super yummy!. upon recommendation from a friend and after reading reviews of this site i decided to give korea house a try.

awesome meal.

we ordered the hot stone bi bim bap ($12.99) and it was huge! the veggies were delicious and the pot sizzling just like a like it. the menu listed on urban spoon is a bit out of date, the dishes are around $1-3 more expensive, but still well worth the price (especially the bi bim bap).

we also order the korean pancake and the chicken+beef bulgogi. the pancake was yummy and crispy, perhaps a touch on the salty side, but i still really enjoyed it.

i was skeptical of this place at first due to it's exterior, but i'm happy i gave it a shot. the service was tentative, a real mom and pop kind of place.

i will be going here again.

don't judge a book by its cover!. to put it kindly, korea house is not exactly the most aesthetically pleasing at first glance, but if you can look past that, it will be well worth your while. the food is delicious, service is friendly and helpful to those not familiar with the menu, and prices are very reasonable. a few must-tries are the seafood pancake, beef bulgogi, and the hot pot bi bim bap. i will definitely be returning!

i love this place! i would say it's the only one place in dunedin where you can really experience the real korean taste.
foods are nice, services are also good.
thumbs up!

i liked it. after a few years, it seems that if i want korean food in either regina or saskatoon, i always end up in korea house.
/
the food:
our sea food pa jeon was a pancake with various seafood ingredients embedded within. it was crunchy on the outside while fluffy on the inside. it had some great flavors.
their staple, the hot stone pot bee bim bob, was once again very well done. even after unloading half a bottle of that 'red sauce' into the bowl, i still could not get it to be spicy enough.
as food goes, their special fried rice was also good.
/
overall:
the service is good and the food comes out quite quickly for lunch (roughly around 12 minutes). korea house has some unique dishes done to a high quality that one will not typically find elsewhere in saskatchewan. not the best in canada, but very good for now.

every dish i've had at korea house has been delicious, warming and comforting. i always leave wanting more because it tastes so good. i definitely recommend the gamjatang and jelly tofu stew (can have meat in it). the tofu stew is so silky and has such a deep flavour to it.

they refill your banchan and rice if you ask but i wish they gave more of it!! the little potato cubes are so delicious i could eat a whole bowl of them.

korea house is a staple for winter as most dishes are soupy and they have plenty of hot pots which warms you up. don't forget to go during the lunch hours as you can get 20% off the price which makes the meals well worth the price tag.

really enjoyed our korean meals for lunch. everything was great except for the spicy seafood soup, it was lacking the seafood flavour which i only could taste through the seafood meat. good portions of food and meat. side dishes were ok. waiter was very helpful.

great customer service as we’d read from all the reviews. they went out of their way to accommodate our needs, especially with a young child.

i had a vegetarian bibimbap and ordered tofu instead of meat. my fussy 5yo had the chicken bites and left only a few pieces behind.

enjoyed the meal - the restaurant was quickly packed on a friday night when the surrounding restaurants were dead. please we read the reviews and may even head back before we leave dunedin!

this korean restaurant on george st serves a good variety of korean essentials. bibimbap, bulgogi, kimchi pancake, spicy pork grill etc. not the most elegant and romantic place for a date but best perhaps for an easy weeknight dinner. the banchan (side dishes) is yummy but not the most exciting combination.

this is a fantastic restaurant for authentic korean dishes. the food is exceptional and the service is fast and friendly. the only thing to knock off a point for is the dated decor and atmosphere; it is a stereotypically dingy looking (but clean) asian restaurant on an out of the way street. however the food is amazing and well worth the detour.

awesome little restaurant on george street. the waiter is very friendly and helpful. three of us shared fried tofu, chicken wings, pan fried dumplings, bbq beef with kimchi and chicken noodles with fish cakes. everything was so delicious especially the bbq beef and i loved the texture of the noodles and the fresh capsic with it. the dumplings were nicer then chinese ones. would love to come back
