trust. trust me when i say that you will absolutely love this place. fresh ingredients, prepared directly in front of you, and made exactly to order. if i were you i would go out on a limb though and try the "trust" pizza where you let them select the toppings for you. i have never gotten a bad combination. it is also byob so make sure to throw some cold ones in the cooler and prepare yourself for the most amazing creations ever.

ahhhhh-mazing. i happened to be browsing urbanspoon as we were heading to johnson city last minute and i had nothing planned. i saw scratch and it caught my eye immediately. i think it was the "not for everyone" on the website. when we first walked in i was kinda worried we went to the wrong place... but the longer i looked around the more i loved it... toys and games to play with, a record player and lots of vinyl to pick your own music, self serve drinks in the cooler and the honor system when you pay! we got the whole wheat dough with meats and veggies and it was outstanding. the meats are made there and they are to die for! i highly recommend!!!!!!

get some today.. great baked goods. i love all the breads and the pizza is excellent. be sure to try some of the smoked meats as well. pizza, pizza.

best pizza with all the fresh ingredients you want. the atmosphere is unique and not available anywhere else. go in put a record on and chill with the cool staff as they make your pizza. it's byob.

love it!!!! the pizza is the best of anybody around. the atmosphere is very down to earth. i love the record player and huge selection of records to play. oh yeah!!!

excellent build your own pizza. we had the hand tossed french crust, with a number of toppings. it was delicious

fantastic ingredients. can’t go wrong if you like pizza. staff was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. great choices for unique soft drinks by the bottle.

great pizza! it's the best pizza i've ever eaten. i would highly recommended this place to anyone. the service is wonderful, extremely cool people.

unique and very special.  i moved to johnson city from asheville, nc and have been missing the small, entrepreneurial restaurant crowd.  this place has the perfect blend of atmosphere and delicious pizza.  beautiful brick oven and a provenance of brick oven goodness that would be at home in berkeley.

great atmosphere and delicious food. every time we go we are never disappointed. i would recommend it to anyone who loves pizza and has the time to sit down and enjoy it

disappointed. my husband and i wanted to eat here since we moved to johnson city a few months ago. finally we got the chance. the decor is great but it's dirty. at least 20 used pizza boxes were stacked up on the trash can behind our table. we came for lunch and were the only people in there so i can only assume they were from the night before. we got the pesto cheese sticks and the pesto was nothing special. the cups of pesto we got to dip had nothing but oil with maybe a sprig of basil at the bottom of the cup. the pizza came out and was decent but not great. we wanted to love this place but unfortunately it was a miss for us.

atmosphere is great but pizza was greasy and sauce too sweet. brick oven should mean some crisp to the crust but it was poor.

unique. the food was excellent. my only hangup was that they had no speciality pizzas of their own. the atmosphere was awesome. it was a little pricey, but huge pizzas and they sell em in a box all ready to take home. worth trying.
