my husband and i ordered the share plate. i doubt that anything on that plate was made in that kitchen on the night. the squid was like rubber, the duck wings weren’t duck, they were chicken ( yes your diners can tell the difference) the mushroom was watery with the weird egg combo on top. my son ordered a coke, which was poured from a 2 litre bottle and it was flat. i returned the coke to the bar. and yes it was replaced, he had a coke that they poured from a newly opened bottle. i thought that was a weird practice in itself as generally when you order a fizzy drink it is served in the can or small bottle for the customer to pour into a glass! my son ordered the made to order burger with beef. he said he didn’t think much of it. whilst sitting there at the table, the bar shelf looked messy and cluttered. i looked up to see large old cobwebs in and around the light fittings. the seating arrangement felt uncomfortable. the only positive was the service from the waitress ( however, she forgot my son ordered beef, she was learning though) she was friendly.
to say i was disappointed on our friday night meal is an understatement.
i will never walk through your doors again.

amazing staff and service. not sure why so many bad reviews. coffee is mediocre but love the cocktails. wide variety of food and priced very moderately.

slow service. when eventually it comes food is burnt. empty cafe does not allow sitting on certain tables. never again.
probably they are visited only by accidentally walking past people.

i have been to steel tree for breakfast, lunch, dinner and just for snacks now. their service has been great every time, and the food is impeccable with great value for money. definitely recommend the big breakfast, or for lunch/dinner the thai beef salad. they do specialty cocktails which change regularly and are all delicious, $12 lunch specials, and everything is available as take away!

food was very average, we ordered 3 mains. the pumpkin and cheese tart - give that a 5/10 - nothing special. the carbonara- was horrible, give it a 3/10. and the fish and chips, i really liked it, although i don't eat fish! while my partner said it tasted like it came from a fish and chip shop.. only it was more than double the price! i'd give it a 6/10.
i was looking forward to trying this place due to their good reviews and how busy they were! although service was great, all we wanted was an awesome meal! we searched the strip for ages looking for the perfect place.. and ended up regretting our decision.. 😔

just ate a very poor lunch there. stale turkish bread, overcooked, tough steak in steak sandwich. bottled dressing used in thai salad with tough chewy beef and no peanuts on dish. no apology from staff or offer of discount etc.

been here a couple of times and impressed with the quality and quantity of food for the price you pay. very affordable, all the dishes i've tried from the breakfast and lunch menu are delicious and beautiful, as well as the coffees. what keeps me coming back even more is the friendliness of the staff, and you can tell a lot of people make this their regular haunt. their child friendly too, with the added bonus of being on the foreshore makes this close to heaven.

disappointing meal poor service. ordered reef on reef special and was refused the option to change out chips and salad to mash and vegetables. waited over an hour for main which came swimming in enough garlic sauce to meet a kebab shops full weekend rush. unlikely to return.

only been for breakfast. the pancakes are always good, the coffee not so. more just inconsistent with coffee. the raw cakes are fantastic. i've had very good service here 75% of the time.

average food, lacking fresh flavours and missing the edge. the salads have too much onion and don't taste fresh. the chips weren't cooked well. the coffee was not good. it's a little cheaper than surrounding places but i wouldn't go back.

friendly and attentive staff, great price, yum wine and delicious food. beer list. but short but other than that beautiful end to a lovey weekend.

we decided to go to this restaurant because they are having a deal that is buying one main meal and getting another free main meal. the waitress was so friendly, however, it took them so long to cook for our order ..... 30 mins. the price is quite expensive. the food is so so

this place is alway, well, always ok but last night was very disappointing. the service was bad and we had to keep calling out to the wait staff to help
us. there was a number of items on the menu that the kitchen did not have even though the local iga is a two minute walk from restaurant. to top it of we told the waitress we were having dessert a number of times and after waiting a long time to get a menu to order, we were then told the coffee machine had been turned off. seriously, three wishes next door would have been a better choice.
