this is a good option for japanese food in the inner city. the sushi and sashimi here is good, the staff are friendly, the portions are good and very reasonably priced.

best sushi in brisbane! i don't go anywhere else for sushi now. the lion king roll is my favourite, and the salmon bento box is delicious. really good value.

really good sushi , have tried several places around the area but this one stands out . the only recommendation is we would have preferred to order on table otherwise the food is great .

best sushi and food ! so fresh. favourite would have to be the tamaki roll smoked salmon cream cheese and cucumber.. yum. great service also

the best sushi in brisbane! if you're looking for a fresh sushi and quick service, there is the place! i'm a regular customer and my favorite is the cream cheese salmon, this one is so yumyy! i've never had any issues in this place, the price is really good, quick table service and great food. will be there soon!

nothing fancy, just a friendly little neighbourhood joint serving standard run-of-the-mill japanese. had a few sushi rolls which weren't too bad though wouldn't order the unagi nigiri again as i can get better elsewhere.

generous servings, food arrived in less than 5 mins, cheap price and fresh sushi! what more could you ask for :) we ordered the spider roll, dragon roll, and chicken curry rice.

first time coming here for dinner and i loved it!

the service was excellent - the staff were just lovely and very helpful. as for the food it was fast, fresh and very flavoursome. some notable mentions were the crunch chicken and salmon sashimi. my all time favourite dish would have to be the dragon role.

the restaurant itself is not overly fancy, so if you're after a fine dining experience this is not the place for you. however, the establishment is clean, the service is great and the is food delicious. considering how affordable all the dishes, the sushi kotobuki is a great find!

pretty average sushi and service was pretty bad when we went. don't quite understand what was the hype about them. prices were cheap to average and there was quite a bit of variety. won't be going back anytime soon.

food is amazing, business concept is not. been there many times but yesterday ordered 4 different plates and some sparkling water, they gave me 2 plastic glasses pretty scratched and dirty, so i ask for glass glasses, they only have the wine ones, and he ask me 2 dollars for corkage 😂. i said "i'm not drinking alcohol, just your water" the owner i assume, a chinese woman answered "you need pay for glasses" typical chinese business mentality.

i've been a customer of kotobuki for many, many years. there's a few reasons this restaurant deserves 5 stars. firstly, something underrated with restaurants - consistency. i've been getting some of the same dishes for over 6 years (cream cheese chicken & lion king) and they are always prepared to a similar standard with high quality, fresh ingredients.

the staff are always polite and attentive. the sushi and other meals are exceptional. the ingredients are always fresh. the only let down can be that the restaurant is so popular it gets very busy! but that's not koto's fault, they're just too damn good.

the sashimi and yakiniku chicken was pretty good. unfortunately, i can't say the same for the aburi sushi. the rice disintegrated before leaving the plate. while the aburi salmon and was pretty delicious, it was charred enough to my liking and the wagyu beef was average. that being said, i would come back for the sashimi.if it's convenient.

very very affordable japanese cuisine in the city. not authentic but food was ok and menu isn't extensive- good for very indecisive people. don't mind going back

the ruby roll was slightly weird with the peri peri sauce but the lion king roll was fantastic! the aburi salmon was done really well! would probably eat again if i'm in the area.

not sure what all the hype is about.

after seeing it's incredible rating here in zomato, i went here expecting great things. however the experience was a little disappointing.

the atmosphere is quite plain and the food wasn't too bad but wasn't great either. i've been to other sushi places in brisbane that has higher food quality with lower prices.

however, not everything was a miss. the salmon sashimi was fresh, service was fast, staff were friendly, and the establishment was clean.

overall a pretty average sushi restaurant
