10/10. love this place. it's cheap, fresh and fast service. staff are super friendly and helpful and the food is absolutely delicious. i've been numerous times and always had fantastic meals. will always go back!

great food, but. loved the food, dragon roll was great. very authentic, but i would have like the staff to be a bit more attentive. did not get much help in ordering, never offered a menu, no suggestions.

by the time we sat down and ordered, all the non-reserved seats had already been all taken, with a huge line of customers still waiting to order for takeaway or waiting for a seat to eat in. popularity speaks for itself.

i've ordered food from here from deliveroo a few times, the first time was nice, i even tried the waygu sushi, which was very good, i ordered from them a second time and got the unagidon, which was rather disappointing, the eel itself was just ok, not the mouth watering deliciousness i'd hoped for since i'm a huge fan of eel, and it was just served with very bland boiled rice, with no sauce, or anything. i got sushi from there again not too long after that, and honestly it was pretty bad, the same waygu sushi i'd ordered previously that was good, was now chewy and gristly and frankly quite disgusting, i have a feeling they'd substituted it with other beef to try and save money, i didn't think too much of the other unagi sushi that i tried that night either, and same with the salmon. honestly i don't know how they have such good reviews, i'd recommend mokoji sushi if you're in the same delivery area, much nicer.

fantastic japanese food, very fast & good service. my first time here, ordered tempura udon and salmon avocado temaki. the udon taste really good, udon is well coooked, soup is awesome! their service is very fast despite there is many people. their price is also very reasonable. definitely worth dining and will come again!

consistently impressive!. the food at sushi kotobuki at east brisbane is always good! everything is freshly made to order by friendly staff and the prices are exceedingly good value. highly recommended!

yum yum yum!! good quality food and friendly staff & service! a little bit slow to deliver food, but that's because the spot is so busy!! so worth the wait!! it's got a great atmosphere for dinner. highly recommend!

this place is truly heavenly. this place is consistently good and i’ve been a million times. it’s super reasonably priced and the sushi is the best.

the best sushi i've ever had anywhere.... as the title of my review suggests, sushi kotobuki is the best sushi restaurant i've ever had the pleasure of dining at. i would even go as far as saying it's my favourite restaurant in brisbane overall.

for what you get, the prices are great. i usually spend around $50 for 2 people, and leave with the beginnings of a food coma.

the atmosphere is completely unpretentious - it's nestled in a little set of takeaway food shops just near the shaftson hotel - but it's always busy (though usually not annoyingly so), and for good reason.

my recommendation to newcomers is to try each of the following dishes:

takoyaki
ruby roll
kotobuki roll

called to make booking in evening for same night. i have been told to walk in only. it ended up as a fairly busy restaurant with limited table. friendly staff is very helpful to secure a table for us. good value.

it's all about taste. the taste of the food here is just delicious. we never get tired of crossing the city to have a kotobuki noodle or a lion king sushi... just writing these words make me wonder if we're addicted to it! seriously, best japanase food we ever had in brisbane + excellent price. it's a busy and crowded place, so service might let down a bit sometimes, but nothing to compromise the experience.

best sushi in the area. great portion sizes and fusion options. recommend everything on the menu! bento boxes are also spot on. always delicious and fresh, never had a problem. sometimes if it's busy the tables take a while to clean though.

this place is fantastic we order from here often and many other people from the company i work for love this place as well.
spider rolls fresh, fantastic and taste amazing 9/10 well worth the price.

...shared the $45 platter which consisted of the following 2 plates: “sides” of fried chicken, avocado, tuna salad and salmon sushi. mains of california, tuna salad, teriyaki chicken, fried prawn, tuna, fried chicken, dragon roll and tempura roll.
