(i'd have probably gone with a 3.5, but zomato have, for reasons i can't explain) removed that option.
i can't complain about the food but i probably could have done without the wanky explanation about whether therestaurantis "viking themed" or "viking inspired" at the beginning though (i actually can't recall which one it was because i didn't care). fairly pricey, but i guess them's the breaks.
we went with the chicken (whole) and the beef short-rib with potatoes for mains.
chicken was nicely cooked but without a huge amount of flavour beyond "chicken". the short rib was beautifully cooked and excellent (not many places do a good beef rib). potatoes were served with a cheese-based sauce and were servicable.
i feel like the meats could do with a little more accompaniment on the plates; the few pieces of lettuce strewn about the chicken and the (admittedly tasty) charred sprouts that came with the beef probably could have done with some help.
dessert was a fairly plain custard tart and the bombe alaska.
the tart was of good consistency with a nice firm base but there wasn't much to write home about. the bombe alaska (mandarin-based) was pretty tasty, even if the attempt to set it alight and "leave it to char for a bit" failed miserably.
if you're after a solid, slightly over-priced meal, with a massive amount of alcohol options and a bunch of norse-themed paraphernaila around, go for it.
