cosy casual meal

saw the reviews for this place and booked. would not realise restaurant was there if not told as the front looks like a cafe and the restaurant is in the back. the waiter was friendly and engaging and the place was full with couples and families. i had the cob salad which was huge but tasty and my husband had the meatloaf. meals were reasonably priced. this is agreatplace to go for a casual meal.

the second outpost of ted’s bulletin is opening on monday, august 19th on 14th street nw. it’s agreataddition to the neighborhood as it will be one of the few places serving breakfast during the week, in addition to lunch, dinner, and late-night drinks. the team opened the doors to the media last tonight to check out the new space, and to sample some of the delicious treats. blueberry cheesecake pop-tarts… are you drooling yet? additionally, the new ted’s will have a bakery that will feature donuts, cookies, and other pastries that can be taken to-go. a perfect place to pick up an impressive dessert for your dinner party without having to be stuck in the kitchen baking all day. in addition, the new restaurant is quite spacious with a huge bar area that plays to the old-school malt shop theme, and has comfortable booths for larger parties. ted’s bulletin is located at 1818 14th street nw. follow them on twitter: @ tedsbulletin .

burger was good. handcut fries were good. milkshakes good. homemade pop tarts excellent.greatplace to try. it was a little noisy in the inside.

birthday dinner. our granddaughter's birthday dinner wasgreatfun. the food was large portioned andgreattasting. the potato salad was so yummy. down side was we ate so much dinner until we had no room for desert. hint: face your kids toward the wall showing the silent movie and they will be mesmerized.

great place. i have been twice and both times were an absolute success. both times i had their "adult" shakes and they were great. had the nutty professor and the bailey's caramel macchiato. the burger was favorable and the chicken fried steak decent. would def recommend this place to visitors of dc. worth the wait if there is one.greatservice.

good food and good service. i was looking for something unique near the hill and this was a good recommendation. the chicken fried steak wasgreatbut the line of adult milkshakes and homemade pop-tarts sealed it for me.

great service,greatfood. the kids loved the grilled cheese and the hamburger. we also loved the greek salad and the veggie burger (southwest style) was the best i have ever had

news! news! we love ted's!. wow. just wow. from the miraculous interior salvaged from a philadelphia civic center, to thegreatdiner-ware, to the fabulously friendly service, ted's bulletin seduced us in short order. pancakes were good (if a little chewy--don't overwork the batter, ok?), the sausage was amazing (sweet, then really spicy, then mmmmmm), and the hashbrowns shockingly crunchy and creamy at the same time. wondrous.

the only complaint: the biscuits and the homemade poptarts were bone dry, stealing most of the anticipated enjoyment from them. i know the biscuits went with the sausage gravy (nice!) but they were dry like the sahara and about as absorbant as linoleum. it was ok but with a serving of 4 biscuits--oooof--it was too much dryness. same with the poptarts: crumbly, not flaky; granular, not pastry-like.

small, tiny, minor issues: this place knows exactly who it is and its clientele. we plan on coming back!

food is good. most people give horror stories about the service at ted's. i suggest sitting at the counter and save yourself a bad, on the spot, twitter review. every time i go to ted's i sit at the counter and the service couldn't be better.
the food is agreattwist on diner food and they have perfected it.
yes, the milk shakes have a bit of alcohol in them but (as some have suggested) if you're getting drunk on them you seriously need to:
1. get out more often
2. not drink 6 milk shakes in one visit

the pop tarts are delish. can't go wrong with the grilled cheese.

agreatfind!. really comfortable interior, friendly attentive staff, good food. what more could you ask for? definately try the home-made pop tart!

yum!. reallygreatfood and breakfast served any time! i originally went here to pick up dessert that was in their front bar area. grabbed a pumpkin scone and oatmeal cookie which were both great. decided i'd go to dinner - split the beef brisket and the southwest burger. both really good - their o-rings aregreattoo. for dessert this time, i tried one of the adult milkshakes. i believe it was the carmel macchiato? that was reallygreattoo. the service was friendly and really catered to the needs at the table. however, by the end of the night, the waiter was a little aloof, probably because he was ready to close out or was distracted by his friends that had come to visit at the bar out front.

great!. this is such a cool place. the food is very good, and their pastries looked delicious. service was great, and the decor was very cool. they were playing "the wizard of oz" during our meal, which was a plus.greatfor breakfast, lunch or dinner. reasonable prices.
