food is a little pricey but the green curry soup is the best in the city! definitely worth it for the occasional treat

if you’re looking for a solid thai restaurant that is centrally located and is also large enough to accommodate large parties, sukhothai is for you. the restaurant is clean, modern and well laid out. the best part about sukhothai is the menu is comprehensive and the food quality is good.

i have been coming to sukhothai for many years. my definite favorites is their massaman curry and their stuffed chicken wings. service is always prompt and the kitchen keeps up even when they are busy in the restaurant or inundated with skip orders.

the only issue i have about this place is the parking. you’re pretty much relying on street parking unless you show up at 11:30 for lunch!

tom yum gai tasted like fish sauce soup, sooooo salty. no where near hot and sour

pad thai was okay.

prices are pretty ridiculous, especially for that soup

loved the food! i was in thailand november 2017 and haven't had thai food since. flavours were spot on. i was so pleased to have chosen this restaurant for my husbands birthday. the service was prompt and friendly and the decor was simple and lovely. i loved the sauce that went with the keaw krob pouh ath and the dough was the most tender and perfectly crisp i have ever had. tom kha was wonderfully flavourful and i wish i had gotten the large. chu chee pra had fantastic tasting curry and the basa was very tender. the only dish i wasn't wowed by was the pad nut puk, the flavour was bland and not distinctively thai. i hope to go back soon!

we ordered take-out for dinner yesterday: 2 soups, 2 spring rolls, 1 order pad thai to share.  soup was too spicy for us to eat; spring rolls smallest we've ever seen, way overcooked, and included a container with a 1/4" of sauce - barely enough - tasted awful & threw out; pad thai had no vegies or bean sprouts, 3 shrimp (yes only 3), and was basically a container of rice noodles in peanut sauce.  on top of that, if this menu is accurate, they overcharged us!  they should have charged us $36.67 (tax in) and instead charged $44.86.  we ordered from the road, didn't see a menu - perhaps we're wrong about pricing...still.  very disappointing, terrible food, terrible price, and wound up cooking dinner anyway!  we'll never eat there again and feel resentful about wasting our hard earned dollars.    worst thai food we've ever had.

the food is delicious, however portions are small and the service is slow. i always get a curry dish, and usually leave still hungry, next time i would order double. staff is knowledgeable with gluten free dishes. i would go back.

ordered takeout based on the good reviews on this site - hot and sour soup with shrimp, chili basil chicken and rice, and shrimp pad thai. hot and sour soup was inedible, tasted horrible with way too much lemongrass and fish sauce. chili basil chicken was extremely greasy and hot. pad thai tasted as though ketchup was used in the sauce. most of it was thrown in the garbage. overall the worst thai food we’ve ever had. thai food trucks are way better and significantly less expensive.

i’ve always heard people rave about sukhothai, so when we went here for a family birthday, i had high expectations. in total, we ordered pun lettuce wraps with shrimp, chicken skewers, stuffed chicken wings, apple salad, pad thai, pad puck vegetarian, pad nut puck with beef, and panang curry with chicken and beef. the service was good and staff were able to advise and accommodate celiac members of the family with what they could eat or what they could alter to be gluten-free. the food was decent, although it wasn’t stand out for me, oftentimes resembling a chinese style stir fry. i found the meal sizes to be quite small or not very filling, so it didn’t go very far. the restaurant is spacious and had a good ambiance, with attentive staff who even brought out a birthday dessert.

we ordered green and red curry soups and a panang curry with rice on the side. i loved the soups and i was scared to order spicy so i asked for a medium which was not spicy at all for ny taste. i didn't care that muxh for the panang curry though. i would have been just happy with soup only.

best curry soup ever here. if they still have their lunch special then please get it. its amazing! they're crab wontons are also soooo good. highly recommend trying this place if you like thai food. it's a very big restaurant so there's never a problem trying to get a spot. the service here can be so so.

sukhothai has been a staple for me for the last 10 years and i can honestly say it hasn't changed at all (thankfully!).i'm a big fan of their beef pad siew, i get it at 7 spicy and it's just the right amount of heat (if you like things mild i'd recommend sticking around 5-6 at the most). this dish is always consistent and might be my favourite noodle dish they make.  i personally really like the pad thai and was the dish that originally got me hooked on this place way back when... i'm sorry to hear not everyone can say the same.their rice rolls and shrimp spring rolls are also always a good choice along with their keaw krob pouh ath (basically their take on a crab rangoon).  the mango salad and tom yum soup are also great choices for starters... get vermicelli noodles to add into your soup!as for their stirfry dishes - i'm a big fan of the cashew and the lemongrass pad puck - make sure you order rice on the side.i get that thai restaurants are a dime a dozen these days but i truly feel like sukhothai cares about their customers.  it's always my go to place for thai food and i've never been disappointed.  they do right by their customers and if they ever make a mistake, they are quick to fix it no questions asked.there's a reason this place is nearly always busy 6 days a week.

this is a go-to takeout restaurant for us. the panang curry (chicken) , pad thai (shrimp) , pad khing (beef) are favorites and compare well to anything else i've had around the world.
