fantastic!!!. i have eaten here twice in the last two months and both times i have had positive experiences. the staff have been friendly and efficient, the food fantastic (love the $15 lunch menu monday to friday with choice of drink) and great presentation of food.

i'll be returning here for another meal :)

what a great dining experience, the staff are so happy and helpful! i have not had service like that in such a long time.. amazing food and atmosphere will definitely be back.

food was bland and very overpriced. i could not eat my main due to the suspicious off meat smell. waiter was over attentive at times yet forgot our drinks order. we were not offered dessert or coffee. expensive and disappointing.

asked for medium steak. came out well done. wankers

just ok, definitely overpriced. pizza was no good at all. pork was just ok....

good french toast, bad pancakes. this is one of the few restaurants around rockingham that offers french toast. it's so nice for a change instead of the usual bacon and eggs fry up. i will keep going there just for the french toast but would not recommend the so-called banana pancakes. for one, they are not banana pancakes, but plain pancakes with banana and two they were not cooked. my husband ordered them and when they came out, they weren't cooked properly - still doughy. he pointed this out to the waitress who apologised and took them back. when they came back out the second time, they were somewhat better, although still not properly cooked and the last one was still a bit raw. when we mentioned this on leaving the waitress went back to the chef to tell him and she came back to say that he said, that's the way they're supposed to be. unbelieveable. we will not be having any pancakes from this place if that's how they think they're supposed to be cooked.

not too bad, being in 'rocko'. average garlic bread, arancini balls were great, and the cheesy sauce that came with them! had the chicken mignon, big portion (maybe two chicken breasts?) wrapped in bacon on yummy sweet potato mash. the bearnaise on it tasted like curried egg, which was really disappointing because bearnaise is my favourite! the staff were very nice!

stop advertising black tiger prawns when you are using frozen vanemae prawns. prices are high enough without lying to us as well. thanks

that was sensational. i have eaten everywhere, from the top of australia to the bottom and everything in between.
tonight i must say it was one of the best dining experiences i have ever had. from the moment we walked in the door the wonderful experience started. the service and food,(served by the owner) was just top class and the steak just melted in your mouth.....mmmmm

great meal and great service. visited the steele tree 06/08/12 . shared a huge seafood platter for 2 which was of great quality and along with great variation and taste made this a meal to remember for all the right reasons.service was prompt and of a genuinely friendly nature which also enhanced the dining experience. will definitely be back to experience more of this dining delight.

worst meal ever. my husband and i had not booked to go to this restaurant, but they fitted us in. it was quite busy. my husband ordered soup of the day to start which both of us could not recognize what flavour of soup it was meant to be. cream of something we shall say with a few shrivelled up burnt onion strands on top and two pieces of shaved parmesan also. we lived in hope that our mains would be better but unfortunately not. my husband ordered reef on reef which was a sloppy mess on a plate with a few frozen prawns thrown in for good measure. i ordered the pork cutlet and no amount of sawing with any knife would of cut through it. we both left the majority of our meals, and we had to laugh when the waitress asked us did we enjoy our meals. i thought that the evidence on the plate would have given her an inkclin but obviously not. i’d give this place a miss people.

fantastic breakfast. eggs benedict was gorgeous. great friendly service.

food was very nice. service was terrible. was apparently served by the owner who forgot our drinks which we didn't get till our entrees were cleared after asking where they were. didnt get any water. she forgot one of our meals. and they forgot our coffee. the worst part of it all is they didn't seem to care and they were not busy just extremely disorganized and uninterested in their guests.

have been to steel tree at the foreshore twice now and both times i have been disappointed. the first time i went with a friend and it was a quiet night with only 2 other groups there. i ordered the duck breast with risotto, when i ordered the server very rudely pointed out that it was served pink to which i replied that i wanted it served that way. when i got it, it was a shriveled, overcooked under seasoned tough piece of duck, the risotto was nicely cooked but it was served with 2 roasted cherry tomatoes and some greasy cold, deep fried sweet potatoes. for dessert i ordered a chocolate "fondant" cake with custard and ice cream, what i got was a dry piece of microwaved cake and vanilla ice cream. the cake was definitely not worth the $12 it was terrible!
the second time i went with a group and had the reef on reef and substituted the chips for sweet potato mash. the mash was watery with no seasoning, the fish was cooked nicely as were the prawns but the sauce had no taste what-so-ever.
definitely will not go back here until the food is improved and menu prices looked at.
