shame that neiuw amsterdam closed down but this is a treat place too. can border a bit gimmicky but the excellent service andfoodmakes it all worthwhile.

love this place! took my mum here as a surprise as she loves anything viking, and we were both blown away! the service, the decor and thefoodwere amazing. this could have been tacky, but it worked really well. i will be back to taste more from the impressive drinks menu for sure!

from the outside in this alleyway, you might be mistaken in thinking its closed. as soon as you push that wooden door, the decor catches your eye.its all viking themed with shields, helmets, hammer and more all around you. the wait staff were very attentive and gave good suggestions. thefoodcame out and not only was it presented well, but it tasted amazing. i just had good envy everytime i saw the giant bone marrow come out.
great place for date nights or with friends. massive selection of cocktails.

fantastic experience overall - right from the ambience to the decor to the plating andfoodoptions. real vikings feel everywhere. the starters were to die for! we ordered the bone marrow and burrata and then drank whisky with the bone marrow - what a thrill! dinner was fish in chowder soup, steak and short rib. the short rib was outstanding however the fish was salty and the steak was a bit overdone. the only main complaint was the service - took forever to get menus and the drinks.
however, great experience overall, slightly pricey but definitely worth a visit at least once.

great place for a unique experience! (get the bone marrow and a beer you wont be dissapointed). everything was fantastic. but the only thing is you dont get what you pay for in terms offoodquality and quantity.

this place is legit. i’ve been once just to the bar and got the cheese platter and cocktails. scored a table for a christmas dinner which was so cool. so muchfoodto share. cocktails flowing. shots on fire. 🔥 don’t waste your money on the expensive alcohol - concentrate on the food!

love the concept here and you get to select your own weapon offooddestruction! will definitely come back as we want to try other dishes, the marrow was delicious !

i can't complain about thefoodbut i probably could have done without the wanky explanation about whether the restaurant is "viking themed" or "viking inspired" at the beginning though (i actually can't recall which one it was because i didn't care).  fairly pricey, but i guess them's the breaks.

we went with the chicken (whole) and the beef short-rib with potatoes for mains.

chicken was nicely cooked but without a huge amount of flavour beyond "chicken". the short rib was beautifully cooked and excellent (not many places do a good beef rib).  potatoes were served with a cheese-based sauce and were servicable.

i feel like the meats could do with a little more accompaniment on the plates; the few pieces of lettuce strewn about the chicken and the (admittedly tasty) charred sprouts that came with the beef probably could have done with some help.

dessert was a fairly plain custard tart and the bombe alaska.

the tart was of good consistency with a nice firm base but there wasn't much to write home about.  the bombe alaska (mandarin-based) was pretty tasty, even if the attempt to set it alight and "leave it to char for a bit" failed miserably.

if you're after a solid, slightly over-priced meal, with a massive amount of alcohol options and a bunch of norse-themed paraphernaila around, go for it.

what a fantastic experience, i can't believe i didn't visit mjolner earlier. thefoodand drinks are absolutely top notch, highly recomend the gravlax which is out of this world delicious. the staff also get a 10/10 for service, extremely knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. 100% will be back again....and again......and again!!

one of the best restaurants in sydney! thefoodwas amazing and the service was amazing too! the atmosphere was perfect for that viking vibes and honestly! would 100% recommend for everyone to come here! loved every minute

nice interior and atmosphere. good service. everything was good but thefood. tasted so bland and the presentation was meh. you’re basically paying for the experience because thefoodwas very average and portions were small for that price. we were full at the end but unsatisfied due to underwhelming flavours. i personally wouldn’t come here again and wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here.

we were a group of 5 people, and we order the 90 dollars feed me menu. thefoodcomes in serves for 4, even small items like the crackers to go with the buratta cheese.foodwe reasonably ok but definately dont feel like it worth the money we pay. maybe if we do a la carte will feel a bit more worth it

food was very bland , needed to add salt on all the mains received . although a different experience catered with nice service , thefoodwas very underwhelming unfortunately.

vibe & service is excellent,foodis excellent, but felt some of the mains were overpriced, $75 wagu steak didn’t command the price.

we had a friend unable to attend dinner & we were charged a $50 fee, pretty disappointed given the restaurant want booked out or even busy

awesome viking themed restaurant. fun viking inspired service, greatfoodand even a pretty good vegetarian option. hated that we were a group of 3 and missed out the set menu. thefoodwas impressive!
