ordered the thunderbolt burger and sweet potato fries. best burger and some of the best fries i’ve had. my wife ordered the p.o.w and loved that as well.friendlyservice and really cool decorations/theme of the place too. no complaints here, would recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

we came across this restaurant going back to melbourne from mornington peninsula. what a gem.

the decor is unique and cool. the service was superfriendlyfrom start to finish. great amount of space and good ambience.

the food was fantastic. tasty burgers and the sweet potato fries and dipping sauce was on point.

the table service from danny (from venice, italy) was very genuine,friendlyand welcoming. he’s awesome.

this place gets the all round 5 stars from us. we rarely write reviews , but this place deserves it. hope to return one day.

don’t rely on other reviews marking this place down, they are down right ridiculously critical . this place is perfect.

went with such excitement only to find a hair in my burger. staff were veryfriendlyabout it all and was made a new one. the burger was very dry and nearly inedible. then instead of it being on the house was only offered a $4 discount.

tight space butfriendlystaff. however 5 of us waited almost an hour for a very average burger. their signature is to have a giant knife in a huge burger but the bun was dry and patties were not the greatest marination.

this restaurant is immaculate. from thefriendlystaff to the fantastic food you cannot get anywhere else!
my family and i visited here earlier this week and our food was fantastic. we ordered hot & mild buffalo wings and 5 (very big) burgers, safe to say we were all very satisfied.
i ordered the mosquito, whilst my family ordered the spitfire and thunder bolt.

ridiculous portion sizes of below average food. quantity over quality in this disaster of a place. veryfriendlystaff but doesnt make up for the bad thick burger patties (burnt on one side for me). also got wings for entree which came out about 25 mins after burgers. asked after 10 mins into the burger to cancel if they hadnt started cooking them yet, said they were almost done. 15 plus mins later they arrived.

if you’re after great value for the price you pay then this is the spot for you.

the sweet potato fries with aioli sauce were soft, cooked and seasoned well. the chicken burger was satisfying and easier to demolish compared to the beef burger. the beef was greasy which soaked the salad and made it hard to consume.

the staff including the ones in the kitchen were allfriendlyand attentive with their service. great burger joint.

spitfire was recommended to us by a local who eats here regularly and adores the place and the owners and staff. i also noticed that it’s currently the highest rated place in this area. the local said the food was great and the service exceptional. he’s right. it’s a terrific place.

i received a beautiful warm andfriendlygreeting on arrival. it’s not a large place but it feels good here with an overall spitfire influenced theme. that’s spitfire as in spitfire the old aeroplane.

i wasn’t in an adventurous mood so ordered the spitfire burger with chips.
the chips were delicious. hot, tasty and beautifully cooked very generous serve too. same with the burger. decent sized. in fact, too big for me to go close to finishing it. it had a good flavoured patty and was also very nicely cooked.

this is a good, very well run place. everything’s in harmony. it’s clearly a much loved place going by the people coming in and out regularly and the warm greetings and conversation i could hear.

what a little gem and the burgers are delicious. and the service is fantastic, i love attentive andfriendlystaff and ours was! the burgers are big so be hungry, the blue cheese dipping sauce is yum and super indulgent. we will definitely be back and i have already recommended this joint to others.

i’ll start with the service. it’s fantastic! the man who served us was sofriendlyand helpful with recommendations. we ordered sweet potato fries, buffalo wings, the hurricane and a spicy beef burger (i forgot the name, it’s got thai chillies). i loved the hurricane burger as the chicken breasts were not only tender and juicy but also soooo very full of flavour! the buffalo wings isn’t traditional but it’s reallyyyy good in its own style. the portion of burgers are huge so be ready to do takeaways of your leftovers because you should try more of their foods rather than less.

what a cute little place!!! the guy who served us was sofriendlyand easygoing, happy to answer any questions and assist with choosing things from the menu. we tried the buffalo wings - really good! must try! we also had a chicken salad which i couldn't fault, great grilled chicken breast with sweet chilli sauce and simple fresh salad. we saw other people getting their burgers and they were huge! save that for when you're really hungry. definitely want to come back for the burgers and thefriendlyatmosphere.

i am from melbourne. my partner and me were going to portsea and we stopped for dinner at rosebud. i had this delicious huge burger yesterday. i was so big and tasty. meat cooked very well and lot of stuffs in my burger. also lovely decorated restaurant andfriendlystaffs. i really like this place and want to go again.

100% best burgers in town!! the staff are all veryfriendlyand provide great service. always satisfied, definitely worth eating at spitfire!

hands down best burgers. i drive 50 minutes to this place for a burger. the wait staff are excellent, and the owners and their two boys are brilliant, veryfriendlyand up for a chat. the 3rd time we went there, my 6 month old was a bit restless and wouldn't lay still in the pram, so one of the owners picked him up and walked up and down the restaurant with him whilst my wife and i were able to eat our burgers. ingredients always fresh and, nothing is too hard for them. their menu says no alterations to the burgers, but they always accommodate if you want something changed. i don't even look at the menu any more, i just ask the owner to make me something and he comes up with a burger. bring your appetite, they are seriously big.
