summer roll family restaurant

i recently visited summer rollrestaurantthis past week and i found out they are now serving a gluten free menu. which for me was a plus. a few of my other highlights about thisrestaurantwas: friendly staff, clean environment, fresh food, and prices. i also was surprised how fast i received my meal that day. it came to me in about 15 minutes. i would highly recommend this place.

we had take-out, pick up in therestaurantis quick and easy.  beautiful restaurant.  the summer rolls and peanut sauce were good.  the pan fried pork dumplings and dipping sauce are amazing.  the pad thai was excellent as well.

i liked the decor. service was friendly. food was good, but not mind blowing. my vietnamese coffee was good. we shared the spring rolls, which were tasty but not the best in the city. i had the singapore noodles, again, good but i prefer the singapore noodles at springrollrestaurantbetter. my partner had the 20 piece chicken balls; they were good.

i have never been in a saskatoon asianrestaurantso clean. the staff were friendly and knowledgable about the menu. the menu itself was small, but usually a smaller menu means that what's on it is done well, and that was definitely the case. my family and i ordered three different dishes, and two different starters. we enjoyed them all. the only negative thing i have to say is the pad thai was bland. it was nothing the table side of chili paste couldn't fix, but i don't like *having* to add flavor to a dish

amazing takeout experience!. went in during peak lunch hour rush, put my order for the shrimp vermicelli bowl for takeout in person and told me it would be about 5 minutes. quick, easy, and so so so delicious! have never been to thisrestaurantbefore and thought i'd try it because it was close to my house. would definitely come back!

fantastic food, wonderful hospitality....summer roll restaurant. thisrestauranthas the friendliest atmosphere, the food is so fresh. spring rolls with peanut sauce is a must try, i had not tried this item until recently, they are delicious, fresh, healthy and make you want more.
if you want to experience meal of thai and oriental food.....you must go to thisrestaurant!!

bad service but still worth it.. although there are some good servers at thisrestaurantthe majority of the service is poor at best. buuuuut.... the summer rolls and peanut sauce are so good it doesn't matter! i've never ordered anything else so i cant speak for the rest of the menu but the pork summer rolls are delicious and the peanut sauce is absolutely mind-blowing. if you cant handle the service at least order take-out because these rolls are a must have.

awful service. i have been to summer roll a couple of times due to the fact that it is close to my residence. the three times i have went to pick up the food there has been a ridiculous wait time. they tell you on the phone how long it will be and when it should be picked up. today is the last time. they told me it would be ready by 5:50pm and i went in according to that time. at 6:10pm they asked me which order i was waiting for. i told them and they still had not even started making my food. i called in the order at 5:25pm. this is ridiculous. another person had been waiting for over an hour when they were supposed to pick up there food and there were still 3 people in front of me waiting. i told them not to bother making the food and i left. they have definitely lost a customer and i will share my experience. there food is not even that good where they can be lacking in there service. i thought it would be nice to have arestaurantclose to my house but it is quicker to order anywhere else in the city and go pick it up. i could have been waiting there for another hour. off to nutana café from now on.

clean but not exciting. went to summer roll for supper.restaurantis clean and well-lit and the owner is a dear. the spring and summer rolls are delicious - dining partner declared the spring rolls better than norm's and mi hong, so watch out. had an assortment of noodle bowls and stir fry, as well as the tom yum wonton soup. noodle bowls were competent and the stirfry was done well - fresh vegetables. tom yum is a savoury-sweet soup here (it has pineapple in it) instead of the more traditional hot-and-sour. a plate of summer rolls and an avocado shake would go down well on a hot day.

however, we won't be adding it to our frequent list - the spice and flavour is dialed way down, to appeal to a more conservative palate. there are large bottles of untouched sriracha on the tables, if you need to zing it up a bit, i guess. it's quite popular in lawson, but it's not really our thing. if you like golden pagoda/mi hong/sawaddee bistro/rice bowl you're not going to be satisfied here. the spring rolls are really good, though, and it's miles better than anything else on primrose. eschew the food court and go here.

love love love!. our family loves the summer roll - spring rolls, pork cold rolls, dumplings and fried rice are a few of our favorites. the iced tea is unique and delicious! the staff are consistently friendly and therestaurantitself is always clean.

me and my colleagues decided to go there for lunch on a busy friday. this place was like a hidden gem. i'm actually not comfortable trying out new places as some times i end up ordering the wrong stuff but at this place the person who was taking my order actually consulted me on what to get. the owner was so sweet as she was on the floor assisting customers and employees. she actually taught us how to eat the spring roll properly, how to use the dips and where to place the basil leaves.
i would recommend thisrestaurantto everyone, families or single.
the food is healthy and clean. has a unique taste to it.
it's a 5/5 in my books.

great food and service!. my husband and i ate at the summer rollrestaurantfor lunch today. it was probably the best vietnamese food i have had in saskatoon, the staff was very friendly and service was great!! i would definately recommend to anyone looking for a great vietnamese noodle bowl. i can't wait to go back and try something else with the entire family.

got a bunch of food that the friendly staff recommended and was not disappointed. big portions for what you pay and everything was delicious.

the ginger beef and pad thai were both amazing as entrées, and the rolls were a fantastic start. also give the iced tea a try.

i will definitely bring my friends here- the food comes quickly and therestaurantis nice and open. great meal!

my new favourite vietnameserestaurantin saskatoon! the summer rolls are a must-have; i get them every time!! the prices are fair and the service is fast and great, such a warm, welcoming family! yum!

tom yum ...again. was here right after they opened and had tom yum soup. it was the best i've had...(not saying much, i hadn't tried it much before...i've tried it in several restauraunts since and always longed for summer rolls version) now several months later and several tom yum's later i tried their's again. i was disappointed in how much lemongrass flavour was in it, it wasn't bad but you couldn't taste the more subtle flavours i enjoyed in march. i spoke to the owner and she stated they had changed the receipe but could prepare it like they used to, if requested.....good news to me for next time!
this place still has great customer service.....they really care!!!! i've only been in three times this year and they know my name!!!! the decore is pleasing and the food is priced well.

decore was nice...soup was better. therestaurantis very relaxing, greens and slate. they still are putting the finishing touches on but the decore was light and inviting not over done or not done as in some other restaurants of this type.

i had the tom yom chicken rice noodle soup. i've only had this soup twice before at two different restaurants in saskatoon so i have no idea how 'authentic' summer roll's version is...but as i've said before 'i likes what i likes!'

sr's tom yom didn't have as much lemon grass flavour so i was able to taste the broth base which was very good. the meat seemed to have been pulled off the chicken rather than chopped up chunks. and i don't know very much about asian noodles but these seemed somehow creamyer???? the best way i can describe the overall taste was it felt really home made. ;)

there are a lot of intruiging items on the menu i'll be back to try.
