suwu

suwu is a hipster restaurant that will satisfy the taste of that generation.the inside is very cool! great re-purposed wood on the walls and metal light fixtures with funky light bulbs. a very nice piece of black and white graffiti covers the bottom of the bar and colored tattoos cover the employees.

i've been to suwu dozens of times but just tried their brunch today. the atmosphere is awesome as always and the staff is very friendly. some brunch menu options include smoothie bowls, avocado toast with eggs, french toast with butterscotch, classic eggs and bacon etc. i had the chicken and waffles which was really yummy. the chicken was a bit salty but with the sweetness of the waffle and maple syrup it had agreatbalance of flavours. i would recommend suwu for everything from brunch to dinner to partying.

it can go either way. i've had good and bad experience at suwu. the food is quite unique, however, if you are hungry this isn't the place for you. the portions are extremely small, but at the same time very tasty. you have to order a lot of food and each dish is around 12-20$ so it adds up quickly especially if your a big group or having a few drinks. the atmosphere is really trendy, andgreatbefore hitting up st laurent, but if your hungry this wont be good for you. they also change their menu quite often which sucks, since if you like something beforehand and go back another time it might not be on it

service was a little disappointing but it was a busy night, the atmosphere wasgreatand i really enjoyed what i got. had the salmon tartare, the triad caesar and a cocktail called the dirty south, all worth a try.

great food,greatmusic,greatcrowd. amazing food and drinks in evenings. mac and cheese grilled cheese, just saying it sounds too good to be true.
amazing brunches also, quite cheap for what you get. and there are mimosas.

great music, although sometimes a bit too loud to hear you friends.greatdeco. the only down side is the service: the hostesses and some of the waitresses can be somewhat...bitchy.

other than that, amazing place to hang out during 5 à 7.

yummy. for montreal’s poutine week they featured an amazing poutine “pootie tang”: rosemary fries, deep-fried cheese curds, bacon, maple & sortilège which was to die for. as were their ribs but most importantly their mac-n-cheese grilled cheese. drinks not that phenomenal but the food was great. they also had deep fried pumpkin pie that i didn’t have time to try because they were kicking us out for the next group. the service wasn'tgreatat all.

by far my favourite place to eat when i visit montreal! the new menu is absolutely fantastic. the charcuterie platter is delicious and perfect for sharing. the deer tar tar is outstanding and the weekly specials are always tasty. good service andgreatmusic make for an awesome vibe... an added bonus... the owner zach, who's often there, is a mega babe. definitely a must visit spot.

suwu? more like wompwomp. my review will be based on these three criteria:

food: over priced for appetizer sized "meals"

drinks: tasty, but all filler, no killer, killer being alcohol

service: started offgreatbut slowly our table got neglected, dishes were forgotten, means of paying took too long.

over all, very chic settings would much rather have spent $30 at triple crown and had a hearty meal.

well i don't really know where to start cause there are so many things to say!
when i came to montreal suwu became my second home! this place is amazing once you're in you never ever want to leave! starting of with the interior they created an amazing warm comfortable atmosphere and the well chosen hip hop music just suits this place perfectly ! definitelygreatvibe! the menu has a little bit of everything and for the prices the portions aregreatthe tartars are amazing! definitely a must try ! i really love that most of the food is homemade and i always have the feeling every single meal is created with love!:) the drinks especially the cocktails are great! my favourite is the big booty ho! it's really sweet but also if you want something strong the old fashioned is probably the right thing to drink! now to the service! i must say i live every single one of the bartenders! all of them aregreatat what their are doing and they definitely know what they are doing! they nearly always have specials in the menu which mostly are creations of the bartenders! :) i love it! the waiters are just as good! so friendly and if you want extra sauce extra napkins extra anything they will get it for you :) the weekends get very busy but i just love how familiar everything is everyone's having agreattime

this place is awesome!greatcrowd, best music, the food is delicious and créative and their home coctails are my favorite!! and the prices are actually reasonably good ! comming here again for sure!

ughh amazing.. brunch: best food ever, it would be agreatidea for bachelor parties because on top of the food menu being amazing there aregreatdaytime cocktails for them to keep their drink on.greatprices, fun service. awesome. i feel like not enough people know about it and they should! oh yah and i can't get over how good the prices are!!!

amazing everything!. love this place! the menu is extremely well thought out, every ingredient fits perfectly. the home made cocktails are fun and refreshing with names like brooklyn's finest, wutang, thug passion, big booty ho. the decor is rustic and comfortable. the music is consistent in playing 90's hip hop and modern rap. it also works as agreatbar for late nights. the vibe is super relaxed and fun. the service is also great, friendly and hospitable. highly recommended.

we went out last weekend for drinks at suwu. loved the atmosphere, music andgreatservice. cool crowd. we liked it so much we were back there for breakfast the morning after. there's something for everyone on the menu & the menu is super cool itself, organized by salty or sweet. smoothies were yummy and fresh. pancakes weregreattoo. can't wait to go back
