not so special. okay...the building is pretty cool and being set in the old market is awesome but the few times my wife and i have stopped in the service was terrible and the ice cream it's self while having variedflavorsis nothing out of the ordinary...it's ice cream..i have made tastier with my old hand crank ice cream maker...ben & jerry's is still better than ted & wally's.

this place is too cute!!! it’s a step back in time here with the old olive cream machines on display and rustic seating. they had greatflavorsand were happy to share samples. after tasting several flavors, i went to for the vegan mint chip (i’m not vegan, it just tasted really good)! the sign says they locally source as many ingredients as possible which makes me feel like a responsible consumer. i only wish it wasn’t $5 a scoop.

good ice cream, usually a line out the door of its even a little hot. have some interestingflavorsthat vary. kids and i have enjoyed most of them.

small, fun place, uniqueflavors(lime-butternut squash, baklava etc), and a line out the door on a hot summer sunday. good customer service and charm.

different homemadeflavorseveryday! yum! red velvet cake and blueberry are my two favorite flavors... but sometimes it is disappointing when your fave flavor wasn't made that day, more reason to step out your comfy zone

yum. i like ted & wally's. the ice cream is good, but it is a good idea to get a sample before you commit to anything. someflavorsare really awesome and some, not so much. just try it before you buy it! the coffee is good as well. as others have mentioned, the seating is extremely sparse and it is old market pricey. but, you do get quite a bit of ice cream packed into your waffle cone. i've not had any problems with the staff being rude but like many other places, it is a good idea to go when it is less busy.

meh.. can we please take ted & wally's off of the pedestal that omahans have put it on?! it's okay. just okay. just because they make the ice cream themselves and it is located in the old market does not automatically make it great.

flavors are imaginative, but then, they have to be when you're paying for two scoops what an entire half gallon of premium ice cream would cost you at the grocery store.

parking is awful.

lines can be long and employees bark at customers when the lines are long. it seems their solution to long lines is to treat their customers like idiots and publicly berate them. if they don't have the patience for a endless line of distracted customers, then they should probably find another line of work.

seating is scant.

mostly it's just average. someflavorsare good, some are okay, and some are bad. is it worth the old market parking and crowds and the elevated cost? i think not.

i liked it but i someflavorsare a big miss. they experiment a lot, just ask for a taste before you commit.

simple & delicious everytime. i am very finicky when it comes to ice-cream. i am also very simple. i always order the same thing: double-espresso served with one scoop of vanilla ice-cream (in the same serving dish). i believe this has a special name but i don’t remember what it is called. it is a common combination in central-europe where i learned about it.

this fusion offlavorsis amazing at their place. their vanilla has real vanilla pieces in their ice-cream. their espresso machine was very good at delivering a terrific, strong, full-flavored double shot. mmmm. this combination is vital on a friday afternoon to help me get re-engergized. it always help.

i highly recommend this place. my co-workers and i always stop by during our lunch break after enjoying a meal at “blue” which is just a block away. a true treasure in downtown omaha.

tasty ice cream!. we were in omaha for a family reunion and came across this fun ice cream shop with really good ice cream. i would like to go back and try the interesting flavors. they have specialtyflavorsplus toppings too. my daughter enjoyed the rice crispy treat ice cream and the schmitty's was good too (malted chocolate with coconut). the place was packed on a thursday night.

the cherry on top of my old market evening. my husband and daughter and i like to stroll down to ted n wally's after having dinner in the old market. i've always found their place to be clean and neat with competent, service-oriented employees. the atmosphere alone is worth it and i wouldn't ever set foot in maggie moo's. there are maggie moo's places all over the country, but there is only one ted n wally's and only one place with the inventiveflavorsthey have. i love knowing that the ice cream i'm getting is fresh, made on-premises, and is unique. :) i've always had great experiences there and love that place. :)

yummy yum yum!. i love ted n wally's. this place is a credit to our city. first of all, their ice cream is flippin' delicious, and dare i say, famous! ted n wally's is an omaha original! they have so manyflavorsand they're so creative. i didn't know so many things and concepts could be made into ice cream! the atmosphere is super cool too, with occasional live music and local art on the walls. :) me and my family love going to ted n wally's!

this is truly the best ice cream in omaha. they make their ice cream fresh daily, with differentflavorseveryday! forget cold stone and maggie moos. you want ted and wallys.

definitely the best ice cream in omaha!. love this place. love the ever-changing board of different freshly-made flavor choices. am always particularly happy when amaretto-anything is available as a flavor, but many are really, really good, and many areflavorsi haven't seen anywhere else.

their strawberry and ice cream sodas are also super delicious, as well as their shakes/malts.

love the location in the converted old garage as well, and the fact that they're open late!

so much better than coldstone/maggiemoo/insert chain-with-mass-produced-ice-cream-and-no-personality of your choice.

excellent place to stop in with the kids, or your date, while walking around the old market!
