great food!. going to shaan is like going home, its comfortable, they know your name, and they know what you like. the food and the staff are top par, its just so comfortable to dine here and the staff gives great recommendations when you're trying new dishes.

was skeptical due to previous owners but wow!!!!. shaan indian is the best indian dig in this city! i was skeptical at first given my experiences with the previous owners and food (under another name) but when speakig with an indian client of mine, he highly recommended the place for both food and service. i have been there 3 x since and each experience was phenomenal. i've had 1)non vegetarian combo which consisted of a portion each of curry lamb, curry shrimp and curry chicken, a piece of tandori chicken with sauteed onion and pepper, garlic nan these are not tiny blobs on a gradeschool lunch tray like @ baba india but very nice sized servings with 4-5 pieces of meat in each one. 2) mushroom matar, a very wonderful mix of mushrooms, peas and tomato sauce!, 3) malai kofta (best veggie balls i've ever had) and the lamb biryani. a wonderful mix of veggies, curry, lamb nuts and rasins. the food is plentiful and absolutely delicious. the service i believe is a father and son tag team. they are warm and friendly (unlike the ladies @ baba who clear plates and refill water and never smile) and stand against the wall by the kitchen door stoned faced. no slam on babas food from me, it's very good but shaan is better, a tad less expensive and when i eat there i already feel like a valued and appriciated customer. they have my loyalty now.... kudos to the front end and the kitchen!!!!!!

this cozy, no frills place focuses on north indian fare. the food is cooked exquisitely with adequate heat. the service is outstanding. the chef even came out of the kitchen to chat with us. highly recommend the place especially if you enjoy indian meat dishes.

the food is just fine.... i like the hospitality.... lunch buffet is worth the money.... i did not like kadi pakora... nothing great for desserts

my favorite place in town!. i can't say enough good things about this place! i love it, we eat there every single week. buffet is super reasonable and there is always a saag dish on the list. way better than baba india and every bit as good as ambar. plus - no crowds! super friendly owners/waitstaff!

the whole restaurant is just on indian cuisine and they didn't fail at all to amaze me.

top quality naans, bature, pakoras and vegetables.

my favorite is: naan, paneer saag, raita😍

great lunch buffet, lots of options. be prepared very salty so hydrate before! recommended. very popular because you can byob. definitely get the chicken saag

this is the worst indian food i have ever had! i have had most indian places in the tri-state area and this one is by far the worst! the food is bland and watered down. please don't waste your time or money eating this garbage.

good place with decent options, consistency is a challenge. owner is good but smart for sure :). they don't serve dal tadka. not recommended, have been 3-4 times.

we are regretting our decision for going to this place.

frequent diner card it's so good!. staff are wonderful. owner brought me a to go box filled with my favorites when he noticed i had been coughing during our lunch buffet and didn't eat much. food is excellent. can't beat the price! $7.99 and 7th buffet is free.

wonderful food. we have enjoyed everything from this restaurant. the food tastes much better than the other indian restaurants in the city.

we have had our bill "changed" to a higher amount the last few times we've been there. the tally they showed us and the "corrected mistake" they gave us after they charged our card was an annoyance. i wish they'd either take the hit themselves for their own mistakes, calculate their bills more accurately or at the very least show you the corrected bill before charging you.

this only happened when we sat down to eat in and not when we got carry out. we'll keep going, but if it continues to happen, it'll really dampen our enthusiasm for the place.

amazing. best indian food in cincinnati! not to mention the owners are fantastic!

overall bad experience. food wasnt the greatest, compared to other indian restaurants in cincinnati. tables that sat down after us were getting their food faster which leads me to believe our food was sitting back in the kitchen since it was luke warm by the time we did get it. also kept asking for our check waited ten minutes before i had to get up to go get my own check.
