astounding. i think it astounding that someone who clearly works at this place thinks it is appropriate to make a comment ridiculing people who are writing a review. either you are the owner, or you should no longer have a job there! remember the rules of hospitality, or any business for that matter, whilst you may not think the customer is always right, they pay your wages!! by the looks of the reviews you need to either improve your food or yourserviceor both or i wont be back!!

great food great service!. came in for dinner as a party of 6 for my friends birthday this week. nick was our waiter, who just excelled throughout the entire evening. food was also cooked to perfection everyone ordered something different and all were highly satisfied. took us ages to decide what to order as every item on the menu sounded wonderful! presentation was also excellent on the plate.compliments to the chef we will be back! coming from a background in 5 star hotels it takes alot to impress me but from the moment i sat down i felt welcomed and relaxed. we even brought a cake which can sometimes not go down well, but was greeted with a smile and the staff even sang happy birthday! just want to say a big thanks to nick his manners andserviceskills were spot on and really added to the total experience.

went for mothers day breakfast and i must say i am very disappointed the food was horrible i had half burnt pancakes and half raw pancakes the toast was stone cold! after being there for half an hour we recieved the coffees we ordered the largest coffee possible but recieved the small cups as they had ran out of the larger mugs was not told this until we asked were these the largest. common courtesy would have been an apology and explanation without having to be asked. after about another 20 mins a waitress came to the table and told us we would have to leave to make room for the next customers when asked if we could speak to the manager he came over we explained some of us hadnt even finished our meals yet and he just dismissed what we were saying then starting having a laugh about it with one of the guys out the back very unprofessional! when we went to pay the waitress said it was unacceptable that we only had 40 mins to eat our breakfast and leave and said she can offer takeaway coffees as the apology but we would have to pay for them!?! i will never be going back to the steel tree and will tell all my family and friends about the rude unhelpful and disgusting food andservicewe recieved!

i went for lunch during the week with a friend. we both got the lunch special: meal and a glass of wine for $15.99 we were able to choose any wine from the wine list which i think was great. i got the beef and red wine pie. it comes with chips but i was able to swap the chips for a salad with very minimal hassle. we both had a cappuccino and a slice of the picnic cheesecake for dessert. theservicewas friendly, the prices were even friendlier, the food came promptly and was yummy and location right on the foreshore was great. i would definitely recommend this. not fancy, but cosy and good for a casual meal.

beautiful view but that is where it ended. servicewas really slow. we waited 30minutes to order drinks. the staff seemed to be avoiding us. i ended up going up to the drinks counter and asked to be served. we ordered drinks first. i ordered a gin and tonic and a bottle of bubbles. my gin was made with water not tonic and they brought us out a bottle of still wine not bubbles. all good they replaced my gin and tonic and swapped the wine over. yay. now onto the food. we ordered the seafood platter for two for $85. it was horrible and really small. we got 4 oysters which were supposed to be natural but came out as overcooked and as kilpatrick. we got 6 overcooked mussels in a tomato sauce (not chilli at all) 6 small prawns in a bland white sauce (tasted like they were frozen), some rubbery squid and two pieces of fish that tasted like bassa and was mushy and cold chips. for $85 i expected way more. should of went to palm beach cafe instead. really really really average. i’m a local and am never going back.

my husband and i ordered the share plate. i doubt that anything on that plate was made in that kitchen on the night. the squid was like rubber, the duck wings weren’t duck, they were chicken ( yes your diners can tell the difference) the mushroom was watery with the weird egg combo on top. my son ordered a coke, which was poured from a 2 litre bottle and it was flat. i returned the coke to the bar. and yes it was replaced, he had a coke that they poured from a newly opened bottle. i thought that was a weird practice in itself as generally when you order a fizzy drink it is served in the can or small bottle for the customer to pour into a glass! my son ordered the made to order burger with beef. he said he didn’t think much of it. whilst sitting there at the table, the bar shelf looked messy and cluttered. i looked up to see large old cobwebs in and around the light fittings. the seating arrangement felt uncomfortable. the only positive was theservicefrom the waitress ( however, she forgot my son ordered beef, she was learning though) she was friendly.
to say i was disappointed on our friday night meal is an understatement.
i will never walk through your doors again.

i have been to steel tree for breakfast, lunch, dinner and just for snacks now. theirservicehas been great every time, and the food is impeccable with great value for money. definitely recommend the big breakfast, or for lunch/dinner the thai beef salad. they do specialty cocktails which change regularly and are all delicious, $12 lunch specials, and everything is available as take away!

food was very average, we ordered 3 mains. the pumpkin and cheese tart - give that a 5/10 - nothing special. the carbonara- was horrible, give it a 3/10. and the fish and chips, i really liked it, although i don't eat fish! while my partner said it tasted like it came from a fish and chip shop.. only it was more than double the price! i'd give it a 6/10.
i was looking forward to trying this place due to their good reviews and how busy they were! althoughservicewas great, all we wanted was an awesome meal! we searched the strip for ages looking for the perfect place.. and ended up regretting our decision.. 😔

only been for breakfast. the pancakes are always good, the coffee not so. more just inconsistent with coffee. the raw cakes are fantastic. i've had very goodservicehere 75% of the time.

this place is alway, well, always ok but last night was very disappointing. theservicewas bad and we had to keep calling out to the wait staff to help
us. there was a number of items on the menu that the kitchen did not have even though the local iga is a two minute walk from restaurant. to top it of we told the waitress we were having dessert a number of times and after waiting a long time to get a menu to order, we were then told the coffee machine had been turned off. seriously, three wishes next door would have been a better choice.

came here for dinner and everything we had were very normal and not worth the price. the salmon was around $35 and tasted exactly the same as the $10 salmon dish at ikea and the lamb shank tasted like a oven packet lamb shank from coles. the dessert was the best part of the night but the presentation was a bit unappealing. looked like a a bunch of cream with popcorn chucked on top but thankfully it tasted good. apart from the food theservicewas great.

i was here for breakfast. the food was good. coffee was good. nothing stood out here as being above average. theservicefrom staff was good. price was good.
long wait for the food, especially given there were only two tables of people in the place.
would go here for breakfast again.

favourite on the foreshore. i've gone to the steel tree more times than i can count on both hands and toes! i've never once had a bad experience and i've been here for all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner). breakfast is my favourite if i had to choose! i've never had terribleservicehere.. the staff are always lovely and accomodating for requests, i'm a little shocked to see so many comments saying how poorserviceis here. i can't fault anything at the steel tree. i've never had a bad meal or had to wait for a ridiculous amount of time for food. it's priced well too and is my favourite on the foreshore :)

absolutely brilliant. went here now three times as we were getting sick of the garbage cafés on offer in rockingham. thank god we did. i can't say enough good things about this place. food was amazing and we have had quite a few things from there now,servicewas great and atmosphere was pleasing. plus the fact that they will make anything they have for takeaway means we go back over and over. definitely recommend this place.

not the steel tree of old. i hadn't been here in a while, so thought we would try it out a few weeks ago. much to my disappointment, it is just not of the same quality orservicethat it once was. it was a tuesday, so not a busy night and restuarant half full, so you would expect quick attentive service. wrong. you expect the wait staff to listen when you are taking your order. wrong. as a result they bought out the wrong drinks. ordered oysters kilpatrick for entree. they didn't seem overly fresh. they were slimy and too much sauce and bacon, maybe to cover the lack of freshness. wait staff took a while to clear the table, then we waited at least 30 minutes for our main. i hate to see the wait on a busy night. the mains were ok, but nothing to write home about. overall the we paid the same or more than what we used to, when this place was good, and got much less than we bargained for. i wish i could say i would come again, but am really reluctant to waste my money when there are other more worthy places around perth
