liberty market

something different and good. went there on a monday night with husband and another couple. this neighborhood in gilbert is what i would call "trendy". there are several different restaurants within a few blocks. most have outside seating. not a lot of over 60 folks but that's ok. food was very good but it is cafeteria style. wine and desserts were good too. prices are a bit high but you pay for theatmospherealong with tasty food. i would go back.

home made goodness. i went to liberty market with my family when we saw the line was out door at joe's real bbq across the street.

we were seated in about 5 minutes. my burger was excellent. cobb salad and chicken pasta were very good as well. dinner was so good i came right back for breakfast the next day.

the coffee andatmospherealone make it a great place for breakfast. biscuits and gravy were fresh and done properly. eggs cooked over easy just as ordered.

i would go back. theatmospherereminds me a cross between a gastropub and a high end cafeteria if there are any. i ordered the chicken sandwich and a slice of red velvet cake to go. the sandwich was good, nice sesame bun, moist chicken and creamy avocado. i didn't care for the cake, the cream cheese frosting was a little over powering the cake and the cake it self was dry, and the food was expensive. my husband had a the flank steak with chimichurri sauce that was ok nothing to write home about and also had a beer. total for 2 people 40$

i think "superb" might be going a bit far, but it's a cool place. groovyatmosphereand pretty good food. i wish the food were a bit better. i've eaten here twice and each time it was just 'ok'. be sure to check out the bathrooms.. very cool. :)

liberty market is a real jewel in downtown gilbert. somehow the quality of the food is much higher than other establishments, theatmosphereis more hip, and the day always improves with a visit. the upscale cafe atmosphere, flanked by a true espresso bar, shows off the building's history. meanwhile, the patrons show off gilbert's present, that is, young families and couples escaping those families for an evening out. there's something magical in the food, too. something that makes it taste better. i don't know what it is, but gilbert's future looks bright as long as it has restaurants like liberty market.

since it's opening this past october my wife and have been back many times and are continually amazed. breakfast or lunch/dinner this lovely spot has comforting food and filling portions.
for breakfast i must recommend the griddled bread pudding which is a tasty creation that will keep you from ordering french toast ever again. creamy custard flavour with mild spices and a wonderful mable syrup with a mild hint of coffee that makes it not too sweet and just the right partner to the bread pudding. i was enraptured and could barely finish since the portion is quite generous.
not in the mood for a full breakfast? how about a wonderful cinnimon roll made fresh and a bowl of hot chocolate? (also made fresh, no canned choclate here!) or a wonderful cup of coffee from their vintage coffee bar. either way you will be satisfied.
lunch and dinner feature salads or pressed sandwiches on freshly made bread and wonderful pizzas made for you in a wood fired oven. of the two pizzas i have tried, the white pizza and the molinari pizza, i have been unable to choose a favorite.
the service is spectacular with both the wait staff and the owners take the time to make sure your visit is the best one yet. i can barely tell you how much we enjoy this cafe, it is definately worth the trip to gilbert.
