life is good korean bbq

no food when near closing time.. we came here for mother's day after church so we arrived around 12:45. they mentioned buffets' only till 2 and if we're ok with that. we said it's fine there's still plenty of time. by the time we got seated (since there's 12 of us) that was roughly 1pm we went straight to the buffet but guess what.... there was barely any food! they said they will refill it so we waited! they just refilled the japchae... and rice.. the rest nada! the food they grilled was fine but you can only order 1 at a time which will take roughly 20 mins for them to serve what you ordered. moral lesson: don't go there when it's near closing time cause they will not have any food.

tonight my boyfriend and i came here for dinner. this was our first time trying korean food. we asked the staff about getting one dish that we saw here on their zomato page, however they no longer make that dish. we then asked what they would recommend, and ended up ordering the spicy chicken and the pork kimchi. the food was very hot when it came to the table- bubbling actually. we were excited to try the food. the spicy chicken was a little spicy, i wouldn’t say it was a spice level 3 like the menu states. the pork was good, but all i could taste was the kimchi. we aren’t sure if this is how the food was supposed to taste, as we have nothing to compare it to and it was not at all what i expected. we didn’t like the fact that the restaurant was empty, and when a couple came in they sat them right beside us. overall the restaurant is nice inside and the service is good.

went here for my birthday dinner with my bff's in november 2017 we had a great time!  the chef/owner came out to our table and helped us order from the menu and the food was fantastic!!! loved the bbq beef was fantastic as well as the cabbage and veggies along with it!!!

have eaten here a couple of times and neither time was i wowed by it. the decor is amazing; very modern, and the bathroom was so spotless you could eat in it. the staff tries their best to talk to you about the food and make suggestions if you are unsure about anything. both times i went they offered free ice cream for dessert as well, which was nice. unfortunately that is about where the pros end. the atmosphere was ruined by someone in the back yelling repeatedly at the staff for not working hard enough. i get that it's an issue for them, but it should be handled in private and not in earshot of customers. the food (i had a kimchi stew the first time and a bibimbap the second time) was lacking in the flavor i am used to in authentic korean food. even the chili sauce tasted much more mild and flavorless than the gochujang i use at home to make my own bibimbap, which sadly knocks this place's dish out of the park. furthermore, their kimchi seemed hardly flavored at all, and i asked for the spicy option. it was bland in comparison even to store bought kimchi. lastly they didn't offer any of the neat vegetable side dishes (banchan) that are typically served with korean main dishes. if you want amazing korean food in regina, korea house is still the best. it's out of the way and the decor is very lacking, but they make darn good food.

food is okay but this place is not a kid friendly resto! they just want my 3 y/o to stay in his chair! the guy even said if my 3 y/o won't behave, he might have to sit outside in the car on a cold winter night!!!! so disappointed and mad!!! he wasn't even loud or running... and he's only 3 yrs old!!!

we ordered four dishes and all of them were unique in flavour and delicious. the atmosphere was modern and the service was helpful and friendly. we're definitely coming back. great new find.

i really love this place, call me bias if you want. i've been to some korean restaurants and have eaten homemade korean food before. i've been here twice and was never disappointed. the place is relaxing, colourful and clean. the ajumma who owned the place was very hospitable, polite and kind. she answers questions well if you are not very familiar with korean food as when i brought my friend there for lunch one time. food is very healthy and delicious as they focus on not adding any msg to any of their food. packaging is very unique and i love how staff is very agreeable.

service was spectacular. food was delicious, the staff came out to help us order then brought a few things for us to try. at the end they came out to explain the food and it's health benifits. highly recommend! will definately eat here again.

delicious! fantastic food. very helpful staff for newbies at korean food. i understand they've gone through a few concept changes so older negative reviews may not be relevant? we loved every bite and great atmosphere.

kimchijigae. a delicious spicy dish made of kimchi and pork.

phenomenal!!!. absolutly loved it! staff was amazing, very helpful and friendly. you can really tell that the food was fresh!! staff informed me that all the dishes have no msg wich is a huge thing for me! plus their new "do it yourself at home" dishes are a fantastic idea, needless to say i bought lots! the atmosphere is stunning looks super classy with well priced food.

only been their for lunch and definitely recommend this place! when my friend and i first arrived, the whole place was empty so we were thought maybe it's not as good as we heard but we still gave it a try and glad we did cause it was so tasty!

there's not a lot of good korean restaurants in town, but this one is definitely a good one. the portion was good for what it costed. although we were the only ones there, i still enjoyed the atmosphere. my friend and i ordered the bibimbap and it was so delicious! highly recommend bibimbap for lunch!

delicious food. went for lunch and had the bulgogi stew, dumpling bibimbap, and l.a. steak between everyone. all items were delicious (loved the dumplings and bbq especially!) and good value for the meal. restaurant was good, and love the decor.

better than awesome!. food was amazing, service was great, restaurant is nice, and free ice-cream for dessert! i will definitely be visiting again.

much better than the first time i went which is about two years ago, when it first opened. back then, my one meal costed almost $20 with a lot of small dishes but the actual meal wasn't as good as i hoped but they changed. menu's smaller than i expected but it helps deciding. i had the bulgogi korean grill and i was expecting something like korea house where you grill it yourself but nope. grilled for you! it was $5.99 for the portion, i thought it wouldn't be enough even with rice but surprisingly it was the perfect amount! i was so full, and i had a free salad, ice cream and freezies! $10 under and i got so full, definitely didn't expect it.
