sushi kotobuki

fantastic japanese food, very fast & good service. my first time here, ordered tempura udon and salmon avocado temaki. the udon taste really good, udon is well coooked, soup is awesome! theirserviceis very fast despite there is many people. their price is also very reasonable. definitely worth dining and will come again!

it's all about taste. the taste of the food here is just delicious. we never get tired of crossing the city to have a kotobuki noodle or a lion king sushi... just writing these words make me wonder if we're addicted to it! seriously, best japanase food we ever had in brisbane + excellent price. it's a busy and crowded place, soservicemight let down a bit sometimes, but nothing to compromise the experience.

phuong tran and i visit kotobuki on a friend’s recommendation. we seat ourselves then place our lunch order at the counter. there is no tableserviceso we help ourselves to water, extra plates and serviettes.

*mix sashimi ($13.50) is 4 pieces each of salmon and tuna. the salmon is fresh while the tuna is quite average. rating: 3

*spider roll ($14) has soft shell crab, crab extender (surimi), cucumber and tobiko. freshly made with a generous serving, this tasty roll is our favourite dish. rating: 4

*salmon lion king ($12) has salmon, avocado and cucumber, topped with nicely seared aburi salmon. rating: 3.5

*prawn tempura ($10) is served with 3 prawns and 3 vegetables. the tempura prawns are quite tasteless but the tempura vegetables are good. rating: 3

prices here are surprisingly cheap which makes kotobuki popular with the regulars. two dishes are good while our other two dishes are quite average. our overall rating for this meal is 3.5!

this place is so fabulous. it’s hidden away in a complex. it is cheap as chips and theserviceis very quick. the restaurant has basic presentation - steel chairs and whatnot. the sushi is phenomenal and they put a lot of effort in to the presentation of the food. good for a quick and easy sit down meal.

really really good sushi! i love this place. its not the fanciest eat in resturant... for me its all about take away and going to kangaroo point to eat it on the grass.serviceis great and the staff are lovely. i will be back many times.

the best sushi in brisbane! if you're looking for a fresh sushi and quick service, there is the place! i'm a regular customer and my favorite is the cream cheese salmon, this one is so yumyy! i've never had any issues in this place, the price is really good, quick tableserviceand great food. will be there soon!

first time coming here for dinner and i loved it!

theservicewas excellent - the staff were just lovely and very helpful. as for the food it was fast, fresh and very flavoursome. some notable mentions were the crunch chicken and salmon sashimi. my all time favourite dish would have to be the dragon role.

the restaurant itself is not overly fancy, so if you're after a fine dining experience this is not the place for you. however, the establishment is clean, theserviceis great and the is food delicious. considering how affordable all the dishes, the sushi kotobuki is a great find!

pretty average sushi andservicewas pretty bad when we went. don't quite understand what was the hype about them. prices were cheap to average and there was quite a bit of variety. won't be going back anytime soon.

after seeing it's incredible rating here in zomato, i went here expecting great things. however the experience was a little disappointing.

the atmosphere is quite plain and the food wasn't too bad but wasn't great either. i've been to other sushi places in brisbane that has higher food quality with lower prices.

however, not everything was a miss. the salmon sashimi was fresh,servicewas fast, staff were friendly, and the establishment was clean.

overall a pretty average sushi restaurant

i have been going to this place almost weekly. tonight they forgot my meal for the fourth time in a row while my girlfriend finished her's. the food is nice but i guess only if you actually get it. when i asked for a refund, the waitress tried to convince me to get takeaway instead. this is actually terribleserviceand i won't be back.

best sushi in brisbane and you can tell by the very big line you find. very fast service, their food is always consistent and oh so fresh! i love how they can always accommodate my takeaway orders as i always get the lion king but get them to put prawns and cream cheese instead of the usual crab stick and cucumber. theirserviceis so friendly and the food is even better. there should be more places like this.

i really like this place. theserviceis always quick and friendly, and the prices quite cheap. i got the tempura udon noodle soup one time which i found to be quite bland and underwhelming but the sushi is always really good. i would recommend the crunch chicken roll. definitely one of my top picks for sushi in brisbane.

by far the best sushi in brisbane! i frequent this cute little sushi cafe several times a week and it always delivers, the black rice sushi is absolutely incredible! the sushi is made fresh to order, they personalize theserviceby noting identifying characteristics about you so they can deliver your meal to you without table numbers and the staff are very sweet. their sister store in the city is great too.
