wonderful artisan pizza in a relaxed down home atmosphere. the restaurant has a decent vinyl collection so there's always good music to listen to while chowing down and if things weren't chill enough they have a byob policy.

my husband and i tried this after hearing about it for ever and ever. my husband is usually kind of picky and traditional with pizza, but he was feeling risky and, to my pleasure, agreed to the trust pizza (well, limited trust since neither of us like olives). boy, we weren't disappointed!!!!! the pizza was so flavorful and delicious, the toppings were loaded on, and we both adored the green curry sauce. we both agreed this was the best pizza we had ever eaten. the prices are incredibly reasonable!!!!! scratch is now our go to place for pizza!!!

dont get it delivered, go there and enjoy it. if you want the authentic scratch experience go there after a long hike on the at, try to work up a huge hunger, and thirst. on your way there pick up a bottle of wine, or a pack of beer. if you order in you don't need to wait too long, i usually wait about 20 minutes, like any other joint. just chill, jam out, and gulp down some refreshments. the pizza will come out piping hot. this is not a delivery joint, so don't expect there delivery style to be as good. just go there dude!

best bang for you buck. all u want on 16 inch crust for under 20 bucks. very good menu and specials.

amazing. the trust pizza is an experience and the staff is friendly. i know people who drive miles out of their way to eat here. there really isn't another pizza like it.

love this place!!! if your looking for run of the "meal" pizza this isn't your place, but if your looking for outstanding food, terrific atmosphere, and quirky but awesome staff this is for you!!! you don't just eat at scratch you experience scratch!! just go in and order the "trust" pizza, sit back and relax to the sounds of vinyl being spun while you await the arrival of your brick oven piece of art!! enjoy!!

scratch brick is raved about for quality and taste. we had some "stopover" friends for florida. we ordered from scratch brick through some service they are connected to on the internet. the menu was limited but we did get what all felt inclined to eat. after waiting for over an hour, the delivery came--cold, burnt pizza crust and what was not burnt was soggy. our guests insisted on paying, as we had really bragged about scratch. i think it was the most dissatisfied we've ever been with how a pizza is cooked and delivered. this happened over a year ago and we're still "burnt" from this episode. and, our order was over $50 so not cheap. somebody needs to convince me to try again and perhaps write a more favorable review. we should have called and sent it back but not so easy on a delivery. we were starving.

best pizza in jc. this is easily my favorite pizza place in johnson city, and certainly ranks among my favorites overall (which says a lot coming from someone that has had their fair share of pizza in ny/chicago/italy). the service is not the most prompt, but the atmosphere is relaxing and enjoyable which makes up for it... with quite an eclectic collection of music to choose from too. don't pass up on the curry sauce or the chorizo!

wow. i went there on a date and it was fantastic!! its relaxed totallly byob and fantastic.the people are nice its so unique and quant i just lived it.llthen the pizza was fanominal..ive never thought of apples on pizza but now i think bout it all the time!!!! :p

success is going to their head, and away from service.... i called in an order for a trust pizza, and i was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. i arrived 35 minutes later and, after an additional 30 minute wait, finally got my order. i would have at least thought that i would get an apology for my wait when i paid, but nose-ring girl just walked away silent, even after i said "thank you"!

the next time i call in an order, the least you could do is tell me the truth...that is, if there really is a next time! i guess i'm not hipster enough...

pizza?. this is a kitschy little pizza place that one so badly wants to like. despite the great ambience, the pizza did not live up to the hype. consider me a traditional pizza enthusiast and this pizza is anything but traditional. it was drenched in sauce, and the cheese was not completely cooked. the pizza itself was cut into an obnoxious tile pattern, leaving many pieces without an edge and less cooked. to top it off, the "peperone," as it is described in the menu, needed to be scraped off the top of the pizza to make it tolerable, yet still barely edible. organic or vegetarian is wonderful, but pizza should still taste like pizza.

wow! new food!. this pizza falls into a new food group. it's so fresh! delicious! super nice people work there. unconventional hippie vibe. i like unconventional. great pizza.....i'm hooked!

gotta try it!!!. admittedly i am a pizza snob. so it took me a while to get to scratch to have a pizza. omg i could kick myself for waiting so long. i could have been eating great pizza all this time. the food was fantastic. the service, friendly and polite. the home made meats are something to behold, adding a wonderful flavor to an already outstanding pizza. bravo scratch, you have made a believer out of me.
