limited selection of beers but all great tasting. they have about 11 draft beers. bison burger good, not big fan of bbq sauce on it, but that is just my taste. note: bison dries out real easily when cooking, don't order this well done! rare or medium rare is best. firstplacei have been to that lets you mix 2 types of fries. cajun are not overly spicy but have a nice flavor. steak fries were crisp but needed some more salt and pepper. great wait staff, since my first time here took many of their recommendations.

dog food - if you hate your dog. went there monday dec. 9th 2013. being from out of town i asked what was considered their best shot at a good meal. (when in rome, right??...) the hostess told me the burgers were great. uhmmm... the burger was worse than dog food. dry, dry, dry and disgusting. it was a pre-formed frozen patty - you could tell from the perfectly formed oval shape. grey in color, and tasteless. the bun was hard and stale. service was lame-o and slow as molasses. slc, you need to whip up on thisplaceto get their act together. when it's this bad, i don't even consider a 2nd chance. avoid this dump. it is absolute pure garbage.

i liked thisplacevery much. it was big and well-decorated with a great outdoor patio. the beer was pretty solid, even in a mormon state, and the menu was large and diverse. i think i got a reuben, if i remember correctly, and rather enjoyed the fare.

i parked in the public parking next door and go out of my mini van.  i was feeling pretty tough i know.  i wanted to see if this was the type ofplacei could bring my kids in and get some food.  sure enough after walking in the door, i immediately saw 3-4 tables with small children.  theplacelooked pretty cool, and i had heard a lot of good things about the food.  it was time to try squatters for the first time.

by far my favoriteplaceto eat in the valley. squatters keeps that middle class bar feel while running an amazing sit down restaurant, and if you believe beer is good for the soul then you should have been here years ago instead of just now looking at reviews. captain bastard is the best oatmeal stout/dark beer evar!!!!!!! im addicted...

meh. we were traveling from out of town, and wanted aplaceto have some good food and relax a little. theplacewas the only busy restaurant we had seen while walking downtown, so stopped in. ordered one of their draft beers, which was really good. the food was mediocre. nothing to get excited about, and personally a little overpriced. one of us had a burger, it was good, nothing to rave about. i ordered the mediterranean pizza. it was basically cheese & chicken pizza with some tomatoes and artichoke hearts thrown into the middle of the outside of the pizza. tomatoes and artichoke were cold, and seemed to come out of a jar. didn't stick around for dessert. basically it's a glorified applebees, with really good beer. maybe next time just go in for drinks.

excellent food- so much more than just pub food!!. for beer, a burger, or even something more off the beaten path, squatters is an excellentplaceto get a bite or just hang out at the bar and much on appetizers. the menu is diverse and anything and everything i have had from burgers to tacos has been great, especially compared to other "gastropubs" around downtown. you might have a problem getting a table on a weekend, but it's worth the wait...

wonderfulplacefor dinner.. we visited this place, three of us while in town for the wasatch front 100 endurance run. i am not a beer drinker, but the other two in my party were, and very much liked the beer they chose. i had the roadhouse nachos, which was nice and generously portioned. my entree was the roasted veggie sandwich, which was a bit soggy, but delicious. i'd recommend they put something to act as a barrier between the roasted veggies and the bread, such as some cheese or lettuce.

best of all, the atmosphere was nice, the service was really fast. we sat outside, where the chairs are tiny and kind of weird and uncomfortable. it was nice outside, but probably i'll sit inside next time. it's a bit on the pricier side for pub food, but i expected that because of the downtown location. i'd definitely go there again.

bad bad bad service, mediocre food. this was one of the worst experiences i have had at a restaurant in a very long time. i wish i would have listened to the previous reviews. the best part of the night was that all our food was brought out quickly. it ended there. we ordered drinks and appetizers. we received our appetizers and took forever to get refills on our drinks. there were 3 of us and a 7month old baby at a small table. when our dinner came we had to pile up our appetizer plates in the middle of the table and the server had toplaceone of the plates at the corner of the table because there wasn't room with our other dishes there. he didn't bother to take any plates away so we were stuck with a very crowded table. several other small things happened but culminated into a very bad night. we even had to track down our waitress for our bill. i highly recommend you do not eat here.

great for a late night snack!. i was with a group of co-workers who wanted to go to aplacewhere we could have good drinks, good snacks, and a niceplacewhere we could hear each other talk! we found it at squatters.

the strawberry fields cocktail was amazing. very attractive, and very tasty. i am unsuccessfully trying to duplicate this drink myself!

we had the chips and dip - great salsas, guacamole and beans. we also had the appetizer platter. the onions rings and fried pickles were delicious!

i can't wait to go back and try their entrees and their beer.

alright, time for the first installment of the new beers i tried on the recent trip to las vegas for dustin's bachelor party. sorry, no bachelor party stories in this webspace... maybe check brent's facebook? our first stop (after spending the night in new orleans) was actually in the salt lake city airport, at aplacecalled squatters pub . the brewery opened in 1989 and now they run 3 locations... the original in salt lake city, a location in park city, and a location in the airport. and for an airport pub the selection was really not bad. they had a wide range of the standard beers plus bottles of some of the specialties. first up was the squatters organic amber ale . it's a pretty typical looking amber ale served in an imperial pint glass. dark caramel color with a small white head, but on a bar pour you don't really want a large head, right? the aroma is malt dominant as it should be, but with a nice hint of hops. it has a good balance on the nose for sure. unfortunately the taste

beer oasis in an ale desert. if you are visiting and staying downtown, definitely worth visiting for a lunch, not dinner. it is big and loud, but that is ok during lunch time. the service is not so hot, but expected in aplacelike this. the food is decent and certainly better than other similar beer-food establishments. the beer is not strong or mind-blowing to beer aficionados but certainly worth trying. the ownership are the local rebels for the cause of defending the right to drink beer in the local area and the state of utah, with its myriad of arcane laws against drinking. definitely try the ipa if you are not sure or something seasonal is always worth a shot, but your best bet is getting the two different sampler trays and trying all of the varieties in small glasses with descriptions underneath.
