it's a little bakery/cafe in mission right next to wurst.
pro: variety of menu
con:pastries
i was hoping i can find another bakery that serves good quality croissant, their croissant was just ok. it wasn't something i like such as light and airy layer inside, buttery and almost crunchy outside. their croissant wasn't buttery enough for me and a little bit dense side. it is just my preference and i'm pretty picky so i'd like to hear from other people about it!
also, i tried eclair as well. it was also ok. nothing spectacular, but decent.
i had their crepe too. it's also just ok. i paid extra for whip cream but it was one of those spray can cream. i can't believe they serve that quality cream even though they do make pastries(or maybe they don't make cream from scratch??). i know they use can because they forgot to put whip cream on mine and i brought my plate to them to get cream after. this kind of cream is only acceptable at stampede, not a cute little cafe like here, disappointing.
however, there are menus that i haven't try, they have soup, stew, other bread, etc. i do think the range of menu is really good their, if you like their baking it's a good place to come hang out. except, there are very omitted space to sit, the distance between table to aisle is very narrow. if you don't mind people always passing by, the cafe itself is cute!
overall, i'd chose side walk citizens for croissant, i'd chose shuzette bistro for crepe. i don't mind to come back for menu i haven't tried, but i wouldn't repeat things i already had.
