spitfire restaurant and grill

came for a late lunch with my sis and we decided to get a burger and have sweet potato fries. so glad we decided to share burger instead since we saw the people on the tables around us couldn't finish theirs. the burger was a special on the day we visited and it was massive. it was really tasty and the pork patty in the burger was thick,juicy and tender. we manage to finish everything. thisplaceserves really good burgers at a reasonable price for their size.

they’re burgers are absolutely huge and amazing. firstplacethat really does know how to do a “naked burger”

most other places, makes burgers means no bun and not filling.

this one was amazing - however it wasn’t too big of a meal where i felt like i died

honestly thisplaceis a little bit overrated. the burgers are very large, yes. but i found there wasn't enough flavour to it for me to actually enjoy such a large quantity, and eating it was just a big mess. also, the table was wonky and we had to listen to some guy having a massive tantrum at the staff and his date/gf right next to it that his burger was undercooked.

the burgers are how burgers should be dine. very big patty and nice thick. this is theplaceto get an outstanding burger.

lovely service and environment, price was reasonable with good portions of food. a goodplacefor brunch before heading off to the beach or hike!

ordered the thunderbolt burger and sweet potato fries. best burger and some of the best fries i’ve had. my wife ordered the p.o.w and loved that as well. friendly service and really cool decorations/theme of theplacetoo. no complaints here, would recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

thisplacehas such great vibes with such cool decor, the food is great and the waiter staff are attentive, funnyand friendly! large portion sizes feed the hungry men!

if your hungry this is theplaceto go. the meals are huge even the breakfasts are huge, in fact i have never finished a meal here as they are so big. you could probably share one meal between 2 people.

the burgers are so big they have a carving knife through it to keep it together. the staff are very accommodating and will change the burger to suit whatever fad diet you may be on. my friend was doing keto which is no carbs so they made her burger using lettuce leaves instead of the bun.

the decor here is very unique with a lot of vietnam war memorabilia hence the name spitfire.

we came across this restaurant going back to melbourne from mornington peninsula. what a gem.

the decor is unique and cool. the service was super friendly from start to finish. great amount of space and good ambience.

the food was fantastic. tasty burgers and the sweet potato fries and dipping sauce was on point.

the table service from danny (from venice, italy) was very genuine, friendly and welcoming. he’s awesome.

thisplacegets the all round 5 stars from us. we rarely write reviews , but thisplacedeserves it. hope to return one day.

don’t rely on other reviews marking thisplacedown, they are down right ridiculously critical . thisplaceis perfect.

we came here after seeing such good reviews however we did not understand how the reviews were so high. ordered a burger each and managed only about 4 bites as they were both incredibly dry and stale. you can’t eat it with your hands because the patty is a rock of meat which is both dry and tasteless. the bun is stale, dry and hard even though it wasn’t toasted. the tomato in my burger had been lying out for a while as the edges had dried. this was just awful, i supremely regret not going to mcdonald’s or waiting until i got home to order grill’d. my god thisplacewas awful.

thisplaceis amazing. the burgers are legendary. the food were decent sized and hospitality was good. despite being busy during dinner rush, they still had us seated immediately. orders came within 10-15 mins. this was evidence of their claim on the board saying “best burger bar for excellence 2018”. i would highly recommend thisplaceif you are in the area. i give thisplacea delighted tomato.

spitfire was recommended to us by a local who eats here regularly and adores theplaceand the owners and staff. i also noticed that it’s currently the highest ratedplacein this area. the local said the food was great and the service exceptional. he’s right. it’s a terrific place.

i received a beautiful warm and friendly greeting on arrival. it’s not a largeplacebut it feels good here with an overall spitfire influenced theme. that’s spitfire as in spitfire the old aeroplane.

i wasn’t in an adventurous mood so ordered the spitfire burger with chips.
the chips were delicious. hot, tasty and beautifully cooked very generous serve too. same with the burger. decent sized. in fact, too big for me to go close to finishing it. it had a good flavoured patty and was also very nicely cooked.

this is a good, very well run place. everything’s in harmony. it’s clearly a much lovedplacegoing by the people coming in and out regularly and the warm greetings and conversation i could hear.

wow, thisplaceis full of bad food, everything there is too much and too dry. we went there based on the score, but couldn't finish the tasteless bad food. i don't understand the concept of huge dry oliy burger, apparently the manager was proud of their bad food. you'll face a huge burger that can't be eaten neither with hands, the normal way of eating burgers, nor with cutlery because it's dry.

i am from melbourne. my partner and me were going to portsea and we stopped for dinner at rosebud. i had this delicious huge burger yesterday. i was so big and tasty. meat cooked very well and lot of stuffs in my burger. also lovely decorated restaurant and friendly staffs. i really like thisplaceand want to go again.

hands down best burgers. i drive 50 minutes to thisplacefor a burger. the wait staff are excellent, and the owners and their two boys are brilliant, very friendly and up for a chat. the 3rd time we went there, my 6 month old was a bit restless and wouldn't lay still in the pram, so one of the owners picked him up and walked up and down the restaurant with him whilst my wife and i were able to eat our burgers. ingredients always fresh and, nothing is too hard for them. their menu says no alterations to the burgers, but they always accommodate if you want something changed. i don't even look at the menu any more, i just ask the owner to make me something and he comes up with a burger. bring your appetite, they are seriously big.
