lakeside tavern

i've been before and loved the food. this second time, however was terrible. our server tried, i'll give him that, but i had to send my food back twice because the steak was horrible and the salmon was charred black it was so burnt. finally they sent me home with a salmon that wasn't over cooked but just thrown in a box with no presentation whatsoever. the food runners are very rude. my boyfriend and i were still finishing our salads when our entrees were shoved in our faces. this inconsistency is sad and disappointing. i thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant before tonight. no one even came out to apologize for the ridiculouslybadfood i received this evening. the management obviously doesn't care about customer satisfaction.

great view of lake, yummy food. great apps, juicy steaks, fresh salads, delicious pasta. something for everyone. been here many times, never abadmeal, always speedy service. beautiful lake view! good with big groups or date night. love this place!

best of tennessee. this is an amazing place for brunch, lunch, or dinner. the service is great, the view beautiful, and the food is delicious. try the strawberry cake! i have never had abadexperience, and i visit at least once a week. love it!

sad service & mediocre food but great view of the lake!. it is a very nice location and the restaurant itself is very nice overlooking the lake. i live close by so it is convenient and i have been there many times with my family. sadly, the food is painfully mediocre and the majority of the wait staff are teenagers who are more interested in standing around the wait-stations texting on their cellphones, rather than providing adequate service to patrons who would gladly leave good tips, if the service reflects accordingly. sad that obviously the manager can't hire quality wait staff. i'm sure his choices are limited. that's one sad indication of our society in west knoxville. sadly a lot of people have abadimpression of west knoxville as consisting of snobs and young people who aren't raised with any manners. sadly lakeside tavern is an example of this.

lovely. apparently some people find it hit or miss, but i've never had abadexperience there. the fish is consistently delightful, and the fried green tomatoes and any desserts are absolutely to die for. my four-year-old nephew absolutely adores the chicken fingers, and they never have a problem giving him extra sauces. it's not for everyday eating, but provides a nice alternative to some of the more casual places in town.

love being here~!. i've been to lakeside tavern many times over the years and have always been very happy. i love the atmosphere, food and service. i was surprised to see so manybadcomments listed here but i guess the people that aren't happy tend to be quicker to complain rather then the people that are happy to compliment. so here's one to you, lakeside tavern! i think your resturant is wonderful! love your friday happy hours too!~

never had abadmeal here, it's our go-to place when we have friends & family in town. kids menu still sensibly priced (hope it stays that way!).
