spitfire restaurant and grill

came for a late lunch with my sis and we decided to get a burger and have sweet potato fries. so glad we decided to share burger instead since we saw the people on the tables around us couldn't finish theirs. the burger was a special on the day we visited and it was massive. it was really tasty and the pork patty in the burger was thick,juicy and tender. we manage to finish everything. this place serves reallygoodburgers at a reasonable price for their size.

besides the burgers and wings being extremely deliciously, the service was 6 stars. amazing! keep up thegoodwork and will definitely be back. the hurricane burger was a highlight for me.

tast burger with a thick meat patty.goodvalue with a large serving of chips on the side. a great spot for a quick bite to eat.

if you’re looking for monstrous burgers and mouth watering wings then look no further. set against the backdrop of a breathtaking seaside town, this is an unmissable foodie destination.

yes. going to mornington for a daytrip is going to be my excuse to come to this restaurant, that’s howgoodit is.

we came across this restaurant going back to melbourne from mornington peninsula. what a gem.

the decor is unique and cool. the service was super friendly from start to finish. great amount of space andgoodambience.

the food was fantastic. tasty burgers and the sweet potato fries and dipping sauce was on point.

the table service from danny (from venice, italy) was very genuine, friendly and welcoming. he’s awesome.

this place gets the all round 5 stars from us. we rarely write reviews , but this place deserves it. hope to return one day.

don’t rely on other reviews marking this place down, they are down right ridiculously critical . this place is perfect.

we came here after seeing suchgoodreviews however we did not understand how the reviews were so high. ordered a burger each and managed only about 4 bites as they were both incredibly dry and stale. you can’t eat it with your hands because the patty is a rock of meat which is both dry and tasteless. the bun is stale, dry and hard even though it wasn’t toasted. the tomato in my burger had been lying out for a while as the edges had dried. this was just awful, i supremely regret not going to mcdonald’s or waiting until i got home to order grill’d. my god this place was awful.

spitfire was recommended to us by a local who eats here regularly and adores the place and the owners and staff. i also noticed that it’s currently the highest rated place in this area. the local said the food was great and the service exceptional. he’s right. it’s a terrific place.

i received a beautiful warm and friendly greeting on arrival. it’s not a large place but it feelsgoodhere with an overall spitfire influenced theme. that’s spitfire as in spitfire the old aeroplane.

i wasn’t in an adventurous mood so ordered the spitfire burger with chips.
the chips were delicious. hot, tasty and beautifully cooked very generous serve too. same with the burger. decent sized. in fact, too big for me to go close to finishing it. it had agoodflavoured patty and was also very nicely cooked.

this is a good, very well run place. everything’s in harmony. it’s clearly a much loved place going by the people coming in and out regularly and the warm greetings and conversation i could hear.

i’ll start with the service. it’s fantastic! the man who served us was so friendly and helpful with recommendations. we ordered sweet potato fries, buffalo wings, the hurricane and a spicy beef burger (i forgot the name, it’s got thai chillies). i loved the hurricane burger as the chicken breasts were not only tender and juicy but also soooo very full of flavour! the buffalo wings isn’t traditional but it’s reallyyyygoodin its own style. the portion of burgers are huge so be ready to do takeaways of your leftovers because you should try more of their foods rather than less.

one of the best and biggest burgers i’ve ever had. i had absolutely no chance of finishing it but gave it agoodcrack. the boyfriend loved it even more than i did!!

these were ginormous 😯 in the best ways possible, of course. i got the spitfire burger with an extra serving of bacon and a fried egg (which i totally recommend btw) and it was stuffed with a thick beef patty, fresh veggies, caramelised onions, glorious cheese and slathered with sauce.

the patty was cooked all the way through and nicely charred on the surface. it did get a little dry which is my only gripe but hey with a patty that thick you can't really complain 😛

biggest burger i have seen or had. great ambience and friendly staff.. however all the excitement has fallen down as soon as we started to eat the burger. it was a struggle. there is no other way of eating except to eat everything seperate. that sorta kills the whole burger eating experience. i ordered vegetarian burger. pattie wasgoodbut sweet chilli sauce was little too much. my friends who ordered chicken and beef mentioned how they could have more flavor and chicken was too dry..

great service and the staff know how to make you feel welcomed. tried the spitfire and thunderbolt burger. definitely an eyeopened. the thunderbolt had a few pieces of chicken, generous amount of veggies, though without the pesto, the burger is quite plain. the spitfire had a thick beef patty and was flavoursome. buffalo wings had agoodtaste, though the mild wasn't hot at all. crispy chips and lightly seasoned. drinks are good, just the right amount of sweetness.

when you're outside the restaurant, you would not expect that this place would give a "wow" moment. i can clearly say that it definitely wow-ed us with their first greeting. the waiter and waitress was so friendly and their service was top notch! and to add the cherry on top, the burgers were huge! including the kids meal! despite having huge burger patties - some might think it'll be too dry or overcooked - it was delicious. all in all, we had a reallygoodand huge family meal. we were stuffed by the end of it.

huge burger, not greasy, well cooked,goodvalue, unlimited amounts of gags related to how big the burger was. the staff were friendly and put up with aforementioned gags, i'll definitely be back, you only need 2 meals a week if they're 2 burgers at spitfire. can't be denied.
