go to favorite. ramsi's has and interesting menu that is vegetarian friendly. the food is consistently good and the waitstaff and bartenders are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. there is a good beer and bourbon selection. we always have a pleasant time here.

on the topic of brunch. i have reviewed this place before, but this brunch they serve is a different beast. it is so fun and yummy to go there for brunch! we have been twice and really enjoyed it both times. there are just so many choices on the buffet, and the omelet bar is just icing on the cake! and a whole dessert table?!?! stop it! now you are just bragging. if you want to stuff yourself with the most varied brunch buffet i've seen for under $15 then treat yourself to ramsi's.

another one of those places with huge potential.... i have read and agree with so many of the other reviews about this place. it has some really intriguing and awesome sounding entrees. however, it is my experience that with a very large and varied menu, there are always consistency issues, and ramsi's menu is no exception.
i think we got lucky with our server, danielle, who was so sweet and very competent. we had the mezze plate as an appetizer, which had some redeeming points, like homemade roasted tomatoes and good feta cheese, but both the hummus and baba ganoush were bland and we had to 'doctor' them with the lemon from my water and salt. the pitas were straight off the grocery shelf, a little stale, and they were not even warm. still, all in all, not bad.
for dinner, my husband ordered the shrimp piccata, which had some of the largest prawns we have ever seen, and they were cooked perfectly. as for the angel hair pasta and piccata sauce, i cannot be as kind. the pasta was overcooked and somewhat mushy and the sauce suffered from the same issues as the above dips; it was so bland that we again added our lemon and salt. i ordered the beef tournados, which are basically small filets of beef. they were good sized, well seasoned, and again, cooked perfectly. absolutely fantastic. the z-potatoes were great. as for the seemingly frozen veg dish that is served with a large portion of the entrees on the menu, it is a good mix of colorful veg that is healthy and well prepared, but nothing to brag about.
for dessert we had the chocolate bourbon creme brulee. it had the thickest sugar coating on it that either one of us had ever experienced. i don't even know how they managed to get it that thick without burning it-- i think they might have actually layered it. it took some work to crack through the thick candy shell, but the creme brulee was good once we got to it.
my over all judgement on the place is about a 6 out of 10. we had a groupon, which certainly helped us feel like we hadn't spent too much on the meal, but i don't know if we would go back for dinner there without it. we might do wine and appetizers late night, as they have a ton of appetizers to try and a $10 bottle special past 10:00.

wonderful menu. absolutely delicious. i ordered the creole and was very happy with my order. the menu is very diverse and the dietary choices are wonderful. i have celiac's and ramsi's designates which of their entrees is, or can be, prepared gluten-free. i was very very pleased with my experience. the wait staff was wonderful and the clientele was diverse and eclectic, which i loved.

nice restaurant. i've been there a few times and had a different dish every time. and we always liked it. i just don't like it that it's so busy on the weekends, lol... crab cakes are good, but the waiters seem a little shabbily dressed, i don't know, didn't bother me too much, just looked weird.

ramsi’s is best in the warmer months, when you can sit on the terrace with a good glass of white wine and a plate of hummus or dates and talk with your friends. it’s comfortable without being too homey, innovative without getting weird, hip without being hipster.

seriously, one of the best in town!. i adore this place! i simple cannot say it enough, the menu is huge but every dish is delicious and well thought-out! the pollo nuevo havana (made with fish instead of chicken, but both are amazing) and the egyptian kitchen are some of my all time favorites. the drink menu is always great and inspired, with an extensive beer and wine list as well. i always love taking groups of people here, because no matter what your culinary preferences...ramsi's will leave you delighted! oh, call ahead on friday and saturday nights for quicker seating.

had sunday brunch at ramsi's. eat in the open air courtyard and it was very pleasant. great array of breakfast delights but eggs benedict are really great. also lots of fresh fruit, homemade yogart and deserts

unpleased. too many entrees and the staff is unaware of the taste of the food. was recommended a dish that tasted literally like soap. have been several times. all were very bad. the theme is a good idea, to explore the various tastes of the world, but i think they have overshot and created an uncontrollable menu which is the main problem. will not return.

used be great, what happened?. ramsi's used to be a great place to eat, and the food was always tasty. sadly, the last 3 times i have been there my food has been less then mediocre and on my last visit it was just plain bad. (menu item - moussa khan)

at first i thought it was just me, but even my fiance' has complained about the food the last couple times, and some of my co-workers have all said the same thing. its a shame because this place used to be a staple for bardstown road dinning, but i just can't recommend it anymore. what happened?

ramsi's has gone down hill. it pains me to say this, because ramsi's was one of my favorite places 5 years ago. i went this weekend after they promoted an awesome deal on groupons.
my husband got the ribs and i got the duck mole with a side of black beans. his ribs came out and they were cold, so was all of my food. my mole tasted nothing like mole (i think maybe it was 40 ingredients short of that!) plus my duck was swimming in a bowl of oil.
i wish i would had taken a picture now to show that it was literally swimming in oil.
it was so bad that i actually returned it, which is something i never do.
so i decided to get what was my favorite dish years ago, the east meets west fajitas.
i waited and waited, after my husband was finished with his food, my food arrived.
my fajitas were also swimming in oil. the meat tasted and was tough like a cheap stew meat and had zero flavor. flank steak is not that much more expensive people!
some anniversary dinner that was...i won't be back...

for great mole i suggest going to the mayan cafe! the chef there is great and uses fresh ingredients!

food good, service not so much. we love the food at ramsi's - particularly the shrimp & chicken paella - but the service is often lackluster.
