life is good korean bbq

food is okay but thisplaceis not a kid friendly resto! they just want my 3 y/o to stay in his chair! the guy even said if my 3 y/o won't behave, he might have to sit outside in the car on a cold winter night!!!! so disappointed and mad!!! he wasn't even loud or running... and he's only 3 yrs old!!!

i really love this place, call me bias if you want. i've been to some korean restaurants and have eaten homemade korean food before. i've been here twice and was never disappointed. theplaceis relaxing, colourful and clean. the ajumma who owned theplacewas very hospitable, polite and kind. she answers questions well if you are not very familiar with korean food as when i brought my friend there for lunch one time. food is very healthy and delicious as they focus on not adding any msg to any of their food. packaging is very unique and i love how staff is very agreeable.

only been their for lunch and definitely recommend this place! when my friend and i first arrived, the wholeplacewas empty so we were thought maybe it's not as good as we heard but we still gave it a try and glad we did cause it was so tasty!

there's not a lot of good korean restaurants in town, but this one is definitely a good one. the portion was good for what it costed. although we were the only ones there, i still enjoyed the atmosphere. my friend and i ordered the bibimbap and it was so delicious! highly recommend bibimbap for lunch!

good food and service. i had checked here for some info on what to expect or watch for on my first visit to lig. i think the management has been checking, too. attentive staff who greeted us right away, asked if it was our first time there, and then clearly explained the menu.
we had the dinner buffet and were glad we did. $21.99 got us a good mix of authentic korean dishes, 8 bbq options, as well as the salad bar. we arrived a little after 6 on a saturday night and within the half hour theplacewas packed.
i'll definitely be back for more.

i tried a korean bbqplacein vancouver and i loved it so i was excited when i came to lig for lunch today. unfortunately this was the worst experience i have had eating out in regina. we were there for the buffet and it was 12:30 and there was hardly any food and the food that was there was awful. we are still talking about how disgusting our lunch was and i'm sure this conversation will continue for a while. i hope we just caught them on a bad day but there is no chance i will be back. hopefully others have better luck!

beautiful, clean, great!. theplaceexceeded my expectations. it does not look like much from the outside but it is a beautiful, modern space inside. theplaceis hip, clean and the staff were terrific. they were extremely attentive and very pleasant. the level of cleanliness was impressive. the food was very good. i tried their noodle dish with beef as well as their rice dish served in hot stone. i recommend that you ask for reduced spicyness so that you can fully appreciate all of the flavours. the food came with a steamed egg appetizer which was very interesting and tasty. the dessert is a cinammon drink that can be served either hot or iced; i prefer the iced version. food can either be ordered ala carte or as a fixed price full meal (the full meal is meat that you select and cook on hot stone on the table) with side dish and appetizer that comes with it. generally, a very different concept for a restaurant. what makes it unique is the hip environment where the well prepared food is served. well done, owners and staff! keep up the good work, keep paying attention to detail and, if you continue like this,i will become a regular.

very impressed. i created an account just to make this review. i've long used urbanspoon, but never felt the need to review something before. suffice to say, i was very impressed with lig. an authentic korean experience in regina, with good food in a very nice setting.

i went with my partner, my mom and my in-laws, and we all liked our meals. we each got the "multi-course" meal, and each got a different main dish. i tried all of them except one, and they were all at least good, with 2 of the 4 i tried being exceptionally so.

the mixed rice (korean name is bibimbap) was fantastic, with just the right amount of spiciness to it. everybody at the table who got it was raving about it. the salad was fairly simple mixed salad with a very nice dressing, which appeared to be home-made. i had never had kiwi dressing before and it was delicious. my main was the spicy pork on a hot rock which was fantastic. the dessert was a cinnamon drink that was very strong and tasty. the only thing i wasn't a huge fan of was the soup, but i am not known to like things with cabbage in them, so that was to be expected.

meal came out to $30.44 after tax for each one of us. the portions were very generous and i was more than full (and i can eat, lol). would recommend thisplaceto anybody tired of "chain restaurants" and would like a unique dining experience in regina (which is a rare feat in this city). my partner and i were talking on the way home that this is aplacewe could take guests from out of town and it would be impressive. there are very few places in regina that you can "show off" to out of town guests, thisplaceis one of them.

keep driving. finally tried the korean bbqplacein regina. sadly cat food would had been better. debated going to mcdonalds when i was done to get the taste out of my mouth and have something to eat.

very impressed with lig. came into the restaurant with all the negative reviews from urbanspoon in mind, but was completely blown away with the service, presentation, food and atmosphere.

service was quick and on point, evident that the girls working there wanted you to enjoy your food. they were helpful, though there w a language barrier, body language speaks most loudly as they were friendly and smiley throughout our whole meal. food came quick, we were eating within 12 minutes of sitting down. the food came beautifully placed in clean modern dishes, which made it appealing to the eye and tastebuds weredefinitely pleased!!

overall, very impressed and will definitely come back. if price were an issue, i would not recommend thisplaceto you. but remember, you get what you pay for. i think paying an extra dollar for the cleanliness that lig offers in the dining area and bathroom is way worth it.

great experience. i have no idea what it takes to make some fussy people happy. seems like only the squeaky wheels like to comment and vent. i have been there twice now with my goup of friends. we just went there on dec 8. our group of 6 absolutely loved the unique food. if you want cheeseburgers and fries then don't come here. if youre looking for a unique experience and taste true korean cuisine, then this is for you. we had the $30 dollar food special. it included some of the best smoked korean chicken i have ever tasted. i also truly enjoyed the pork/pad thai dish. it was truly amazing and delicious. service was excellent and the owner "annie" was an absolute treat. she came and spoke with us and even was there to see how we enjoyed the meal. as for service, it seems like they have shook the new restaurant hiccups because we had someone at our table every few minutes. i have nothing bad to say about thisplaceand am looking forward to coming back to sample other unique dishes and new firsts. great for people and coulpes looking for something new and explore new tastes.

way too expensive!. wow this was a let down! we payed $70 for two people and a beverage! the food wasn't very good at all, the meat had very little flavour. you are supposed to wrap your meat in a piece of lettuce. the serving sizes are very small and the dessert is a cinnamon drink on ice. very strange, overpricedplaceand wouldn't go back there.

too much $ for too little. was there to see what the hype was all about. overall the decor is very nice but if you look closely it looks half assed/diy quality. as for the food, very disappointed. the portions are very small and not what i had expected. we ordered the $30 a person meals and were not full at all if it weren't for the dessert that came with the meal in the end. i had expected more traditional korean bbq foods for a restaurant that has "korean bbq restaurant" written all over it. thisplaceseems like a high class gimmick and caters to those that never been out of regina.
as for the service, don't even get me started.....
