fantastic. this place is the best! such creative flavors, so rich and creamy. employees are typically friendly. ilovethe blueberry cobbler ice cream, and the salted caramel toffee, and the guiness, and the oatmeal cookie, and the....oh gosh it's all so good. just go! and eat! and be merry!

terrific. this is one of the last bastions of real ice cream - forget maggie moos, this is the real deal! where else can you get guiness ice cream?loveit. i wish the staff was a bit more professional and nice. they're boardering on rude....thank god you only deal with them for 2 minutes.

great ice cream-great business!. i'm not a huge fan of ice cream, but i was turned onto ted & wally's first because of the quality of the business. i had heard of the shop from people i work with and have had the great pleasure of occasionally speaking with the owners (one of them is a frequent supporter of my shop). ilovesupporting local businesses that are hard working and have an honest business ethic so i decided to try them out. now, i'm hooked! i go as often as i can, have told people in other states about them, drag my friends (although its not hard to twist their arms to go!) and highly recommend them. the environment is relaxing and family oriented. it attracts every crowd possible from the elderly to highschoolers looking for a harmless pasttime to families with children. their popularity shows when you see a line out the door on a late monday night while maggiemoos sits empty across the street, and trust me the wait is well worth it! i said i wasn't a huge ice cream fan, but the hometown welcoming feel of the shop isn't the only reason i patronize them...the ice cream is fantastic!!! all homemade, any flavor you could ever imagine and always fresh! you can even custom order something if you don't see it and if they have never seen it-they will at least give it a shot! their ice cream tastes just as fresh and real as its ingredients and i have never been disappointed or even hesitant to try a new flavor. coldstone? maggiemoos? i'll wait in line during a blizzard for a single scoop from ted & wallys before thinking about the other shops!!

i'm addicted!. i remember, growing up, my dad would bring out the old hand-cranked ice cream maker and make us kids take turns turning the handle until the ice cream was done. it was hard work and seemed like it took forever, but it was so worth it! nothing store bought ever measured up. it never quite had that same flavor. i don't know what makes that flavor i'm talking about, but it makes the ice cream really good! ted & wally's has that flavor in their ice cream and it has to be because they make it the old-fashioned way, using the rock salt and real cream. they even have the machines out front where you can see them. luckily for their employees, they are not the hand cranked kind. i go there whenever i can, cuz iloveme some ice cream! i'm always amazed by the array of creative flavors, it's hard to decide. there is a line out the door sometimes, but the anticipation is all part of the fun, giving you time to make up your mind. it's hard for me to get down there as often as i would like, but i've noticed that pints are being made available at different stores around town, too. you don't get the unique atmosphere that way, but it's still the same great ice cream. way to go!

the cherry on top of my old market evening. my husband and daughter and i like to stroll down to ted n wally's after having dinner in the old market. i've always found their place to be clean and neat with competent, service-oriented employees. the atmosphere alone is worth it and i wouldn't ever set foot in maggie moo's. there are maggie moo's places all over the country, but there is only one ted n wally's and only one place with the inventive flavors they have. iloveknowing that the ice cream i'm getting is fresh, made on-premises, and is unique. :) i've always had great experiences there andlovethat place. :)

yummy yum yum!. iloveted n wally's. this place is a credit to our city. first of all, their ice cream is flippin' delicious, and dare i say, famous! ted n wally's is an omaha original! they have so many flavors and they're so creative. i didn't know so many things and concepts could be made into ice cream! the atmosphere is super cool too, with occasional live music and local art on the walls. :) me and my familylovegoing to ted n wally's!

i scream.... ...at both the prices and the ice cream. yes, this place has the best ice cream in omaha by far (i wouldloveto eat a whole tub of their butter pecan in one sitting) but the prices make this a special occasion only treat for me.

definitely the best ice cream in omaha!.lovethis place.lovethe ever-changing board of different freshly-made flavor choices. am always particularly happy when amaretto-anything is available as a flavor, but many are really, really good, and many are flavors i haven't seen anywhere else.

their strawberry and ice cream sodas are also super delicious, as well as their shakes/malts.

love the location in the converted old garage as well, and the fact that they're open late!

so much better than coldstone/maggiemoo/insert chain-with-mass-produced-ice-cream-and-no-personality of your choice.

omaha tradition. when walking around the old market on a summer night you have to partake in an omaha tradition; go get ice cream at ted and wally's. this place has been around for a while and for good reason. ilovetheir key lime pie flavor! yum! their ice cream is a great treat!
