they’re burgers are absolutely huge and amazing. first place that really does know how to do a “naked burger”

most other places, makes burgers means no bun and not filling.

this one was amazing - however it wasn’t toobigof a meal where i felt like i died

honestly this place is a little bit overrated. the burgers are very large, yes. but i found there wasn't enough flavour to it for me to actually enjoy such a large quantity, and eating it was just abigmess. also, the table was wonky and we had to listen to some guy having a massive tantrum at the staff and his date/gf right next to it that his burger was undercooked.

the burgers are how burgers should be dine. verybigpatty and nice thick. this is the place to get an outstanding burger.

we ordered the three burgers...our favourite was the burger with pineapple!! they are really reallybigso make sure you are hungry as along with chips and buffalo wings we were full to the brim.

if your hungry this is the place to go. the meals are huge even the breakfasts are huge, in fact i have never finished a meal here as they are so big. you could probably share one meal between 2 people.

the burgers are sobigthey have a carving knife through it to keep it together. the staff are very accommodating and will change the burger to suit whatever fad diet you may be on. my friend was doing keto which is no carbs so they made her burger using lettuce leaves instead of the bun.

the decor here is very unique with a lot of vietnam war memorabilia hence the name spitfire.

after reviewing some of the photos, i decided that i wouldn't even attempt a burger and opted for a caeser salad. the kid's burger would have been the size of a standard burger. those that had the burgers commented that the patties were toobigand lacked seasoning. the buffalo wings were nice but i found the sticky sauce a bit too much.

service was very friendly, there is limited space for prams, it's busy with long wait times for service and food. try the mocha frappe...so good.

saw the giant burgers the day before and came in but it was breakfast time. lucky it was too because it was one of the best breakfasts in the area. had the scottish soldier and love love loved the amount of awesome black pudding that was included. reallybigserves for very reasonable prices. will be back for lunch and of course breakfast again.

spitfire was recommended to us by a local who eats here regularly and adores the place and the owners and staff. i also noticed that it’s currently the highest rated place in this area. the local said the food was great and the service exceptional. he’s right. it’s a terrific place.

i received a beautiful warm and friendly greeting on arrival. it’s not a large place but it feels good here with an overall spitfire influenced theme. that’s spitfire as in spitfire the old aeroplane.

i wasn’t in an adventurous mood so ordered the spitfire burger with chips.
the chips were delicious. hot, tasty and beautifully cooked very generous serve too. same with the burger. decent sized. in fact, toobigfor me to go close to finishing it. it had a good flavoured patty and was also very nicely cooked.

this is a good, very well run place. everything’s in harmony. it’s clearly a much loved place going by the people coming in and out regularly and the warm greetings and conversation i could hear.

what a little gem and the burgers are delicious. and the service is fantastic, i love attentive and friendly staff and ours was! the burgers arebigso be hungry, the blue cheese dipping sauce is yum and super indulgent. we will definitely be back and i have already recommended this joint to others.

i am from melbourne. my partner and me were going to portsea and we stopped for dinner at rosebud. i had this delicious huge burger yesterday. i was sobigand tasty. meat cooked very well and lot of stuffs in my burger. also lovely decorated restaurant and friendly staffs. i really like this place and want to go again.

had corsair burger. fantastic food.bigjuicy beef patty cooked perfectly. friendly wait staff willing to accommodate needs and refilling water on table without needing to be asked. sweet potato fries delish!

ordered the special burger scorpion and the red baron, chips of the side with chilli mayo that appeared to be homemade.
the burgers were massive. i'd recommend to everyone thats a newcomer here to just get a burger since they are massive and way too filling.
fair prices, scorpion burger was okay-ish i think it could do with less mayo but other than that, the overall taste was pretty good.
not abigfan of the turkish bun as they dont feel as fresh but dervice definitely made up for it.
friendly and pleasant staff, felt like they actually put some effort into making this burgers and you could taste it.
would recommend anytime :)

huge burger, not greasy, well cooked, good value, unlimited amounts of gags related to howbigthe burger was. the staff were friendly and put up with aforementioned gags, i'll definitely be back, you only need 2 meals a week if they're 2 burgers at spitfire. can't be denied.

we came here during our holiday in mornington and were greeted so warmly by the waiter. i had the thunder bolt burger which was one of the biggest burgers i have ever had! the chicken was juicy and the burger was yummy. my boyfriend had the vegetarian mushroom burger and said it was the best burger he has ever had. we also had fresh orange juice and the wedges which were both great. would definitely recommend this place forbigportions, great service and superb food.
