we visited on a saturday night following a recommendation from our hotel. we were seated promptly (tables quite close to each other) and the restaurant filled up by around 9.30pm. service was speedy - a little more speedy than we expected - before we agreed that we wanted bottled still water, it was already opened and one glass was filled. there was no food menu presented - only a wine list (average price for a glass was tl25).
we liked the roaming cold appetisers (around tl10) - cubed eggplant with crushed tomato, yogurts (plain or with parsley), artichoke, salads, eggplant dip, hommus - served with piping hot breads (tl4 per person), the kebabs - chicken and beef were tender, perfectly cooked and well seasoned (around tl35 each). there was a nice atmosphere with the hustle and bustle and organised chaotic environment as we watched food being served all over the restaurant.
we would have preferred if the waiters were not so rushed to take our order and take away our plates - it felt a little like we were being rushed. we recommend you check your bill as we were charged for appetisers that only one of us ate (when we pointed this it wasn't removed from the bill - i suspect it was a language barrier rather than trying to rip us off). our total bill for 2 persons was tl150 (2 cold appetisers, 2 bite sized pides - even though we only ate one, 2 kebabs, 1 water and 1 wine).
overall good dining experience with well cooked food but i'm not sure if it's value for money.
