life is good korean bbq

tonight my boyfriend and i came here for dinner. this was our first time trying korean food. we asked the staff about getting one dish that we saw here on their zomato page, however they no longer make that dish. we then asked what they would recommend, and ended up ordering the spicy chicken and the pork kimchi. the food was very hot when it came to the table- bubbling actually. we were excited to try the food. the spicy chicken was a little spicy, i wouldn’t say it was a spice level 3 like the menu states. the pork was good, but all i could taste was the kimchi. we aren’t sure if this is how the food was supposed to taste, as we have nothing to compare it to and it was not at all what i expected. we didn’t like the fact that therestaurantwas empty, and when a couple came in they sat them right beside us. overall therestaurantis nice inside and the service is good.

delicious food. went for lunch and had the bulgogi stew, dumpling bibimbap, and l.a. steak between everyone. all items were delicious (loved the dumplings and bbq especially!) and good value for the meal.restaurantwas good, and love the decor.

better than awesome!. food was amazing, service was great,restaurantis nice, and free ice-cream for dessert! i will definitely be visiting again.

very impressed with lig. came into therestaurantwith all the negative reviews from urbanspoon in mind, but was completely blown away with the service, presentation, food and atmosphere.

service was quick and on point, evident that the girls working there wanted you to enjoy your food. they were helpful, though there w a language barrier, body language speaks most loudly as they were friendly and smiley throughout our whole meal. food came quick, we were eating within 12 minutes of sitting down. the food came beautifully placed in clean modern dishes, which made it appealing to the eye and tastebuds weredefinitely pleased!!

overall, very impressed and will definitely come back. if price were an issue, i would not recommend this place to you. but remember, you get what you pay for. i think paying an extra dollar for the cleanliness that lig offers in the dining area and bathroom is way worth it.

very friendly staff. yes there is a language problem but they work so hard to be helpful. food was way more than i could eat. great flavour. would recommend to anyone. not your usualrestaurantor menu.

exceptional describes everything about this restaurant... decor, menu, service, and attention to detail. annie and ron have done regina - particularly victoria avenue, a real favour opening theirrestaurantat this location.

great experience. i have no idea what it takes to make some fussy people happy. seems like only the squeaky wheels like to comment and vent. i have been there twice now with my goup of friends. we just went there on dec 8. our group of 6 absolutely loved the unique food. if you want cheeseburgers and fries then don't come here. if youre looking for a unique experience and taste true korean cuisine, then this is for you. we had the $30 dollar food special. it included some of the best smoked korean chicken i have ever tasted. i also truly enjoyed the pork/pad thai dish. it was truly amazing and delicious. service was excellent and the owner "annie" was an absolute treat. she came and spoke with us and even was there to see how we enjoyed the meal. as for service, it seems like they have shook the newrestauranthiccups because we had someone at our table every few minutes. i have nothing bad to say about this place and am looking forward to coming back to sample other unique dishes and new firsts. great for people and coulpes looking for something new and explore new tastes.

the worst experience in the city. i've never been so disappointed by arestaurantin regina. the time from having our order placed to food received was roughly two hours. the owners were visibly bickering, the service was terrible, and the food, in the end, arrived cold. i would never pay to go to thisrestaurantagain.

too much $ for too little. was there to see what the hype was all about. overall the decor is very nice but if you look closely it looks half assed/diy quality. as for the food, very disappointed. the portions are very small and not what i had expected. we ordered the $30 a person meals and were not full at all if it weren't for the dessert that came with the meal in the end. i had expected more traditional korean bbq foods for arestaurantthat has "korean bbq restaurant" written all over it. this place seems like a high class gimmick and caters to those that never been out of regina.
as for the service, don't even get me started.....

good food, horrible service.. i arrived at lig and was promptly surprised by the long line of people waiting to be seated. therestaurantseemed bumping and successful. we were sat almost immediately, which was strange with the long line of customers ahead of us. once we were sat, the menu was explained to us, and that was it for about 30 minutes. they had forgotten about us and in return brought us a spicy sea food tart of some sort. we ordered, and waited another hour before only half of our meal arrived. no meat was brought to us. i had to get up and walk to the back to ask where the rest of our meal was. we waited another 20 minutes until the rest of our meal came. the food was good, but the horrible service puts thisrestauranton the no go list for me. we did not receive a discount for the awful service, instead the owner gave us mugs... overall, the food was pretty authentic but it is so poorly ran that i will never go again.

ok........... we went here around quarter after 6 for supper. very beautiful place, nicely finished, bathrooms are nice... got the menu, and needed clarification on how to order. after 10 minutes, someone came to our table to take our order, but they had to get someone else to come and explain the menu since there was a language barrier. we ordered the 6 course supper... $27 bucks a person. steamed egg came out right away.... waited........waited......waited.... 7:15 we got a salad... no appetizer that comes with the meal, which was odd... 2 couples that came after us were already served their egg, salad, and appetizer ahead of us. got our main dish, got served it, and when a lady came around to show us what to do, we were missing a whole other dish that thankfully she realized, because we had no idea, but it does make a difference with the meal, however, there were not enough lettuce leaves for the order. the food was good, some weird items that i couldn't stomache, but the meat was good. we finished eating, our drinks long empty with no refills or new orders for drinks, and no dessert which we were waiting on...... after half an hour, 8:15, we got sick of waiting. 2 hours in arestaurantwhere the majority of the time was spent waiting, and going thirsty. it's pretty bad when 3 tables that arrived after us, got served and we never...... thankfully, they took half off the bill, but still when you are trying to communicate that the service was poor and we were forgotten about, the only english speaking gentleman at therestaurantsays "sorry" and walks away.......
