if you’re after great value for the price you pay then this is the spot for you.

the sweet potato fries with aioli sauce were soft, cooked and seasoned well. the chicken burger was satisfying and easier to demolish compared to the beef burger. the beef was greasy which soaked the salad and made it hard to consume.

the staff including the ones in the kitchen were all friendly and attentive with their service. great burger joint.

this place is amazing. the burgers are legendary. the food were decent sized and hospitality was good. despite being busy during dinner rush, they still had us seated immediately. orders came within 10-15 mins. this was evidence of their claim on the board saying “best burger bar for excellence 2018”. i would highly recommend this place if you are in the area. i give this place a delighted tomato.

spitfire definitely lived up to all the great reviews! the burgers are delicious (and huge!) and the staff have fantastic customer service skills. it gets very busy so be patient as it is well worth the wait!

spitfire was recommended to us by a local who eats here regularly and adores the place and the owners and staff. i also noticed that it’s currently the highest rated place in this area. the local said the food was great and the service exceptional. he’s right. it’s a terrific place.

i received a beautiful warm and friendly greeting on arrival. it’s not a large place but it feels good here with an overall spitfire influenced theme. that’s spitfire as in spitfire the old aeroplane.

i wasn’t in an adventurous mood so ordered the spitfire burger with chips.
the chips were delicious. hot, tasty and beautifully cooked very generous serve too. same with the burger. decent sized. in fact, too big for me to go close to finishing it. it had a good flavoured patty and was also very nicely cooked.

this is a good, very well run place. everything’s in harmony. it’s clearly a much loved place going by the people coming in and out regularly and the warm greetings and conversation i could hear.

very friendly service. i loved the atmosphere. the burger was massively big. i am pretty sure the meat patty did not only contain meat. it had a funny texture. it's a shame.

what a little gem and the burgers are delicious. and the service is fantastic, i love attentive and friendly staff and ours was! the burgers are big so be hungry, the blue cheese dipping sauce is yum and super indulgent. we will definitely be back and i have already recommended this joint to others.

i’ll start with the service. it’s fantastic! the man who served us was so friendly and helpful with recommendations. we ordered sweet potato fries, buffalo wings, the hurricane and a spicy beef burger (i forgot the name, it’s got thai chillies). i loved the hurricane burger as the chicken breasts were not only tender and juicy but also soooo very full of flavour! the buffalo wings isn’t traditional but it’s reallyyyy good in its own style. the portion of burgers are huge so be ready to do takeaways of your leftovers because you should try more of their foods rather than less.

great service and experience, server was more than helpful from the get go! is a bit on the pricier side but the portions you get with the burgers and sides more than makes up for it, one thing is for certain you won’t leave hungry! worth checking out :)

wow, this place is full of bad food, everything there is too much and too dry. we went there based on the score, but couldn't finish the tasteless bad food. i don't understand the concept of huge dry oliy burger, apparently the manager was proud of their bad food. you'll face a huge burger that can't be eaten neither with hands, the normal way of eating burgers, nor with cutlery because it's dry.

loved our meal at spitfire! while it looks like just one of the many little restaurants/cafes along point nepean road, spitfire has created an interesting dining experience through its eclectic decorations featuring model spitfires (what else?) and other world war ii curios. it certainly kept the boys (both young and old) entertained checking it all out. service was fantastic and super attentive, and the food was great too. burgers had juicy patties piled high; chips were crunchy and well seasoned; buffalo wings were the right amount of sticky and tasty. if you like a spice/chilli kick in your food, you can’t go past the red baron. couldn’t fault our experience. be prepared to ask for a take-home box as the portions are huge!

amazing burger! was absolutely huge but very tasty and well cooked. i will say the kids meals are very large and the burger was so thick that neither of our kids could fit it in their mouth, they did find it a bit tricky having to use a knife and fork for a burger. there was a minor mess up with our drinks but it was quickly rectified.

what a cute little place!!! the guy who served us was so friendly and easygoing, happy to answer any questions and assist with choosing things from the menu. we tried the buffalo wings - really good! must try! we also had a chicken salad which i couldn't fault, great grilled chicken breast with sweet chilli sauce and simple fresh salad. we saw other people getting their burgers and they were huge! save that for when you're really hungry. definitely want to come back for the burgers and the friendly atmosphere.

i am from melbourne. my partner and me were going to portsea and we stopped for dinner at rosebud. i had this delicious huge burger yesterday. i was so big and tasty. meat cooked very well and lot of stuffs in my burger. also lovely decorated restaurant and friendly staffs. i really like this place and want to go again.
