(i'd have probably gone with a 3.5, but zomato have, for reasons i can't explain) removed that option.
i can't complain about the food but i probably could have done without the wanky explanation about whether the restaurant is "viking themed" or "viking inspired" at the beginning though (i actually can't recall which one it was because i didn't care). fairly pricey, but i guess them's the breaks.
we went with the chicken (whole) and the beef short-rib with potatoes for mains.
chicken was nicely cooked but without a huge amount of flavour beyond "chicken". the short rib was beautifully cooked and excellent (not many places do a good beef rib). potatoes were served with a cheese-based sauce and were servicable.
i feel like the meats could do with a little more accompaniment on the plates; the few pieces of lettuce strewn about the chicken and the (admittedly tasty) charred sprouts that came with the beef probably could have done with some help.
dessert was a fairly plain custard tart and the bombe alaska.
the tart was of good consistency with a nice firm base but there wasn't much to write home about. the bombe alaska (mandarin-based) was pretty tasty, even if the attempt to set it alight and "leave it to char for a bit" failed miserably.
if you're after a solid, slightly over-priced meal, with a massive amount of alcohol options and a bunch of norse-themed paraphernaila around, go for it.
