suwu is a hipster restaurant that will satisfy the taste of that generation.the inside is very cool! great re-purposed wood on the walls and metal light fixtures with funky light bulbs. a very nice piece of black and white graffiti covers the bottom of the bar and colored tattoos cover the employees.

small menu but very creative dishes, most of them containing a mix of ingredients i wouldn't even dream of putting together. ordered 4 dishes from the summer menu to share with a friend and we loved all of them: grilled cheese mac & cheese, ramen chicken tenders, fattouch salad, and salmon gravlax. drinks were delish as well!

nice. i went on a tuesday night, and it was very low key and cool. we sat at the bar, chatted with the bartender, and watched a game. i went there again on friday of the same week and.. woah. total change of atmosphere. i loved how i could go there for dinner.. eat until i hate myself (ask for the grilled cheese mac n cheese or the beat salad.. i had both!).. and then party! you're surrounded by cool people, cool decor, cool music. and then all of a sudden it's midnight and the place is full of people (very mixed crowd) enjoying themselves. all the staff seemed to be very hardworking, but still having fun! it was appreciated! once i have fully recovered, i will be back!

brunch. get the fried chicken + french toast. hands down the best item on the brunch menu.

the menu is specially crafter with the staff’s favourite summer meals, and include daily specials of $6 soups and $13 salads and sandwiches . happy hour drinks will also be available for all you day drinkers (we’re guilty too!). suwu – 3581 st laurent the post suwu now open for lunch! appeared first on the main .

fantastic! if the incredible vibe doesn't peek your interest the food and their prices will. whatever your into, a late night drink with friends, a quality dinner, and even brunch, suwu will definitely exceed your expectations.

food is great. rest not so much.. first of all the first impression was bad. the hostess didn't speak a word of french which deeply offended our very bilingual party. the food was amazing, so that's good. so were the drinks. the service was just ok, we only got appropriate silverware after having to ask twice and we never had any water refills. music was good but waaaayyyy too loud. last negative point is the table layout, our chairs were literally back to back with those of the table behind us which led to a lot of friction every time someone moved. all in all food is what's more important in a restaurant so this is a positive review, but there's definitely room for improvement.

best food on the main. the food is unreal and the prices are even better! however, i must warn those who suffer from indecisiveness when presented with a menu, there is a bunch of mouth watering dishes for under 10 bucks and you will be pulling your hair out trying to decide.

burnt brunch. sad to say that our sunday morning trip to suwu was a disappointment.

all of our potato patties were burnt (the bottom hard and blackened) and our eggs in a basket (the grand slam was on the menu but no longer offered) were missing the major toppings: mushrooms and bacon. when we asked for our missing ingredients, we were given sauteed onions (already in the basket) and very lightly cooked bacon strips to add to the very soggy bread "chunks" mush.

like many others before us, we also noticed a lack in service by our waitress, but not the water boy: our glasses and cups were always filled. i had to get up to finally get the salt and pepper. this place might be better suited for the snack crowd looking for an easy mac and cheese option.

suwu! wouhou! finally a good spot to go after work not far from downtown with a different crowd than what we're use too on the main. love the decor and their drinks are delicious & different. food is a bit fattening but again it's different. i really like this spot!

the service was horrible (30 mins + for drinks) and food mediocre. too bad... seeing as the decor is cool and the location is prime. will never go back.

the tuna tartar arrived and as i took my first bite, i kind of melted. i had never had such a deliciously balanced tartar. the flavours on the plate were absolutely perfect and complimented the delicate flavour of the tuna beautifully. my friend and i both agreed that this tartar was definitely the best we both had ever eaten - seriously!
