saturday lunch. dissapointed. long wait for lunch even though not many customers. asked for med-well steak but received a tough, overcooked steak i struggled to cut with a steak knife. burntcoffeealso.

one of the worst coffees i have ever had! very poorly made, under extractedcoffeewith enough froth for a cappuccino on my flat white. our slice of cake came out 5 odd minutes before my flat shite, then my partners latte came out 3/4 minutes afterwards, at least we got an apology for the wait!

went for mothers day breakfast and i must say i am very disappointed the food was horrible i had half burnt pancakes and half raw pancakes the toast was stone cold! after being there for half an hour we recieved the coffees we ordered the largestcoffeepossible but recieved the small cups as they had ran out of the larger mugs was not told this until we asked were these the largest. common courtesy would have been an apology and explanation without having to be asked. after about another 20 mins a waitress came to the table and told us we would have to leave to make room for the next customers when asked if we could speak to the manager he came over we explained some of us hadnt even finished our meals yet and he just dismissed what we were saying then starting having a laugh about it with one of the guys out the back very unprofessional! when we went to pay the waitress said it was unacceptable that we only had 40 mins to eat our breakfast and leave and said she can offer takeaway coffees as the apology but we would have to pay for them!?! i will never be going back to the steel tree and will tell all my family and friends about the rude unhelpful and disgusting food and service we recieved!

ridiculous prices for small average serves.
$19 smashed avo on toast appeared to be a spread and not fresh avocado, but hard to tell with the minuscule amount. $6.50 largecoffeeis the same size you'll pay $5 for down the road.
very disappointing with so many other options in the area.

amazing staff and service. not sure why so many bad reviews.coffeeis mediocre but love the cocktails. wide variety of food and priced very moderately.

only been for breakfast. the pancakes are always good, thecoffeenot so. more just inconsistent with coffee. the raw cakes are fantastic. i've had very good service here 75% of the time.

average food, lacking fresh flavours and missing the edge. the salads have too much onion and don't taste fresh. the chips weren't cooked well. thecoffeewas not good. it's a little cheaper than surrounding places but i wouldn't go back.

this place is alway, well, always ok but last night was very disappointing. the service was bad and we had to keep calling out to the wait staff to help
us. there was a number of items on the menu that the kitchen did not have even though the local iga is a two minute walk from restaurant. to top it of we told the waitress we were having dessert a number of times and after waiting a long time to get a menu to order, we were then told thecoffeemachine had been turned off. seriously, three wishes next door would have been a better choice.

i was here for breakfast. the food was good.coffeewas good. nothing stood out here as being above average. the service from staff was good. price was good.
long wait for the food, especially given there were only two tables of people in the place.
would go here for breakfast again.

coffee is horrible. i went here for acoffeethe other day and it tasted like water. it had no flavour and was quite possibly the worst i have had in rockingham.coffeenext door at three wishes is much better. when i complained to the waiter, i was told it wasn't the best quality coffee.

seafood beware... the fish and prawns are from vietnam, so probably not the safest nor healthiest seafood around. for the prices charged, i would expect a bit more quality. just a tip to the steel tree, maybe get seafood from nz or local. i watched a programme about fish farms on the meekong river and you would never want to eat anything from that place.

on a positive note, the staff there were very nice and efficient. the waitress that served our table (sorry i didn't get your name) she had glasses on, was awesome, the best service i've had. thankyou should've left you a tip.

poor food. acoffeeand one main each for lunch for two was $70+ for carbonara and a salard. thecoffeewas brought out before my meal when i said after and the food was poor quality. pasta not cooked properly. oysters killpatrick on another occasion was horrible undercook and loaded with what tasted like bolegnase sauce??? the galic bread is soggy warm bread with cuts smeared butter and a tiny bit of garlic. never going again has been poor all 3 times.

have eaten here quite a few times and although i don't mind the food in general, the service can be hit and miss. especially in the mornings, twice last week we sat and orderedcoffeeand over 30mins later did not arrive. needless to say we went elsewhere for breakfast.

went for breakfast this morning, what a mistake! our meals arrived before our coffees. thecoffeewas either watery or burnt. the fried eggs were fried so much that there wasn't much egg left! $4 for mushrooms is steep when you all you get is a teeny amount. very disappointing!

disappointed with service. i have been to this restaurant many times and the last 2 times i've been there have been disappointed with standard of service from wait staff.
lunch on 20th feb 2013 staff got my friends lunch order wrong. brought her something different and also gave me a latte instead of a cappuccino.
dinner on 2nd feb 2013. my husband had a broken chair that was caved in on one side and was uncomfortable for most of the meal until a waiter was kind enough stay at our table long enough for him to tell. he also was given pepper sauce instead of mushroom sauce. he ate it as no staff member came and asked us how our meals were. he also asked for a flat whitecoffeeand 2 sugars and was given one. we also waited an extra long time for our main course and the restaurant wasn't busy. also the restaurant got very quiet from about 9pm and there was mess on the floor near our table from some kids and the wait staff didn't bother to clean it up yet they were standing around doing nothing for some of the time. the meal was ok but i definitely have had better at you restaurant but the wait staff need to lift their game before i decide to return.
