summer roll family restaurant

summer roll is delicious! very fresh, big portions, amazing service, great flavours, and they treat you like family and are so nice, i highly recommend it and will be back soon!!

best vietnamese in saskatoon. i have tried just about every so called "best place in town" vietnamese restaurants in saskatoon and this one, by far, is the best. there are a few others that i still like a lot but i always come back here.

however, this praise is really limited to there standard vietnamese offerings. i've tried the pad thai and it wasn't so great and other people i've been with haven't been too impressed with the other menu offerings (personally i haven't ventured far from the vermicelli, soup, or summer rolls).

this is so typical of asian restaurants in saskatoon though. they feel like they can't just specialize in one thing so they offer a (very) wide variety of asian dishes and usually fail at all of them. thankfully the summer roll still manages to keep the purely vietnamese dishes tasting really good.

bottom line: skip the chinese, korean, thai, etc, etc, etc and treat yourself to some summer rolls and a vermicelli bowl.

great. the food is always tasty and hot and fresh, we never wait long for our meal.
friendly staff always greeted with a smile, great service weather it's food to go or eating in we highly recommend you give it a try.

i had to change my vote. we decided to try this place one more time. we ordered dinner for 7 take out. even after picking up and driving for 20 minutes everything was excellent. i will definitely order from here again.

came for supper once. they ran out of canned iced tea. offered me made iced tea for additional charge. food was the same ol you can get any where. nothing out of the ordinary.

the best. it was only our second time here. everyone was impressed by food and service. we will be back.

excellent fresh food. first timers there...was greeted with smiles and prompt service...mama was just about feeding us...great place will definitely be back...

clean but not exciting. went to summer roll for supper. restaurant is clean and well-lit and the owner is a dear. the spring and summer rolls are delicious - dining partner declared the spring rolls better than norm's and mi hong, so watch out. had an assortment of noodle bowls and stir fry, as well as the tom yum wonton soup. noodle bowls were competent and the stirfry was done well - fresh vegetables. tom yum is a savoury-sweet soup here (it has pineapple in it) instead of the more traditional hot-and-sour. a plate of summer rolls and an avocado shake would go down well on a hot day.

however, we won't be adding it to our frequent list - the spice and flavour is dialed way down, to appeal to a more conservative palate. there are large bottles of untouched sriracha on the tables, if you need to zing it up a bit, i guess. it's quite popular in lawson, but it's not really our thing. if you like golden pagoda/mi hong/sawaddee bistro/rice bowl you're not going to be satisfied here. the spring rolls are really good, though, and it's miles better than anything else on primrose. eschew the food court and go here.

we order from here often. always good food.

lovely. stopped by on monday for a lunch with a friend. we both had a noodle bowl, he had pork and i had shrimp. we both found mine to be more flavorful but both were pretty good overall. it seemed like they use a lot fresher of ingredients than other places in saskatoon with similar menus. the cold rolls were, of course, lovely.

we will return for sure.

sooooooo good. i've eaten here a few times, usually get the super vermicelli bowl, awesome. today we tried the deep fried shrimp, ginger chicken, and special chowmein.... soooooo good, i will go back for more definitely

love love love!. our family loves the summer roll - spring rolls, pork cold rolls, dumplings and fried rice are a few of our favorites. the iced tea is unique and delicious! the staff are consistently friendly and the restaurant itself is always clean.

memories and moments ...love it.. jade and i had a late lunch today...we tried summer roll for the first time!
we enjoy going when it's quieter and when we entered we were greeted by a lovely lady who went out of her way to make us feel special....we told her we wanted vegetarian dishes and she was very helpful. we ordered the salad rolls ...again she helped us get the most out of the flavour ....fantastic ...best salad rolls in the city ..we love fresh basil and these rolls with fresh basil leaves and delicious peanut sauce .and a squirt of hot sauce ..sooo good !!! then we had tom yum soup ....our wonderful server had the time to serve us and talk a little ( we realize if it's busy not as much time can be spent,but we appreciated her world class service) she was kind enough to suggest vegetarian pad thai and vegetarian shanghai noodles for our next visit ....we will be trying them out !!!
sometimes people are going through some family illness ,which our family is and we just want to thank the wonderful server we had for being so friendly and kind and going the extra mile to make our eating experience fun ...she did not know it ,but it made our afternoon. thankyou !!! we recommend highly.

my mother and i love this place! we always enjoy coming back! the decor is lovely,modern. i recommend everyone tobring their friends and family! the.service is very good, really interactive! save the.best for last, the food, amazing!
