squatters pub brewery

good beer, boring food. we're always looking for good microbrews in whatever city we happen to be in, so we stopped in our way through salt lake. the beer was pretty good - nothing mind blowing, but satisfying just the same. the food was incredibly bland and had a pre-packaged flavor. maybe stick with bar food standbys here, ie, burgers.

it's ok. long wait for table... long wait for food. carnitas were great. very busy for a monday. good beer

tonight i went in and ordered a pulled pork sandwich and the order was lost so after 30 minutes my server had it rushed.  here is what i received chicken under the pulled pork.  the manager a lady said oh well.  i guess they just don't care about the food they put out.

awesome beer, better food. the only thing better than the beer at squatters is the food. the mac & cheese and tacos are both amazing (vegetarian) options for those who can't usually partake in bar food. yum!

the beer is excellent. the food average and over priced. the beertender horrible.

good.....sorry, great beer. it's a tradition us to hit squatters every new year's eve.
well, we like it a lot more than just a year end joint so do visit it for interesting new beers they introduce.
good food, nice location & good service.

afternoon unwind

in the afternoon we stopped in to taste some local brew. the bartender, paul, was such a blessing to meet that day. after many selections to choose from we both decided on a mug. paul went above and beyond getting to know these south georgia gals. he suggested sites to visit and the next day we were off. with a rental car and his advice we had a fantastic tour of sundance, park city, bridal falls and provo canyon. what a blessing to have paul's expertise. the pub is great, beer excellent, and atmosphere fabulous.

you have to order beer in a bottle to get "non utah" beer or beer above 3.2% alcohol by weight. the food is terrific, i really liked the meatloaf. they have a bar to order from.

awesome local beers, nice food and service. it is cool place to visit in salt lake! i'll returno there in a next visit to the city, at least to have a beber.

been going there for years, good beer and the jambalaya is to die for.  service ranges from ok to good. 

after literally no service at gracies we walked over here we had food here before and it was decent, sat once again for 15 minutes not even a water or menu again while a waitress sat with her boyfriend just talking! so we had to go to a chain restaurant to finally get decent service!

family and out of town guest met for dinner at squatters downtown. i had good memories of their food and especially their fish from a prior visit about a year ago. we ordered wings and calamari appetizers, buffalo burger, no frills cheese burger, ahi tacos, cod tacos, a chicken salad and beers. the appetizers and beer were good. the buffalo burger could be taken directly from the buns and used as a hockey puck. the salad did not have especially fresh ingredients. the tacos were not well prepared and the fished tasted off. to my great discredit i choked down a ahi and cod taco and so did my son - we were sharing two tacos across plates. i left the restaurant with a taste in my mouth that worsened for hours despite efforts to remove it with brushing, mouth washing etc. around midnight i dashed to the bathroom for a thunder butt purge that left me feeling better. my son made it to the morning before he evacuated the fish. and all this for $120 + tip. not a happy customer.

limited selection of beers but all great tasting. they have about 11 draft beers. bison burger good, not big fan of bbq sauce on it, but that is just my taste. note: bison dries out real easily when cooking, don't order this well done! rare or medium rare is best. first place i have been to that lets you mix 2 types of fries. cajun are not overly spicy but have a nice flavor. steak fries were crisp but needed some more salt and pepper. great wait staff, since my first time here took many of their recommendations.

normally very good. stopped for lunch after a long day of travel & almost had to beg for service. service was slow and unaccommodating. may have been more due to server. i'll wait a long time to come back.

good food. love the beer, not the best i've had but right up there. you might have to wait a little as it gets busy. nixe ambience too. that's a 4!
