good casual dining. otto's is a good local dining establishment (victor) that delivers decent food at a decent price. atmosphere is a bit eclectic and a bit cramped.servicewas outstanding. the owners are very involved and care about the food and the diners experience. otto's was recommended to us and the individual may have oversold it, however, otto's was a positive experience. 3 out of 5 stars.

kids loved it. we came with extended family on a rainy weeknight and were glad to have made reservations. the place was busy, but our table was ready. theservicewas friendly and efficient. it is a very small place, but not overly noisy as it can be in that size dining room. there seemed to be a lot of regular customers around which gave the room an air of comfortable familiarity. fresh bread and butter was served. the butter had been mixed with garlic powder i think though and tasted a bit artificial, but the bread was very good. we all got salads, and i did not like the apple poppy dressing which was cloyingly sweet and thick. i think the ratio of acid was off. the balsamic i tasted on my daughter's salad was great though. four of the six of us loved dinner. the young kids had spaghetti and meatballs and an adult order of chicken french. they both ate everything on their plates. the cavittelli with sausage was enjoyed, as was the fettucine with marinara. the veggie pasta had good flavor, but the outer layers of red onion were used and were not appealing, and the carrots had not been peeled. the vegetables seemed to have a very rough chop and looked almost as if they were the leftovers from afternoon prep. overall, it was a decent dinner but i don't think i'd drive from the other side of town for a visit.

stay for the soup, leave for the entree

the soup was outstanding - tomato basil and otto's onion. the entree was brutal. the eggplant parm tasted like it had been dropped into a deep fryer so it was more like fried fish. the red sauce was very sweet and there was not enough of it. theservicewas really excellent so that alone could make me try again...but probably not.

the wife and i decided to go to otto tomotto's on a sunday night when our favorite italian place is unfortunately closed. i was really excited based on the good reviews of both theserviceand food. unfortunately, while theservicewas pretty good, the good was about as good as olive garden. i ordered chicken parm which was lukewarm and appeared to have been sitting in a warming dish and thrown on some very average spaghetti. totally underwhelmed. chicken parm should be hot and crispy not soggy, over poked and barely warm. my wife ordered something that i can't remember, but she was pretty sure it wasn't what she ordered. it was a chicken dish that was swimming in sauce (not in a good way) and was topped with some giant and confusing fried spaghetti thing. anyway, to sum it up,servicewas good, food was pretty bad. if you like really good italian food and don't consider olive garden "good" than i would steer clear of otto tomotto's.

best in town. we just had our first experience there. i must say it was fantastic. the place is small, so expect it to be crowded. get there early or make a reservation.
you get hit in the face with good smells as soon as you walk in, like your waiting for sunday dinner to be ready.
we had the fired calamari and otto chips for appetizers. both were fantastic. the otto chips are listed as italian nachos........i gotta learn how to make these., they would rock at a party. homemade potato chips, smothered in alfredo sauce, bacon, kalamata olives and green onions with roasted red peppers.
i had seafood tomotto fra diavlo which came with giant tender scallops, my wife had the tortellini pomodoro. i snuck a bite of hers and it was great.
theservicewas really fast. the servers and bus people never go anywhere with empty hands and that is great. it really helps them turn over tables, but it also means we didn't have to wait for anything.
the bill came, and for two entrees, two appetizers, and two glasses of ruffino, we were still under seventy bucks. i was very pleased.
we will surely be eating here in the future, and they even have take out.

say hi to mama when you are there. she was everywhere, making sure everything is as it should be.

for my 40th birthday dinner i chose otto tomotto's so you know it must be good. the food is awesome - they have a ton to choose from and everything is great. i had the chicken and shrimp diablo and really enjoyed it. and then for dessert you must try the italian "twinkies"! theserviceis always top notch and when mama comes around and asks how everything is it's a nice touch.

not much to complain about!. i made a 6 o'clock reservation. we arrived 5 minutes early and were seated fairly quickly. the dining room is quite small, the help was courteous. i believe the chef's mother is the main presence in the dining room - she is on the ball and attentive. theservicewas quick, drinks were quickly served and our server was friendly. the four of us ordered the seafood medley, lasagna, haddock bruschetta and the seafood cream pesto dish. i also ordered the calamari as a appetizer. the calamari came out quickly and was a very large portion for the 7.95 price. it was served with marinara and a poppyseed sauce. i've never had calamari with poppyseed dressing, but it was good. i would love to see that poppyseed dressing with a bit of spice, maybe some cayenne in it or horseradish (as a option since not everyone likes spicy) the size of the marinara could have been bigger. the calamari was sliced tubes only and was cooked well, although it could have been a bit crispier. he may make them himself as they were very tender and you usually get more rubbery calamari with frozen. overall it was tasty! next the salads. i really like a restaurant that takes pride in their salads, it says a lot about the chef. the salads were of good size, had what looked like homemade croutons, nice tomato slices and olives. i do have one complaint. the greens where a tad wilted and room temp. i assume they have been sitting outside of the cooler for some time. one of our party members ordered the french onion soup. it was not your "normal" french onion, which was actually refreshing. the portion size was perfect, broth was flavorful and not overly salty. there was a couple small pieces of bread and some grated parm or romano cheese over it. it could have been melted a bit more, but it was easier to eat than your normal french onion that has gobs of melted cheese. the dinners were of good portion, i had the seafood pesto cream sauce with pasta. the seafood was cooked well, the scallops and shrimp were tender, the pesto cream sauce was flavorful and seasoned perfectly. the pasta was cooked perfect. the lasagna was nice sized with plenty of meat and sauce, the haddock bruschetta was great! nice big piece of haddock - flavors were good! seafood medley was great too, generous portions of seafood. the two dishes that had pasta were big enough where we had enough for another meal! overall? i'll go back!! the bill was under a hundred dollars for the four of us, dinners a app and 4 glasses of wine. love the prices! i think due to his low overhead/small dining room he can afford to serve awesome food in nice portions for less. i have seen many restaurants decide that want to grow and want a bigger place and in most cases i have seen the food suffer due to this (portion/quality/price) - i hope the chef continues to keep this in mind, because he has a winning combination right now. definitely call for a reservation!

yum!. we went to otto tomotto's for the first time last night, and loved it! we got there around 5:30 on a friday evening, and the place was packed. we were told that we would be seated by 6:30, but actually got seated by 6. while we were waiting, we saw many people come and go with their take-out...one way to handle a busy restaurant!servicewas very quick, with menus as soon as we sat down, salads within a few minutes of ordering, and our dinners out in a timely manner. our food was great--i got the seafood pesto, which i loved, and my husband really liked his lasagna--especially the house red sauce that came with it. we'll be back--hopefully we'll save room to try a twinky next time.

great little italian restaurant that is very cozy. we were seated right away, but you may want a reservation, because it's a small place and seems to fill up fast for dinner. they start you off with their warm bread, which is great and comes with a nice garlic butter.servicewas very fast and we got our salads fast. the salads were good, with great homemade croutons. as soon as we were finished our meals came. huge portions, so plan on lunch or dinner for the next day too. their chicken parm, and the sauce that goes with it were great. very warm and friendly atmosphere, with the owner constantly visible and asking if their's anything anyone needs. will definitely be returning.

delish italian food and more. love it!! a gem in victor, ny - the food, serviceand the owner tim and mamma are fabulous. i've tried so many different menu items, but always opt for the steak, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of herb seasoning, with the best smashed potatoes anywhere. tonight i started with calamari as an appetizer and it was amazing - perfectly tender and lightly breaded, now it will make choosing a starter even more difficult, i love the goat cheese app, the eggplant and the crab cakes. wish i had saved room for an italian twinkie - oh well, next time.....gotta try it

what a find!!. our family just ate at otto tomotto's for the first time & we already can't wait to go back. everything was fabulous. from our appetizer of fried calamari, which were clearly made fresh & not frozen to our entrees & desserts. the desserts were their own creation called twinky's (no, not your twinkies from childhood)--a fried italian bread with cinnamon & sugar (like a fried dough) filled with buttercreme. we tried the classic and also a chocolate one & both were so decadent & delicious. our kids are very picky eaters & they loved everything they ate. i was also very impressed with the service. when we went every table was filled yet ourservicewas great. our waitress was very attentive and the owner's mother came over to our table several times to chat with us--even my kids mentioned how they liked talking to her & how nice everyone was. i love the family atmosphere & what a refreshing feeling to not eat at a chain restaurant. you can taste the passion that goes into the food. my son already stated he wants to go back as his special birthday dinner and i will be dreaming of those desserts tonight. what a great find!!!
