as we were told it would, just perfect. our server wesley was the greatest person to talk to. he went over all the specials and answered all our questions about the menu. we never had to look for him for anything we wanted, he was always there asking us if we needed anything. withgreatfood and service like we got from wesley, we will be returning to the arrogant butcher again and again!

game night. high energy, limited but imaginative menu. second time, first was at the bar. the bar was packed and slower service, even with 3 bartenders, than the restaurant. food ranged from good togreatburger and the service was excellent and very upbeat even on game night with party of seven.

horrible experience. the girlfriend and i were looking for a fun, new place and walked by here. decided to give it a shot. first of all we are seated in a double table for 4 which made the immediate feel awkward for an intimate date. settings where still set for 4. after being dropped off by the hostess, we sat for 15-20 minutes with no greeting from a server whatsoever. after sitting awkwardly for 20 minutes watching servers walk by we decided to leave as we couldn't even have the courtesy of a glass of water (it's arizona... really?) i strongly discourage people from going here, i later heard the food is over priced and not thatgreatanyway.

agreatrestaurant. had a reservation and was seated immediately. nicole did a superb job telling us about the menu and made superb suggestions. the pretzel and cheese was just wonderful, and the beet salad was incredible. but the cioppino topped everything!!! fresh, full of seafood and crab legs in a wonderful broth. this is becoming our new best restaurant.

this place is worth the visit. we absolutely loved the food, it was incredible. the filet here is by far the best i have ever had. for appetizers we got the pretzel bites and provolone fondue, what agreattaste! i did have cocktails.and did not care for the after school special, not my style of drink. i then tried the pink drink and felt like it was too sweet. i will definitely go back, i'll stick with wine though.

arrogant pricing. been here twice for lunch and the food is really good, the atmosphere is nice, the service is ok could be better but they just opened so i cut them some slack. the portions are very small and it very expensive for a downtown eatery. they are going to have a tough time competing for the lunch business when there are other places around with lower price points andgreatspecial like half off lunch entrees. its going to be interesting to see how long they can last in a downtown well known to be an undesirable dining destination, unless there is a game or something going on.

fresh and delicious. it was a good thing we made reservations as i didn't realize that there were two games being played both baseball and basketball. the arrogant butcher is located kitty-corner across from the basketball (us airways) arena on the ne corner of e jefferson and s 1st st.
they have a large outdoor patio, greatatmosphere both inside and out, and the staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful, even when i had to call because after parking i was completely lost!
the drinks came quickly, the appetizers even sooner for it being quite busy on a wednesday night. the potato fritters were the lightest puffiest that i've ever had. seasoned with bacon and finely grated cheddar and served with a perfectly seasoned truffle creme fraiche. the soft pretzels salted with fleur de sel had me at the first bite, even before i dipped them into the vivaciously silky provolone fondue that gave up just the barest hint of smokiness.

dinner was fantastic, i had the rock shrimp, andouille, and chicken jambalaya which came on the dry side and not in a bad way, i'm just saying not a lot of broth and to be honest i didn't miss it at all. the okra was cooked to perfection, still lightly toothsome and green.
my husband had the skirt steak with fingerling potatoes and green beans and it came out with wonderful smokey grill flavor, the beans and potatoes both done perfectly and served over a vegetable medley au jus.

desert comes in small glass jars and thank god because i'm quite full at this point but they have a creme caramel pudding that i have to try, and oh yes am glad i did. it was smooth, silky, and utter perfection. golden caramel flavor with the lush delivery of the custard.
also for tasting was the blueberry cheesecake which was almost a pudding cheesecake in the jar topped with a fresh blueberry topping crumble. nice fresh flavor and smoothness but die hard ny cheesecake fans will likely not be happy.

overall very happy we went and will be happy to return. it was nice to dine out in the city.
