excellent experience!!. this place is great! the food is homemade and the portions generous. the menu is not extensive, but there is plenty to choose from especially withbreakfastbeing served all day. on the downside, the dining room is noisy. it’s an open space with about 30 booths, so there is nothing to stop or deaden the sound. if you are looking for a quiet intimate experience, look elsewhere. i feel compelled to address the poptarts since it’s a signature item. they are more-so filled rich shortbread cookies than the traditional poptart. that’s not necessarily a bad thing considering it’s a delicious huge filled cookie...it’s not a poptart.

thebreakfastburrito, steak and eggs, cinnamon roll, and ted’s tart were all fantastic. i will absolutely comeback several times over.

this place is awesome! bestbreakfastever. do yourself a favor and call ahead for seating as the wait can be a bit long. definitely visit when in dc.

fun comfortable place to eat. servers welcome you the moment you enter and treat you as friends for your entire stay.

thebreakfastmenu is extensive and delicious. you have to have a tart if this is your first visit.

restaurant and bakery stop. the good thing about this place is you can just swing by and take some baked treats to go or sit down for a meal. i swung by and picked up the salted caramel and brown sugar pop tarts. was it tasty? yes. did it give me a glimpse into what a non-processedbreakfastclassic should be? yes. was it spectacular? not so much. i probably wouldn't get it again but would recommend others to give it a try. it's at least an interesting thing to try.

atmosphere is a modern tribute to a rustic 30's theme.
service was professional with a smile!!
food - nana's beer biscuits and gravy are worth every delicious calorie!!
coffee - they left a carafe of wonderful hot bold coffee on the table - yes the way it should be served.
drawbacks - tiny bit loud but so what!!

clever art deco and a fun take on classic american. grade: b+

ted's bulletin grabbed our attention from the outside. the menu in the window in this mosaic district eatery was filled with traditional american favorites presented with a playful twist, such as homemade pop tarts, a menu full of milkshakes, and a sunday pasta special with "meatballs as big as your head".
booths are spacious and offer a bit of privacy, although there is a bit of a din that can make it a bit hard to hear. art deco lamps and pseudo-antique tvs on the wall - complete with foil-wrapped bunny ear antennas - add to the appealing style of the interior.
everything looks potentially good, from the anytimebreakfastchoices to sandwiches, salads, and entrees. nightly specials include pot pie (monday), tv dinner (thursday), prime rib (friday-saturday), and family style pasta on sunday. the salad dressing choices include the old school classic, a creamy garlic and herb green goddess.
the pasta special was a huge bowl with huge, moist meatballs that include italian sausage, overcooked spaghetti and a good red sauce, and thick pieces of garlic toast.
most pleasantly surprisingly was the reasonable, non-dc prices. we loved ted's and can't wait to try them for breakfast.

the second outpost of ted’s bulletin is opening on monday, august 19th on 14th street nw. it’s a great addition to the neighborhood as it will be one of the few places servingbreakfastduring the week, in addition to lunch, dinner, and late-night drinks. the team opened the doors to the media last tonight to check out the new space, and to sample some of the delicious treats. blueberry cheesecake pop-tarts… are you drooling yet? additionally, the new ted’s will have a bakery that will feature donuts, cookies, and other pastries that can be taken to-go. a perfect place to pick up an impressive dessert for your dinner party without having to be stuck in the kitchen baking all day. in addition, the new restaurant is quite spacious with a huge bar area that plays to the old-school malt shop theme, and has comfortable booths for larger parties. ted’s bulletin is located at 1818 14th street nw. follow them on twitter: @ tedsbulletin .

one of the newest restaurants to open up along barracks row, ted's bulletin is an american diner style joint owned by those of the nearby matchbox and serves classics such as burgers, fish and chips, milkshakes, and pies as well asbreakfaststaples all day.

homemade pop-tarts. this place does a deliciousbreakfastand the concept is really creative. definitely try the homemade pop-tarts.

yum!. really great food andbreakfastserved any time! i originally went here to pick up dessert that was in their front bar area. grabbed a pumpkin scone and oatmeal cookie which were both great. decided i'd go to dinner - split the beef brisket and the southwest burger. both really good - their o-rings are great too. for dessert this time, i tried one of the adult milkshakes. i believe it was the carmel macchiato? that was really great too. the service was friendly and really catered to the needs at the table. however, by the end of the night, the waiter was a little aloof, probably because he was ready to close out or was distracted by his friends that had come to visit at the bar out front.
