good casual dining. otto's is agoodlocal dining establishment (victor) that delivers decent food at a decent price. atmosphere is a bit eclectic and a bit cramped. service was outstanding. the owners are very involved and care about the food and the diners experience. otto's was recommended to us and the individual may have oversold it, however, otto's was a positive experience. 3 out of 5 stars.

i have been going to this place for over ten years (off and on). sometimes their food is verygoodbut other times is very disappointing. for example, steak burned and dry when i requested medium rare or my wife had a eggplant parm but with almost no sauce. both of our meals were awful and dry. i'm so sick with their quality of food inconsistency (eithergoodor awful) that we will stop giving them chances. is too bad really, we thought they were getting better. i took pictures of my super burned steak and my wife's terrible dry egg parm---not a pretty picture.

kids loved it. we came with extended family on a rainy weeknight and were glad to have made reservations. the place was busy, but our table was ready. the service was friendly and efficient. it is a very small place, but not overly noisy as it can be in that size dining room. there seemed to be a lot of regular customers around which gave the room an air of comfortable familiarity. fresh bread and butter was served. the butter had been mixed with garlic powder i think though and tasted a bit artificial, but the bread was very good. we all got salads, and i did not like the apple poppy dressing which was cloyingly sweet and thick. i think the ratio of acid was off. the balsamic i tasted on my daughter's salad was great though. four of the six of us loved dinner. the young kids had spaghetti and meatballs and an adult order of chicken french. they both ate everything on their plates. the cavittelli with sausage was enjoyed, as was the fettucine with marinara. the veggie pasta hadgoodflavor, but the outer layers of red onion were used and were not appealing, and the carrots had not been peeled. the vegetables seemed to have a very rough chop and looked almost as if they were the leftovers from afternoon prep. overall, it was a decent dinner but i don't think i'd drive from the other side of town for a visit.

amazing!!!. it was our second time visiting otto tamatto's. we went aug 23rd for our 26th anniversary( which is the 22nd) we are always greeted with such a warm welcome. we even got to see mama, as she made her way around, asking how everything was. i felt like i was in a big family dining room. we started with soup for myself. and salad for my husband. my soup was a creamy tomato clam soup. i'm sorry can't remember the exact name. i just know, i couldn't eat it fast enough, it was so darn good. then i got the special with penne pasta, sausage, chicken and beacon, peas and greens with tomato sauce, and melted goat cheese. omg... it was so yummy and such a large portion. i could not finish all of it. my hubby had the lasagna and meatballs. and he too was a happy man. we ended up taking their amazing dessert home. a trio of cinnamon sugar deep fried bread, one filled with choc, one vanilla and the other strawberry. i could go on about about this place, lol.. but i'll just say this, if you like italian andgoodportions, otto tomattao's is the place. great food, great people. and thank you to our waitress erika, for being so nice. when we walked out, everyone wished us agoodnight. i told my husband when we leave the restaurant, i always feel like i just left my italian family home after a great dinner. that's how nice everyone is there. thanks otto tamato's we'll be back again. maybe next time we'll try lunch. :)

great !. i've eaten in italian restaurants the world over and this is comparable to any great dining establishment. i think those who had unfortunate experiences at otto's need to give it a second try. we find it to begoodquality, very friendly and attentive staff and reasonably priced. i also like to patronize local business , rather than chain restaurants, and otto tomotto is a great local place to dine.

the wife and i decided to go to otto tomotto's on a sunday night when our favorite italian place is unfortunately closed. i was really excited based on thegoodreviews of both the service and food. unfortunately, while the service was pretty good, thegoodwas about asgoodas olive garden. i ordered chicken parm which was lukewarm and appeared to have been sitting in a warming dish and thrown on some very average spaghetti. totally underwhelmed. chicken parm should be hot and crispy not soggy, over poked and barely warm. my wife ordered something that i can't remember, but she was pretty sure it wasn't what she ordered. it was a chicken dish that was swimming in sauce (not in agoodway) and was topped with some giant and confusing fried spaghetti thing. anyway, to sum it up, service was good, food was pretty bad. if you like reallygooditalian food and don't consider olive garden "good" than i would steer clear of otto tomotto's.

best in town. we just had our first experience there. i must say it was fantastic. the place is small, so expect it to be crowded. get there early or make a reservation.
you get hit in the face withgoodsmells as soon as you walk in, like your waiting for sunday dinner to be ready.
we had the fired calamari and otto chips for appetizers. both were fantastic. the otto chips are listed as italian nachos........i gotta learn how to make these., they would rock at a party. homemade potato chips, smothered in alfredo sauce, bacon, kalamata olives and green onions with roasted red peppers.
i had seafood tomotto fra diavlo which came with giant tender scallops, my wife had the tortellini pomodoro. i snuck a bite of hers and it was great.
the service was really fast. the servers and bus people never go anywhere with empty hands and that is great. it really helps them turn over tables, but it also means we didn't have to wait for anything.
the bill came, and for two entrees, two appetizers, and two glasses of ruffino, we were still under seventy bucks. i was very pleased.
we will surely be eating here in the future, and they even have take out.

say hi to mama when you are there. she was everywhere, making sure everything is as it should be.

not much to complain about!. i made a 6 o'clock reservation. we arrived 5 minutes early and were seated fairly quickly. the dining room is quite small, the help was courteous. i believe the chef's mother is the main presence in the dining room - she is on the ball and attentive. the service was quick, drinks were quickly served and our server was friendly. the four of us ordered the seafood medley, lasagna, haddock bruschetta and the seafood cream pesto dish. i also ordered the calamari as a appetizer. the calamari came out quickly and was a very large portion for the 7.95 price. it was served with marinara and a poppyseed sauce. i've never had calamari with poppyseed dressing, but it was good. i would love to see that poppyseed dressing with a bit of spice, maybe some cayenne in it or horseradish (as a option since not everyone likes spicy) the size of the marinara could have been bigger. the calamari was sliced tubes only and was cooked well, although it could have been a bit crispier. he may make them himself as they were very tender and you usually get more rubbery calamari with frozen. overall it was tasty! next the salads. i really like a restaurant that takes pride in their salads, it says a lot about the chef. the salads were ofgoodsize, had what looked like homemade croutons, nice tomato slices and olives. i do have one complaint. the greens where a tad wilted and room temp. i assume they have been sitting outside of the cooler for some time. one of our party members ordered the french onion soup. it was not your "normal" french onion, which was actually refreshing. the portion size was perfect, broth was flavorful and not overly salty. there was a couple small pieces of bread and some grated parm or romano cheese over it. it could have been melted a bit more, but it was easier to eat than your normal french onion that has gobs of melted cheese. the dinners were ofgoodportion, i had the seafood pesto cream sauce with pasta. the seafood was cooked well, the scallops and shrimp were tender, the pesto cream sauce was flavorful and seasoned perfectly. the pasta was cooked perfect. the lasagna was nice sized with plenty of meat and sauce, the haddock bruschetta was great! nice big piece of haddock - flavors were good! seafood medley was great too, generous portions of seafood. the two dishes that had pasta were big enough where we had enough for another meal! overall? i'll go back!! the bill was under a hundred dollars for the four of us, dinners a app and 4 glasses of wine. love the prices! i think due to his low overhead/small dining room he can afford to serve awesome food in nice portions for less. i have seen many restaurants decide that want to grow and want a bigger place and in most cases i have seen the food suffer due to this (portion/quality/price) - i hope the chef continues to keep this in mind, because he has a winning combination right now. definitely call for a reservation!

wonderful!!!. we have been to otto tomato's about 4 times....tonight (a saturday) was our first weekend visit. while we were unprepared for the amount of people waiting to be seated, we knew howgoodthe food/service has been, so we decided to wait. we had reservations for 7:30 p.m. and were told they were running late. anticipating a long wait, we were pleasantly surprised that the wait was only 10 or 15 mins. we were seated at a table in a very close corner. my husband was very uncomfortable. he asked our waitress if there was a chance for us to move to another table, and his request was immediately granted, even though the restaurant was full. we were very impressed with the courtesy shown to us on such a busy night. as before, our dinners were prepared as requested, were absolutly wonderful, and our server was knowledgeable and friendly.goodservice, goodfood, wonderful wines = a great dining experience!! i am so glad we stopped in at otto tomato's on the spur of the moment a month ago because we found a wonderful place to dine!! thank you tim, his mom and dad and the wonderful staff!!

that'sgoodservice, and i appreciated that. this is one of those places i'd go back to, but probably not for the pizza. i am kind of curious about their regular pizza crust, but there are other things on the menu i'd like to try, and overall i was well pleased with the restaurant. this pizza was so different from conventional pizza - and it was pretty accurately described on the menu - that i don't think it would be fair to rate it. i will say that it's not a bad option, but there are other items on the menu that i'd probably opt for next time.

delish!!!. went on a saturday night, should have had reservations, but didn't so we sat at the bar - the food smelled sogoodand we received lots of attention from the staff, including the chef. everything was wonderful, the sauce is so fresh tasting, with lots of depth and flavor. we loved the meatballs, they were the size of softballs, huge and loaded with garlic. i can't wait to go back and try out the other menu items. we just loved it!!!
