we were really looking forward to the opening of koi! and it certainly didn't disappoint! the food was excellent!dimsum, sushi fresh and tasty as can be with the best range of dipping sauces! our waiter could have been more attentive, and they are still waiting for there liquor license but a great spot for a tasty meal.

brendan linder and i had a lovely lunch here one sunday afternoon and the food for the most part was spectacular and fresh. the music created a vibrant atmosphere and made for an afternoon well spent. the tempura prawns and my sushi platter was sensational. the pad thai noodles were flavourless and require much improvement. the deep frieddimsum were also memorable. the service was slow , but due to them opening recently that was expected. i look forward to coming back ☺️

the menu is limited but delicious. thedimsum and bao buns are authentic and tastey. i had the chocolate fondant for dessert. it was sweet, tangy warm and cool.

one of the best places to grabdimsum and any great asian cuisine. my boyfriend and i often come to this restaurant and have not been disappointed as of yet. the decor is lovely and there is the option of sitting on the roof deck looking over the square of restaurants in menlyn maine.

so decided on a chilly winter’s evening to have dinner at koi. we received a very warm welcome from the host. the staff were so friendly and pleasant. although the restaurant is big, the ambiance was quite warm and romantic with soft lighting. fresh and contemporary decor! loved the fact that the drinks and food menu was so extensive! so we tried some japanese beers which were refreshing and quite different. they have a few to choose from! for starters... we ordered different items off the menu, likedimsum, money-pockets, etc. and for mains sushi. the food was very tasty and delicious, some of the best i’ve tasted. the flavors and freshness were spot on. for dessert 🍮 probably one of the best and tastiest puddings i have ever had, it was pina colada type meringue. will definitely return to try more things on the menu!

koi...i'm actually not sure how to rate this establishment. dinned there on a saturday evening when there was a concert happening at times square, so packed is an understatement of how full it was.  the establishment is lovely, service was however veeeeeeeeery slow because it was so packed. this restaurant is just ok. i didn't enjoy thedimsums, they were very doughy, the tempura prawns where something else. the rest of the food was just ok. wasn't to impressed about this place...

my friends and i visited koi on a tuesday so it was relatively quiet. the new menlyn maine branch maintains that simple elegant design of koi. i was disappointed to find that their renowned seared tuna was out of stock. exasperated i stuck to theirdimsum part of the menu. the most memorable part of our meal was the way in which the teas were served.

this restaurant is close to perfection! we have been to koi's previous lynnwood bridge location, but they have improved by leaps and bounds with the move to central sqaure. the venue is breathtaking with modern twists and a luxurious feel. the service was good, can be improved. the food was flawless. as a group of 4 we could not fault a single thing. thedimsum is to die for and both the crispy duck and ribeye can be highly recommended. will definitly keep on returning!

always love going to koi for theirdimsum and duck pancakes. also tried the tom yum soup this time. it was delicious. the seafood however l, although fresh, was minimal and could have have a few more morsels in the soup. the duck was rather dry this time and could have been a bit juicer. all in all a good experience. thedimsum is to die for as always.

dim sums and deep fried wontons in veg and chicken. i hardly find a place where i can have the above options. luckily found koi. tried their chickendimsums and wontons. they were yum..but expensive. not matching the price 😒

finally the new koi at menlyn maine is open! i missed them. greatdimsum and a nice new green papaya salad. many new things on the menu. food was great but they've become even more expensive. almost put off by the prices. simple lunch of shareddimsum, salad and water came to r460 with a tip

a great experience and definitely highly recommended. we opted to do a selection of different small meals anddimsum. thedimsum are out of this world, i really could not get enough. the small meals were also good. there were a few hits and misses but that goes down to personal taste and cannot be blamed on the restaurant. they still do not have a liquor license, however they do accommodate the alcohol situation with the help from neighboring restaurants. over all a must go venue in pretoria. the pricing is on the upper end however it is justified by the quality and taste.
