summer roll family restaurant

food is so fresh and good!! thesummerrolls are just wonderful ... and i love the spring rolls and vermicelli bowl. keep planning to be more adventurous but those two dishes are so good!!!

this place is really good. have been there numerous times and have tried several things and have never been disappointed. tonight our family went. i had tom yum soup with chicken and shrimp, one son had the thai chicken pineapple fried rice and the rest had pad thai. always excellent. had a hard time deciding. of course started out withsummerroll's. love that they have the thai basil and the peanut sauce. it's quick, they're friendly - the place is always packed which is always a good sign. looking forward to our next trip!

i recently visitedsummerroll restaurant this past week and i found out they are now serving a gluten free menu. which for me was a plus. a few of my other highlights about this restaurant was: friendly staff, clean environment, fresh food, and prices. i also was surprised how fast i received my meal that day. it came to me in about 15 minutes. i would highly recommend this place.

great gluten-free options!. yesterday i visitedsummerroll for the first time, and loved it! i've recently had to start a gluten-free diet, and going out to eat is has become rather tricky. the staff was extremely helpful in pointing out which items on the menu are gluten free. i enjoyed the vermicelli bowl with charbroiled pork loin and spring rolls. thesummerrolls are great too! the service was fabulous, and we were in/out for lunch with time to spare.

vegan-friendly restaurant. i've been tosummerroll twice, both times with excellent food and customer service. and i was definitely more difficult than the average customer.

we asked for suggestions of vegan dishes, and tried the salt and pepper tofu, singapore noodles (with vegan substitutions), and the sweet and sour pork, but with tofu instead of pork. service was prompt, and despite our odd requests, staff was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, even going out of their way to inform us that the spring rolls we planned to order contained egg, and steering us away from dishes that used oyster or fish sauce.

would recommend for groups with special dietary needs.

first time..had thesummerrolls, pad thai and beef fried rice. just terrific.. our new favorite place.

up until today i would've said they were our favorite "go to" restaurant. they gave us a time of pickup for 45- 1hr. we showed up an hr later to pick up our food and it wasn't ready, we waited an extra 30 min, no apologies and when we got home, the order was wrong. our steamed broccoli had 6 pieces in it when i had asked for the large size, our sweet and sour pork had 3 whole pieces of meat and the rest was vegetables and little bits of batter. i always get veggies added on my pad thai and there were none, and when i called to speak to them about all of this, they did not listen at all, completely argued that there were veggies even though i was starring straight at the dish. i didn't feel like arguing anymore so wished them a happy new year without me in it. new years resolution, to not eat atsummerroll anymore.

we had take-out, pick up in the restaurant is quick and easy.  beautiful restaurant.  thesummerrolls and peanut sauce were good.  the pan fried pork dumplings and dipping sauce are amazing.  the pad thai was excellent as well.

fast friendly service. good food. family loves this place. kids love theirsummerrolls with thai basil and peanut sauce. noodle bowls are really good too. could use more meat and peanuts.

my husband and i love thesummerrolls here!  we live out of town and everytime we have to come in for something we love stopping here for lunch.  i haven't tried too many other dishes because we are usually just stopping for lunch and the rolls are big enough that they serve as my meal but i am looking forward to ordering from here the next time we are looking for take-out!

great food, service is hit and miss. great food, especially love thesummerrolls with basil. i have had some really bad service there, so now i try to get my food to go. lately i have noticed some new servers working, who seem quite pleasant. i think their main issue previously was being understaffed, so that issue may be corrected. most of my bad service experiences have been with one particular server, so i still cringe when she answers the phone. i think she means well but does not have the right attitude to be working in the service industry. i would definitely eat there more often if i felt that my patronage was valued.

bad service but still worth it.. although there are some good servers at this restaurant the majority of the service is poor at best. buuuuut.... thesummerrolls and peanut sauce are so good it doesn't matter! i've never ordered anything else so i cant speak for the rest of the menu but the porksummerrolls are delicious and the peanut sauce is absolutely mind-blowing. if you cant handle the service at least order take-out because these rolls are a must have.

top spot. sincesummerroll opened, it has become one of our favorite places to eat, either for a night out or to pick up for a night in. the food is always spectacular, and the service is always prompt, and very personable. often, when we stay there to eat, our server will recommend different dishes that she thinks we will like, or alternative ways to order our meals, and her suggestions always turn out to be delicious. they know what they are doing atsummerroll. everyone who i have told to try it now also eats there all the time. it is addictive...in a good way : )

awful service. i have been tosummerroll a couple of times due to the fact that it is close to my residence. the three times i have went to pick up the food there has been a ridiculous wait time. they tell you on the phone how long it will be and when it should be picked up. today is the last time. they told me it would be ready by 5:50pm and i went in according to that time. at 6:10pm they asked me which order i was waiting for. i told them and they still had not even started making my food. i called in the order at 5:25pm. this is ridiculous. another person had been waiting for over an hour when they were supposed to pick up there food and there were still 3 people in front of me waiting. i told them not to bother making the food and i left. they have definitely lost a customer and i will share my experience. there food is not even that good where they can be lacking in there service. i thought it would be nice to have a restaurant close to my house but it is quicker to order anywhere else in the city and go pick it up. i could have been waiting there for another hour. off to nutana café from now on.

family favorite. we've been coming almost weekly tosummerroll for months now and are never disappointed. friendly fast service, quality ingredients (especially crisp greens n sprouts), great value. our requests for slight alterations to dishes always well accommodated. only improvement would be option of at least one beer in bottles, not cans.
