usually we are very happy with sukhothai. but today we ordered lunch from them through skip the dishes and it was a complete letdown. it came to $30 and the portion sizes were much smaller than i remember. we only ordered chickencurryand tom yum soup, which is basically broth, so we definitely felt jipped. for $30 we could have made both dishes to last us well over a week. instead we got one meal out of it. super disappointed.

i've been here on several occasions and here are some tips:
service is a lot more attentive during the night; they have a lot more staff and it's much busier during those hours. during lunch hours or the day the service/food is a hit and miss, don't expect too much.
-their pad sew, greencurryand payaya salad is really good and i always find it be consistent
-their pad thai isn't the greatest
-everything ranges in price but mostly around 13-14 a plate
-photo enclosed came to $46 total

food is a little pricey but the greencurrysoup is the best in the city! definitely worth it for the occasional treat

if you’re looking for a solid thai restaurant that is centrally located and is also large enough to accommodate large parties, sukhothai is for you. the restaurant is clean, modern and well laid out. the best part about sukhothai is the menu is comprehensive and the food quality is good.

i have been coming to sukhothai for many years. my definite favorites is their massamancurryand their stuffed chicken wings. service is always prompt and the kitchen keeps up even when they are busy in the restaurant or inundated with skip orders.

the only issue i have about this place is the parking. you’re pretty much relying on street parking unless you show up at 11:30 for lunch!

loved the food! i was in thailand november 2017 and haven't had thai food since. flavours were spot on. i was so pleased to have chosen this restaurant for my husbands birthday. the service was prompt and friendly and the decor was simple and lovely. i loved the sauce that went with the keaw krob pouh ath and the dough was the most tender and perfectly crisp i have ever had. tom kha was wonderfully flavourful and i wish i had gotten the large. chu chee pra had fantastic tastingcurryand the basa was very tender. the only dish i wasn't wowed by was the pad nut puk, the flavour was bland and not distinctively thai. i hope to go back soon!

the food is delicious, however portions are small and the service is slow. i always get acurrydish, and usually leave still hungry, next time i would order double. staff is knowledgeable with gluten free dishes. i would go back.

i’ve always heard people rave about sukhothai, so when we went here for a family birthday, i had high expectations. in total, we ordered pun lettuce wraps with shrimp, chicken skewers, stuffed chicken wings, apple salad, pad thai, pad puck vegetarian, pad nut puck with beef, and panangcurrywith chicken and beef. the service was good and staff were able to advise and accommodate celiac members of the family with what they could eat or what they could alter to be gluten-free. the food was decent, although it wasn’t stand out for me, oftentimes resembling a chinese style stir fry. i found the meal sizes to be quite small or not very filling, so it didn’t go very far. the restaurant is spacious and had a good ambiance, with attentive staff who even brought out a birthday dessert.

we ordered green and redcurrysoups and a panangcurrywith rice on the side. i loved the soups and i was scared to order spicy so i asked for a medium which was not spicy at all for ny taste. i didn't care that muxh for the panangcurrythough. i would have been just happy with soup only.

bestcurrysoup ever here. if they still have their lunch special then please get it. its amazing! they're crab wontons are also soooo good. highly recommend trying this place if you like thai food. it's a very big restaurant so there's never a problem trying to get a spot. the service here can be so so.

this is a go-to takeout restaurant for us. the panangcurry(chicken) , pad thai (shrimp) , pad khing (beef) are favorites and compare well to anything else i've had around the world.

i love sukhothai. i normally order mee krob and pad kee wan(greencurrydish) . coconut rice is great. always ask for peanut sauce, best in the city forsure. i have tried magic thailand, thaibochi, vietainne and a few other places ..but i still find myself in love with sukhothai the most. i normally dont eat in,but have mine delivered from skip the dishes or mobile matridee. highly addicted to this place. my boyfriend almost hates that i order it at least 3 times a month for the past 5 years!!...but i crave it!

last night we stopped in for dinner. the place was bustling, we were lucky to get a table. i enjoyed vegetarian spring rolls, and redcurrysoup with chicken. it was delicious. i enjoy spice, so this soup was awesome. very fresh. in my experience, this restaurant is priced slightly higher than some others, but it makes up for it with the fun, busy atmosphere. our waitress was very attentive, and i like that they leave a bottle of chilled water at the table. i will definitely be back.

tomato and red spices are left out of the restaurant’s tom yum goong ($5.50) so the broth remains clear … rather deceiving … until you take a sip. instantly, the spicy, sour, salty and even mildly sweet flavours flood the mouth – how is such an innocent looking soup so powerful? even without the red spices the soup has a nice heat level and lemongrass essence. as a warning, it’s a tad salty so this goes best with rice.

green curries are one of my favourite thai dishes and sukhothai’s doesn’t disappoint. the gang keaw warn ($16.95) has great rich flavours and the sauce light enough to spoon liberally over rice. the mixture of crunchy vegetables (bell pepper, carrot, bamboo shoot and baby corn) kept it fresh and the drizzle of extra coconut milk on top an additional creaminess. i’d caution against ordering the beef as it was a tad chewy, i still enjoy this dish best with chicken, shrimp or simply in its vegetarian form.

if you can’t handle spicy curries, the gang khua sap pa rod ($18.95) is a safer alternative. coconut milk, tomatoes andcurryare combined with shrimp and chunks of pineapple. the sweetness from the fruit mellows everything, making the dish a mild approachable
